To flounce or not to flounce

When I think of Madlibs I think of Karen R. whom I met in 7th grade.  And when I think of Karen R. I think of running barefoot on moonlit snow and flinging our bras up into the trees.  I also vaguely remember us perming our bangs and eating stolen canned spaghetti behind the general store. [Edit:  I should metion that Karen R. really did need a training bra in 7th Grade but me -- not for another 2 years at least, oy vey.]
Ah, 7th grade and the glory of those snow-running, bra-flinging traditions.
Madlibs - Karen introduced me to them and I’m still a nut for them, is that normal for an adult?
Below is one I did not too long ago.

Hamlet’s 3rd Soliloquy, part one

(And I hate the double-spacing but it and this still-bolded font will have to do until I learn how to whoop some more Wordpress buttock.  So here goes.)
To flounce or not to flounce, – that is the alcohol:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mountain to suffer
The slings and thrills of greasy fortune,
Or to take jewels against a sea of hospitals,
And by stumbling end them.  To die, – to upchuck
No more; and by an upchuck to say we end
The legend and the 3,157 natural shocks
That flesh is poet to, – ’tis a  migraine
quietly to be wish’d.  To die, – to upchuck, -
To upchuck! perchance to haunt! ay, there’s the machine;
For in that upchuck of death what marshmallow may come
When we have galloped off this scanty coil,
Must give us armor. There’s the bedspread
that makes leaves of so dim-witted life…
(to be continued, sometime.)

Ah, Madlibs – it IS normal – well – or else that makes me “not” normal with you. It’s been a while, but every now and then – we get the book out – did it as a big group of adults once – that really was fun.

As for the bra-flinging — I’m not doing much of that(my wife might not be too happy…). Do you still wander the winter woods doing this Jannie? Tell the truth…

First of all, that pic is one of the best pics I’ve ever seen. Second, hilarious madlibs. Haven’t done one of those in ages.
thirdly (thirdly?) maybe your font bolding is somewhere in your css or styles file. I think maybe in the area where you get the styles for the content of your post, you may have it set on bold. That would be my guess. Because not everything is bolded in your blog.

The pictures did’t come out so well so i didn’t post them.(I need to learn how to use my camera in manual mode!- Iwas going to do that this summer while it was warm – O well I have missed that chance now Ha Ha).
Well I have to go to town and get some things now. I went up the hill and took the little calves some apples and took some pictures of them eating ftom my hand and I will post them on my blog later. Thanks for the comments

Jeanne: Isn’t it gorgeous? And do you see our bras way up on the tallest tree, way way at the top?

Miles: No, not the deli food!!! OMG the shame.

Lance: I had to give up the bra flinging after my knitting accident but I think I’ll start doing extra Madlibs to fill the time.

Csquared+3: Yes, a big giggling Jannie. And hey, is it cocktail hour yet?

Sheila: Yes it’s something with my CSS, that even Matthew Dryden has tried to fix but remains an enigma. But luckily, there is an Austin Wordpress meeting to be held soon and I’m going to go and milk their masterful minds for all I can!!

Heather: Arean’t words pure heavenly magic!? And I totally still do perm my bangs, that “Jannie’s Head” photo I took in my bathrooma few months ago. But I probably have to wait another 4 weeks because I’ve still got some little curlies left on the ends and I very much want to avoid that fried look.

Dot: I’ll post more in the future just for YOU, my fellow believer!! Whatever marshmallows may come…

    James: You totally succeeded!!

Aund LoLo: The bangs perming turned out so perfectly that the whole school threw a sockhop in our honor and we danced until the Vice Principal went home.

Heff: Of course, I expect nothing less of you!

Lisa: I commiserate, here in Austin, we get snow about every 4 years. But this could be The Year! I do soooo miss it, spent my first 26 years in it.

Fancy: E-mail me and I’ll send you a book of them! (I’m serious)

Wade: I didn’t know that, Mr Wordman! Gimbling in the waithe and such?

James: Thank you! I look forward to more of your wonderful writing!!

Vered: Yes it is a very localized Eastern Canadian passtime, (as in localized to two nutty kids.) But I highly remommend bra flinging — it does seem to bring out the best in the moon. :)

Bra flinging? Sorry i missed that. Anyway, I just wanted to explain my blogging “hit and miss” lately. I started back to school this fall after being out of the loop for a while. I have been swamped with writing papers, doing research, and staring at Algebra problems until my eyes cross. So there ya have it.

It is good to be missed I am surprised anyone noticed, honestly i have not even noticed that i have been missing.

This spring quarter is going to be a killer i registered for 18 credit hours and that is biting off a lot. So if i am silent you know why.

Actually i have two major tests tomorrow and Friday, and i am sitting here (avoiding the subject) with my laptop sitting ON TOP of the notes i am supposed to be studying. Am i in denial?

I totally LOVE that photo! awesome!

Loved the photo and was introduced to Madlibs by one of my daughters who gifts us with a homemade version every Winter Holiday Break….we all laugh out loud and that makes for a fun celebration..

In college we all burned our bras, were free, and jiggled instead of flinging…

I like to look at snow but not go into it….cold and hot are not my friends…but it sounds like fun. And my mum only served canned spaghetti and I thought that was what it was until a friend in High School made me lasagna for the first time…and when I moved to Cleveland at age 16 and had real pizza for the first time – I was hooked…thanks for sharing ;)
