“Sugar Lady” Video

Videos | Posted by Jannie on 22 May 2009 @ 4:04 PM 36 Comments

Funstering Management certifies that no cakes, cookies, candies and / or chocolate charms were harmed in the making of this video.

Gorgeous flowers on the table the night of the CD release show were an FTD surprise from two wonderful friends: Patricia of Patricia’s Wisdom — where she’s always helping individuals create positive life change and… Davina of Shades of Crimson — for Coaching Perfection and Personal Development.  Apologies for the fuzzy picture, but… sometimes things do get a little fuzzy here in funstertown.

Dear lovely peeps. Hello. Good morning.

Talon: Wrote that song with you in mind, of course! Even tho I’d not yet met you I knew your sugary soul was out there waiting. Have you ever felt you’ve known someone before you met them, or should I lay off the cake before 7:00a.m.?

Tammy-Cricket. And how precious are you? Just extra-special-peachy-precious, I do believe! That song felt fun to do, definitely a keeper, I do believe. Do you like blues? And thank for your welcome words of inpiration and charming worldly existence.

Weyrd1: Highly lovely to see you here again.
I put on 20 lbs when I wrote that song. And gain about 5lbs every time I sing it (’cause I munch out afterwards.) Do YOU have a sweet tooth ato go with your wine conniseuring teeth?? And why the heck can’t I spell conniseuring today?

J.D. Shoot, I forgot the whipped cream on top of this post. I’m trying to offer large portion sizes of funsterment here, with second and even third and fourth helpings encouraged with every post, so y’all come back now, ya hear??

Aimee: Welcome back! Enjoy the purple stripes while you can, they may up and disappear any minute — I do get to experimenting sometimes with my site background, colors, widget placement and such. So tell me, did you go get a sugary snack after watching that?

Snag: Day off cancelled!?? What?! Hope they’re paying you handsomely to compensate? Actually, the commnents are light on this so far, as I see. And I fiddled with every setting I can and still they are going into moderation. It’s just weird. Ah, but somewhere a pastry has my name on it, so all is far from lost. Oh, nope nothing on Youtube yet. You think I should?

Betsy; Glad you enjoyed it! And yes I was flabberghasted and moved that two people I’ve never realy “met” could do such a thing. And Patricia sent me a bottle of bubbly too, wich I shall post on separately sometime. I still have not opened it. But, boy-howdy I will!

Jannie, you’re an example to all of us who should be living our right lives & doing what we love. Awesome!

Lily was mouthing along to one of your songs the other day and I tried to get it on video, but as soon as I pulled out the camera she stopped. So I’ve got a video of her sitting there with your song (which one? gah!) in the background!

Great acoustics in this room! It sounds like an arena. I figure there are maybe 15,000 people in the audience, including people with home-made Jannie banners.

K: Sugar ladies rule! As witnessed by many of us indeed by cheesecakes, etc. The flowers lasted a full two weeks! And the par-tay was indeed a lovely event full of happy people feeling happy things.

Heaather: Was it the wedgie song she was mouthing?? We must corrupt them young. She must be a very musical child, I believe. And very very smart to be mouthing words so young. How wonderful. Speaking of wonderful – you iz it too!

Kimmi: I see your order for my CD – thanks!! It will go out Monday. No – Tuesday, because of the holiday. What fragrance of moonbeams would you like? I have some fresh lavendar, lemon, lilac, lily and lotus to chose from. Of course you an choose any kind at all, those are teh freshest at the moment.

Aimee: I have never gotten into iced teas, Texas, Canadian or otherwise. I’ve always liked my tea hot with milk. And most any kind of pie, but pumpkin, apple, strawberry-rhubarb, coconut cream, lemon and blueberry spring to mind first.

Edgar: I think the total head-count was 15,275. Darn good guess! It got a little crazy when lighters started setting people’s hair and those home-made banners on fire, might not be allowed back in that venue. Oh well, lots more big arenas to play in.

I have a few back fillings from my sugar ‘addiction’ and if I’m ever stuck for a username on a future website, I’ll know what to use…lol…with the song lulling away in the background. Keep up the talents, girl.

Well, Howdee, Peeps! Boy what a fine day it is. I do belive after I post this I may go nap. Or practice my carrot peeling for a while.

Dear Talon: Cake is a nice little pre-breakfast starter indeed. So many kindred spirits. Did you know my mom’s first name is Mildred? Yep, but people call her Mim.

Dear Mama Zen: Cool – yeah it is all so exceedingly cool, indeed around here. ;) ( I must remember that.) Thanks.

Dear Caity: Anytime, my dear!! Anytime. Videos open 24 / 7.

Dear Liara: Oooo, that’ll hold me for a lifetime thanks! And where, oh where, would I be without my angels (you included?)

Dear Brenda: So sorry about your viewing problem. That happens on one of my computers too, and I don’t know how to explain it, maybe some kind of Internet setting. I am wondering if I should go with Youtube, altho I prefer the higher quality of Vimeo. It has been great to discover your blog!

Dear Thomma Lyn: Gee thanks. (blushing here.) have you a sweet tooth to? I ate Nips a while ago, the caramel ones. You know them? O.M.G.

Dear Paige: Isn’t that a wonderful table cloth. I got it for Christmas qquite a few years back, but the green comes in handy for al occasions. And yes, I am quite fond of those 2 people working that table!! :)

Dear Teahouseblossom: Thank you! I was quite blown away by Patricia’s and Davina’s surprise! And the vase is lovely, altho the vase I brought to the party is not the actual one the flowers came in — that one is like this… http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0022V5XHK/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

Dear Lena: Wow, there you are again! Welcome back. Maybe I’ll get over to your town on tour, but probably not until Kelly’s a lot older. Someday I plan on getting all my metal fillings replaced with white ones. It’s actually amazing I have a took at all left in my head.

Dear Tammy: Love / hate because you too are very fond of all things sugary? Oh the pastrees in France! Made fresh daily. The mille-feuilles. The chocolate raspberry ganache. The cream puff trees. Heading over to you right NOW…

Funstry, was a trifle put out that you chose not to send the 747 to up pick me from where it is I reside so that going forward I could appraise myself aurally as to the effect of your musical renditions. That being so I have secured a listen to the pieces on offer and find them to my taste, fiscal balance and the state of GDP not withstanding it behoves me to mark said cd onto my yuletide offerings, and especially if you have a discount round-up at that time. Not that I am cheap by any means,on the one hand though the Global financial crisis has taken toll upon us all nd we must put shoulder to the wheel and best foot forward so that as a nation(s) we may rise above this malaise and move forward as time will permit, in the short term.

Okay, here I iz, all exercised and refreshed. I’m not yet in my blue chiffon comment-replying gown tho, so please forgive.

Well, Hi Tammy! Sorry it’s been 2 days. Took a little time off for the Memorial Day holiday. I don’t believe I have a tooth in my head without a filling. Well, now that I recall maybe my 4 big molars are actually au naturel.

Jeanne: Funny, I thought the same thing about Kelly when I saw the video. I hadn’t even noticed during the show that she had hopped up and danced around like that – she does it all the time, as I’m sure your Katie is a lively little sweetie too, is she? What a complete joy to have a child. That surely brought tears to my eyes about the flowers and champagne from Patricia and Davina, yes! And on your last statement — Ahhhh, super-shucks, Girl. Thank you! So much. YOU are SWEET TOO!!!

Liara: In my chestnut tree, at the shore, here at my computer – angels dancing all around always. Do you think I should get my aura read? And who would you recommend for that? And next time I lighten up my roots should I go for the “Frivolous Fawn” or the “Waving Wheat” hue??

Snag: Yez, not very nice of me to taunt the diabetics or those on low “crab” :) diets with that tune – I should’ve put a warning on. Oh, my vanity wants a teeth overhaul too. Veneers would be nice. Mabye some day if my “hip” :) comes in. Oh, a marshmallow ever easy on a beach fire would be so freaking good about now!! (but not one of those mini ones, too hard to find a skinny enough beach stick for them. Do you like them golden or burnt?

Barbara: Ooo, thanks! I have come a long way, haven’t I, Baby?! And my friends, like yo,u are just THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! My family — don’t get me started on their wonderfulness or you’d never see an end to this comment.

Evita: What a lovely big eye you have (all the better to keep a watch over me, eh?!) I’m just pleased as punch to have “lured” you over here to my den of funiquity. Welcome, welcome! I will look forward to getting to know you better through your blog and to seeing lots of you. And you seeing lots of me!

Robbi: I know – my 747s in the shop, getting refitted for surround sound and a heated pool, wat bad tiing on my part. I’s all good! And I’ll let you know when I finally get off my, I mean get to the iTunes thing shouldst you ever desire to load up a favorite Jannie tune.

Sheila: Bay-bee, Shelia, I’m sure glad to see you ’round here again. (sing to Sugar melody.) Soon I’ll go to the Vie Folle Show and see what you’ve been up to my friend.

    yay!! Donut time.
