Another chance!

Friends | Posted by Jannie on 4 June 2009 @ 7:58 AM 65 Comments

Friends, if you missed out on winning one of my CDs in the recent extravaganza, be not of heavy heart. My pal Jeanne bought two and is offering one on give-away as part of the launch of her new site, Chronic Healing!  To be eligible all you have to do is pop over there and leave a comment on this post.  How easy is that?  She’ll pick the winner June 8th.

And that photo above, just one of my favorites ever I took of Kelly.  She was 5.  Tap dance recital costume.

[Oh yeah, over at Jeanne's you can leave multiple comments to increase your chances of advanced Janniedom, thanks Jeanne!]

I had to comment first again so you wouldn’t get your hopes up, then dashed that you were not actually first, due to the naughty comment elf still having his way with my site. (Have now revised section 52, article 11, sub-section 1.8 of the funstering codebook to allow myself to comment first. )

But whoever comments second will actually be first, which of course you won’t actually know if you are until the Moon’s once again in Mercury’s house.

    Oy.

Wow, Jannie needs a man with a chainsaw, and Kelly looks like she is ready for her photo op doing Gerber shots and commercials. Too soon she will be chasing boys. Too soon she will inseperable from her cell phone. Too soon you will need to help her with prom dresses, orthadoncia, a car, some tickets, college, a fiance….
oh yes, even though she flips love, hug her so hard she squeals while you still can. Soon she will be embaressed by her Mom in public, in front of her friends. Soon she will want to ride horses more, have a motorcycle, see South America. Soon, soon, too soon.

Actually my typos are cool too, but she will be flipping lip not love, having orthodonic braces, will be inseparable from her black berry, and God help us, one day will do some bra flinging of her own.

Hey I have that extra Jannie CD now too, the one the elephant sat on. Maybe I should have a contest too. No, I will keep it, for two Jannies, dueling Jannies are superior to one, sort of. Glad to hear that the “new” songs on the “next” CD will be brassier and bluesie and
full of pep beyond sweetness; for you have more than your share of both. I am afraid of going to Jeannie’s blog and joining into the contest. What if I won? Three Jannie CD’s? Gosh, that would be mind boggling.

Jeanne. I know! I guess you and I were typing about the same time up there on comments 1 and 2. Here’s the weird thing… when I set my comments to moderate anything with 1 link or more it puts everyone into moderation, even tho I told it to automatically approve anyone who had been previously approved. And when I tell it to accept any comment, of course the spam gets posted. But you are WONDERFUL!! Your new blog is looking great and I’m so proud of you for plunging into your switch-over with unbridled abandon. And thanks again for buying not only 1 but two CDs and for being so gracious and generous as to give one away. You rock and I imagine you always will in my books. Oh, and thanks for the reminder in your second comment up there. I edited this post to reflect that! xo

Talon: Isnt’ it, tho? She had just had the official dance photo taken and was standing in the hallway afterward and re-created the pose for me. Just love it, obviously!

Glenn: I never did go the commercial route with her cuteness. (Altho I’m making about $7.00 a month off my Google ads.) If she wants to pursue modeling or acting when she’s older I’ll more than support her. Thankfully, for the past few months she has given up on her constant harping for a cell phone. She is growing up too fast already, I know. And embarassment, she already says I embarass her when it’s just the two of us together, as in my crazy songs I make up in the car and such. But she’s a big, big hugger. First thing every morning when she rises she comes to me for cuddles. I hope it will always be that way!

Belle: Yes, so sweet! And her eyes set it all off I think. Hope you are well. I’ll be checking in on you soon.

Mostly of beer on tap,, but teh danceing reels me in too.

J.D. Thank you. Deeply. And imagine if I actually had a decent camera, which I am sure will happen in time! I will then enter a contest for advanced blogging photo excellence, if such a thing exists.

It sure is cute tho, wish I had one in my size, but all long and flowing to skim the tops of my ankles and create that je ne sais quoi with every step of my glorious red shimmering existence. I don’t quite like short skirts on me. Do you? I mean, do you like them on you.

Weyrd1: Yep, my sentiments exactly on the cuteness. And don’t forget to hop on over to Jeaanne’s for a chance to finally hear about my Chainsaw Man it its musical entirety.

K: Isn’t this added chance for a CD give-away just the bees knees, elbows and wing-gossamer ?!

And wow, Peeps — am I totally on the ball with my comment response today, or what!!? I’m getting sooooo good with my computering attentiveness, I think I’ll give myself a prize. Maybe some dandelion fluff or go out and fine some birch bark to make myself a mini canoe to sail my new carrot peeler in the bathtub.

Jeanne, I AM a P.O. Box owner, arent I? I keep forgetting that and then one of you will remind me or I’ll see it on my new gold-leaf return address labels and its truth comes flooding to fill my entire existence with heavenly joylight. (As Handel’s Alleleuia sounds.) Thanks for the reminder.

Mama Zen: Thank you! And I love Karyn’s idea above.

Karyn: As to our e-mail of earlier, I am totally going to do a post on Gravatar.com next. Could well be other Blogger bloggers think that they need to have a Wordpress blog to have their little pic appear here. Thanks for shaking things up here, in a good way. And I bet everybody falls deeply in love with little Barkcaly. Who couldn’t?

Hey Liara: Wanna co-write a song?? You sure got the rhymes going on!

Teahouse: She’s really something, that’s for sure! Personality PLUS! And so photogenic, of course.

Davina: Well, I’ve always liked that song “The House Of The Rising Sun,” but I don’t think that has anything to do with Mercury and the Moon. Or the Dawning Of The Age Of Aquarius, does it? Nah, I’m not really into Astrology at all, tho a friend and I were talking last week how my numbers equal out to a “1″ whatever that means. Actually, I think it’s all pretty-much for me, and please forgive me here, a crock. Sorry! :) But it can certainly be entertaining for me. Like horoscopes.

Barbara: She is far far cuter than I ever have or ever could hope to be, looks a fair bit like her dad too. But thank you for the “like mother, like daughter” sentiment!

Snag: She was in a ballet / tap combo class and so wished they could’ve done ballet for teh recital. But I think the outfit and number they did was the best! I’ll post the video some day, as it’s on DVVD so won’t need to be converted over as all my digital mini-tapes, will. The song they tapped to was “An Apple For The Teacher,” and it was pretty sweet, as you can imagine. There were I think 10 or 11 dancers in the troupe. Farmgirl me never had the chance to do dance. WHAT?! What were they doing with little children after midnight? What? Good about the folk and square dance success, tho. And doe-see-doe. allamanna right, allamanna left…

Yaya: IT seems to be working out quite well over there, haven’t been since last night but she’s reelin’ ‘em in! I’m so glad for her new beginning.

Tammy: Hey, I got rid of the weird monsters and now you’re a big weird grinning face for your pic. What do you think of it?? But thanks to happenstance via Karyn, I’m next goign to do a post on Gravatar.com, to tell eveyone how easy it is to upload their own pic to appear anywhere on the web beside their comments. It’s lilnked to your e-mail address.

Lady in red is right. I’ve always loved that song. And his Patricia The Stripper, which has fond memories for me in my freshman year, as the girls in my residence made me dance to it in Kargaroo Court. In fact, there was bra flinging involved! But I was wearing another underneath, so it wasn’t R-rated.

Lynn: I do love being all dolled up too. Sometimes I “clean up” rather acceptably – even wear eye-liner. And panty-hose. :)

Nikki: Yay!! I bet you get it on Monday. Or Tuesday. As all other CDs I mailed, yours went out “First class, no sass, kick ass!” Yes, the picture is so cute, almost breaks my heart with its sweetness.

Yay!!! life is so great today. xoxoxo

Well, well, well. Sunday is such a lovely day to be alive. Monday is too. And Tuesday. Wednesday. Etc.

Patricia: Listening to my CD, are you? I guess for a first attempt it’ll do. Having “reader problems?” As in your readers are getting a little feisty again? :) Ballet can be a challenge for the wee (and big,) ones to perfect — each move so precise. Has she tried clog dancing? That’s relaxed me beyond compare.

Tammy: Yes, and it’s a colored-past tradition I still honor on a daily basis! How ’bout you? :)

Thomma Lyn: You mean my CD has not worn you out yet? Goodness. Do you have a favorite song on it?

Snag: Did you really mean to say “The Neds?” Now I gotta go Google “The Neds.” Who the hell are “The Neds?” Here I go.

Does the Green Day flyer on the sidebar mean that you’re the opening act? I often skip opening bands but I’ll try to get there early.

Tammy: That’s the spirit! Fling that sucker whenever you can. :)

Jeanne: That was fun. No it was SUPER-FUN. I mailed the CD to Susie today. Hawaii. That’s where she lives. Some day I’ll go there. Will you? Hey, you and I cao go there together with our hubbys after our girls go off to college.

Hey Chris. Actually, Green Day will be opening for me. :) tee, hee. And Chris, you’ll have a backstage pass, for sure.
