Jannie CD Give-Away (whoo-hoo!)

Friends | Posted by Jannie on 29 May 2009 @ 7:29 AM 71 Comments

Since I was so remiss in forgetting to tell you that part of Jungle of Life Lance’s interview-post on me was a give-away of my “I Need A Man” CD, I best be a-giving away a CD too!  Actually 2 CDs to 2 lucky winners.  Well, hopefully you’ll consider yourself lucky and not burdened to have it.  ;)

So let’s see, hmmmm.  Okay! Please below, leave a comment saying what you like about this Jannie Funster blog.  Comment as many times as you wish [the more times you comment the greater your chances are to win!  Win!  Win!!]  Then… Monday June 1st at 8:00 p.m. Central (Texas) Time, Kelly and I will see how many comments in total there are, she will choose 2 of those by number at random and we will read those 2 comments out loud – for the whole world to hear, as I’ll videotape her choosing and post it here.  Y’all come back Tuesday morning to see who won!

If you already have one of my CDs, you could always give another as a present, or frame it and hang it on your pantry wall to think of me each time you go for the sugah, Sugah.

So… ready… set …  comment!!

I already have a CD, which I like listening to when I’m reading Bord on a Wird. Other things I love about Jannie Funster.com are the extremely helpful and carefully proofraed Kelp Knitting instructions, as I am overrun with kelp and need to knit it up as fast as I can. Also, the bra-flinging really makes me feel a kinship because I fling a bra every day as soon as I get home from work.

What can I say? I already have your CD, of course, and it’s amazing… but I certainly wouldn’t mind winning a copy that I could give out to my blog readers when I do the blog giveaway contest where I’m already planning on giving out one of your CDs. Why not up it from 1 copy to two. Why not enrich another blog reader’s life?

What do I like about your blog? What’s not to like? It’s funny, creative, witty, and thoughtful. You brighten people’s day.

I’m so glad you found my blog way back when. I can’t imagine life without Funsterment.

Hope to see you on my new blog on MONDAY!!

    :)

    Jeanne

P.S. Just a quick note: to the reader above (TheWeyrd1) who was unsure of the “I Need A Man” song title, I assure you that if you listen to the words you’ll see the irony overflowing. I won’t spoil it for you by spelling out the lyrics but it’s probably (the title) not what you think. :) That Funster sense of humor is in full gear…

Ohmygosh, Tess & Lisa have the right idea, just bombard the comments section like a snowstorm of ideas, and Kelly will be impressed, and Jannie will be impressed, and I am already impressed. I agree that Lance is funnier than a three-legged dog on Sunday, and I do my best to add to the fun. I am a Funsterite, a lover of Funsterland because I have no choice. On those rare days that I do not check in, my Funster buzzer goes off in my left front pocket, and it will not quit buzzing until I check out the latest crazy doins here at the Texas Land of Funster. I also agree that part of the fun is being a member of the Funster responders, the agile commentors–for they are warm-hearted, full of fun and some brilliant insights too. Nowhere else in all of the cyberspace can one get the validity of bra flinging, the songs, the humor, the pics of Kelly and Jim and horses, and the Funster deck and back yard. By the way, Miss Kelly, we need some pictures of the inside of your play house. How have you decorated it? Have you repainted it pink inside? Are there shelves for all your stuffed little friends? Is there a tea set? Are there books to read? Does your kitty hang out there too?

Oh noble zen master Jannie come forth from your yoga pose and cloud of smoke and pour forth some of that wisdom you have gained while in meditation……. or should I say sedation from that peyote smoke?

    Hey! I’m here. whee-hoo!

Lance: Of course yo’re in teh right palce to learn yer writin’ n such. Stick with us.

Dot: Bra flinging for me is akin to trading my jeans for sweats when I get home. And I may post some of my newest kelp creations soon.

Momisodes: I think those typos will just keep on coming, so stay tuned!

Lynn: I love the blog world too, evermoreso because you are in it. And I’ll be here a-funstering for long, long time, I hope.

Liara: I gave up my underwires many moons ago for nice sports bras. Gosh, when you think of the corsets and such of yore — talk about restricting things. Like breath!

Brandi: Well at least you know next time not to pick numbers 25 and 46. And keep those cookie vibes coming, they might be just the ticket. Oh, and thanks for the warrior blogroll thing, we are marching Joy Rebels. Wow, and a twit too. I mean a tweet. Thanks!!

Hey, Kim: Lured you over here yet again. :)

Paige, well hello you of comment number 12 – and 25! YOU WINNER!!!!! Congratulations. Guess your man WILL get that new CD and a chainsaw. And hopefuly he won’t want to chainsaw the CD. And, really – are you really getting a chainsaw for your man?

Hey G: I will have to check into that thing you mention. And thanks for your lovely words!

Weyrd1: Yes, a bit of irony, moreso as I was IRONing my sheets as the lyrics came to me whilst I gazed out at my overgrown garden.

Ooo, Thomma Lyn, thanks. I’m your fan-girl right back here. And you know Mirror Blue is next in line for me to read! reading Tess Marshall’s wonderful book now.

Hi Natural! I do get up to a lot of different things here, don’t I?! Glad to see you again.

Liara: Thank you so much. She looks like an angel. Still have no sounds on computer, but I can see her sweet soul shining forth as she shares her joy of song.

Lisa: She did go crazy for those Littlest Pet Shop animals last year, still loves them but they are on her shelf now.

Caity: How utterly sweet. I had no idea you cared as deeply. Thank you. “your writing style is like no other.” I’m gonna take that as a good thing. :)

Jeanne: I’m so glad I found your blog too! And that I can come to your house soon to deliver that load of wood — you can never be too prepared for winter, or too early. Yes, your new blog is rocking, tho I havne’t been there since early yesterday. “I’ll make sure your mom stops stealing yoou chocolate!” LOL!! good one. Shoot, I need to send you that other Kelly MP3. will soon. !

Sheil: The free-ness yes, never a care over here. Kind of how my Mountain Mist laundry smell makes me feel, I bet.

Talon: And now that you see her in video, ain’t she a hooty-hoot!

Jeanne( my “new” Jeanne, ) How lovely to see you here! Thaks for the visit, it means a lot to me! See you soon at your blog.

Heather: You are so sweet. Love ya Girl! And wow, I actually did not mispell your name as Heater this time. See how much my typing is improving?

Paige: Well, you needed not grovel at all to receive that dangling treasure that gleamed before your eyes! Congrats, again.

Tess: Wow, thanks. You must not get over to a lot of blogs. :)

    Tess: Ah, adorable – thanks!

Tess: Yep, real as rain over here. Reading your book now, am on Chapter 5, which proves it’s 2-way-street on the olde real and authentic part. You keepin’ me honest too.

Tess: Lance is not only an uplifting and inspirational kind of guy but funny as heck too! When I told him his CD was on the way he went out to camp out at his mailbox with some cheetos and a chocolate bar.

Tess; Yes doesn’t living vicariously thorugh me bring a thrill to no end?! Everybody should try it! And try living on donuts too.

Tess: Did you notice an especially bad hair day on the video that follows this post? I mean literally – my hair?? I might comb it for the next video.

Tess: I do indeed love simplicity and the joy in little things. Like my new lemon squeezer.

Tess; Link love is a good good thing too! Someday I may be linked in as many as 12 other people’s blogs!

Tess: You bold, bold thing! You rock on too. i loved your boldness here, you didn’t give yoruself that nam for nothing, woman!

Yaya: It is no doubt Jeanne is a big fan of yours too. And that so many other people are too, you get scads and scads of comments over there. I’ll be checkin in again with you soon.

Liara: And you remind people of the pulse of nature, that all is light-energy and that we choose our own moods and paths. Bravo!

Debbie: I hope your excitement has not crashed and burned at not having won this round? :)

Carla: Yes, I blatantly flaunt my daughter’s cuteness. But I really can’t help it – she just came that way!!

Karyn: And now I’ve changed up the Commenting Code again, as I am won’t to do as often as I change my background color / pattern.

Snag: Wow, I must be pretty funny, or something? Sometimes maybe, I guess. Oh, and Fred, Fred, you know he and Jasmine Francesca LaRue eloped in Reno, right? And I’m trying to get him to continue his blog assistant duties from afar but I think he’s got other things on his mind. Actually it’s already anulled, updates to follow.

And now a little break for Jannie!

Mama Z: I’d have to say that is a reciprocal assessment on the uniqueness front, as the mold was broked when you came shining forth.

Liara: Oh, I love that comment. And why does it speak to me so? 3’s and 7’s, yes indeed — I am very very fond of those events and groupings. And I’ve removed the moat from my castle. And the mote from my very big eye. (Stay tuned for the rabbit.)

Nikki: And now that you’ve seen and heard my “winner picker” in motion you see just how fully cute and entertaining she really is. And congrats! Your comment, number 46, was one of the 2, as you probably know by now, as it’s been announced on national t.v!

Davina; Feeding you guys extra-sugary donuts. And tlc where required. Oh, so glad you like the wedgie song – it does seem to have a a universal appeal. Something about a rousing underwear song, eh, that always gets ‘em going!

Lisa Newton: Of course you stood a chance but it was just not to be this time. Really? You love my header?? I did once too. Nah, it’s okay. Thank you. Thank you, good college try. Blue stripes could be yanked out from under you at any moment, depending on my mood. It seems October has arrived early! And… so sweet your last comment – thank you. I don’t get over to yours for every post either but I do like that Travelin’ Local thang you got goin’ on there. Great photos.

Snag: Them elves are quite befuddlin’ my noggin. I think my settings are right exactly back to where I had them beore I started fiddlin.’ But something remains a bit awry. What, oh what, can it be?

Robin: And I’d feared my “parabolic izoidism ” was slipping lately. Glad to know I still got it goin’ on! :) yay, Jannie-meister. Mistress? Jannie-mistress?

Glenn: A 3-legged dog on Sunday, eh? Is that as funny as a bag of hammers?? Playhouse pic to come eventually! And rest assured, agile commenters only are accepted here.

Wade: I love Paris in the fall. I love Paris in the winter when it drizzles. I love Paris in the summer when it sizzles! Ah, what a tune indeed! ow the corus does soar.

Erin. Ah, so lovely. Refreshing. Divine. And thanks for the Dan Mitchell CD!!! I feel a bit guilty now with you not finding favor with the lottery gods here. But I’m sure you are a big girl and nicely grown up and able to take such crushing blows in stride.

J.D. And here’s something unexpected… I might eat a banana later. It’s sitting here on my desk. It’s almost a bit to ripe but I think I could chance it. That’s the thing about these modern bananas, you buy ‘em green and an hour later they are brown. Maybe it’s the Texas weather. Or the mosquitotes lately. Or Fred’s fault.

Lance: You may be interested in an up-coming Jannie Cooking Moment – aiming for a bit of fun-stir then. I might even incorporate it into a kelp-knitting session so Dot can see my famous technique.

Hi Jannie: sorry you didn’t have time to edit the video to professional flawless quality in every single way, but I kind of liked the raw untamed you in it.

Tammy, yes one hour and a million comments too late you came. Forgiven!! I know you have a “real ” life too. I had one once, now I’m just all ones and zeroes, in fact may not even exist at all outside cyberspace — I’ll have to double-check with my funstering life specialist on that. Sorry about D.

Tammy, again: The Texas princess, yay! You know I’ve long aspired to that — was stuck as a duchess for so so long, then an Earlette before that, then a semi-somebody semi-detached landowner. Zen? Well, interesting, a very new way of looking at myself that’ll be. And how’d you know about the peyote? You got a hidden camera in my shed out back?

Adrenalynn: You gotta move fast over here at funsterland to keep abreast of the latest breaking news! But another give-away with Secret Prize involved!

And let’s call that a wrap, shall we, fabulous peeps?!
