Self-Portrait With iPhone, Yesterday

Self_portrait_Jan_2010

So, friends, I think I figured it out!! A perfect blog posting schedule for me.

Wednesdays will be photo-only days, with a little description, of course. And Fridays and Mondays will generally see meatier fare offered here. Not that pictures cannot be meaty — I don’t mean that at all.  Let’s just say, Wednesdays will be a bit of a “breather” day for me. Whoo-hoo!!

So that’s the plan I’m really really excited about.

I was considering closing comments on the Wednesday photos, to allow me to keep up better with bloggity wonders, but as people offered their astute input on that query, I changed my mind.

Can you all handle the updated Jannie plan?!

Can I hear some doopity-doos????

:)

Love to all.

Grannie Jannie Fannie Meister

    Dear Happy Jannie,
Hey, just look at that smile! Someone’s pretty happy about this new schedule!

Doopity doo da Doopity doo day! My oh my what a wonderful day!!

And – I checked with the officials up here – they have to make a couple of amendments to some laws…and then this schedule will be completely legal here in Wisconsin. So…I’ve went underground right now, until all this passes. It’s dark underground….luckily I took my handy dandy mini flashlight. So, I’m okay (no worries). And…my wife has strictly prohibited me from flinging any bras until all these laws become official.

From my hole in the ground to you and yours…Happy January 13th!!!

Well Hi, Mad Cat Lady!! Great to see you, hope you’ve been super-well. HNT.. HNT… I think I should know what that means in blogging but I don’t. High Noon Tickling? Happy Non-Thursday? Please forgive me — I know not that that means. Cute, yes, that’s me!! (Blushes.) :)

Jeanne!! I am actually thinking I’ll get my other camera sorted out (it often gives me a “system error” message, and conks out,) and start putting up better-quality photos again. Be more of a pro! The iPhone is just so convenient, but I want to change my photographic ways. I love you too, Jeanne!!!

Lance !! Plenty of sunshine coming our way. I so appreciate that you’ve begun the necessary work to clear my posting schedule with your authorities up there in the Great State of cheese, wood violets and robins — yes I Googled those last two facts expressly for this comment. Are the robins back yet? Can you see them with your flashlight? Are they banned from Jannieland too until the new writs go into effect? Ya nut!!

Jewel!! Doopity-doo. I heart you too. And every horse you ever rode in or out on. :)

Lynn!! Cute, eh?? I bet you say that to ALL the blogging iPhone self-portraiting Jannies you know!! ;)

LOVE ALL YOU GUYS EVEN MORE THAN EVER!!!

It’s way too early for the robins. Geese? We still have them around here though. All I see with my flashlight is dirt. Well, and my computer built into my big toe (that’s finally paying off!). Almond! That’s what kind of nut I’d be! Well, except then I might start to gnaw on my hands….I LIKE almonds! So, maybe that’s a bad choice. I’d be a walnut. Then I could just hang out on the wall. What kind of nut are you, Jannie??

Mama Z! Totally, yes. I was thinking of posting just Monday and Friday, but seemed just a wee sparse for my highly defined inner blogging sensibilities.

Lance!! I remember geese in Laura Ingall’s Wilder’s “The Long Winter” and how they flew south from Wisconsin much too early that year, a pre-cursor of a hard 5 months to come. And do you still get “locusts” up there who some summers eat everything? Grasshoppers. And funny– Jim just bought 20 2-lb bags of almonds on clearance sale at Whole Foods — for like $2.99 a bag — awesome deal!!! I’ll have to send you some with your perfectly good mismatched socks.

Paige!! That camera goes through double A batteries like crazy, like 2 an hour if I’m using the camera a lot. I did get the manual out the other day to see if I can suss it, but I need to OPEN the manual, I think and peer inside. Work, really?? Full-time hours? No! Please, no. Well, I’ll try to post about 7:00 a.m on MWF! If I can keep off the morning liquor, that is. :)

J.D.!! Yes, I figured with all the heavy seriosity going around here, the least I can do is offer you guys a little happy mid-week post. Ya think? A bit of a no-brainer for Jannie to put up one fav. picture. I hope it’s a no-brainer, anyway. :)

Vered!! Totally, yes. I think it may be my magic formula for success and personal happiness.

Tammy!! Tomorrow, tomorrow, you’ll go back to school tomorrow. It’s only a… Day. A. Way!!! And Tammy, how much more schoolin’ ya in for, Woman?? Years and years? I’m so freaking glad my formal schoolin’ is well behind me. Now it’s all just breezy life-learning ahead.

    Toodles!!

Self-directed learning is always meaningful. On some level, people often feel they cannot trust themselves to respond impulsively all the time. Therefore, they turn to schedules and predictable, linear timelines to reassure and guide their evolution. This can certainly be meaningful. Yet, as you open yourself to greater fearlessness. You open to what you dream, you grow aware of a process that feelings are not programmed reactions. Mechanisms of control do not exist within a paradigm of completely free-flowing energy and trust. When people remain conscious, they know they are always in a good space. They realize feelings pass through them as teachers and to present opportunities to shift perception and expand consciousness. What you want is the end point.

The feeling inside and energy associated with how you would like to be living is the vibration you put out and what you hope to create. Consider how this compares to energy that is not your feeling of highest joy. As everyone is a powerful creator, they have opportunities to release guilt, compromise, belief in lack, and realize the related energy vibration is not compatible with who they are. All areas of your life are changing. This brings incredibly powerful feelings into your scope.

    Hi friends.

I just now added the Tweetmeme button — is that not a thing of intense brilliance, or what??! Actually, I think it’s a little big for the balance of my blog’s design, so I’m sure I’ll be a-tweaking, or my blog guru – Kim Woodbridge will be tweaking — Wordpress Consultant. She’s at http://www.kimwoodbridge.com/

    Anyhoo…

K!! Thanks, I hope it works out too. Beyond my wildest possible Life Dreams, so that the new posting schedule not only changes my life for the better but becomes my life and very reason for existence. :)

Liara!! I like how you post every day. I wish I could be free like that, but I’m personally hoping for a kind of “fearlessness within nice even borders.” :) What I hope to create is more readers, regular lurkers welcome too, and testing out ways to do so. I’ve read that it can create a bit of suspenseful fun if people know when you’ll be posting. We’ll see how it evolves!

Sheila!! Really You like that photo? It was hard not to get the camera in the way of my face. Maybe next time I’ll smile at the camera lens, which might make it look like I’m smiling directly at YOU guys! lol. From Jannie — She Of Ass Kicking. :)

Cindy? Really!! You would? I look best in color. Wanna work with that? That’s very generous. I am actually not ALWAYS fun. Wait — what am I saying?? Of course I’m fun 24-7!! Thanks. I very much appreciate your kind and generous offer.

Lance!! :) Quick — get back to searching out questions on the web to count before Sven finds his industrial strength flashlight and gets wise to your underground subterfuge tricks! I hear he’s got 10 eyes in the back of his winter hat.

Patricia!! Testing my toes in some water here on this regular posting plan, mostly to be able to get around and read the blogs I love so much. I know some bloggers routinely close comments, I wish I had the guts to do that, for I feel it does take guts. And I can’t see replying to some comments, but not others, that would feel weird to me. Photo day — photo day, yay, it’s photo day!!! And this green tea is delightful.

Sami Lemmings and lemming meringue pie!! The iPhone does take pretty good photos outdoors in good light. But I am going to be on a mission to get my regular camera back in great working order. Actually, now that my hubby (car dealer,) has to pay me off for selling my new (used,) car out from under me (again,) my 2001 Honda CRV gone — boo hoo — maybe I’ll go out and find me a deal on an even better camera. :) And kick some photo random arse!!

DOT!! But Congress?? They are the bunch I worry about on this. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi already have me on their alert list for excessive bra flinging. So great to see you, Dot!! I’ve been totally thinking about you, but darn you beat me over here before I could get to your blog. And thanks for the doopity-doo, that makes me feel all warm and extra special.

    xoxo

Dear Topsy Trackback!! Have a lovely automated day, okay!

Dear Avani!! Thank you so much. I’ve been thinking about you. Always great to see your shining face.

Dear Snaggle!! I think I can handle my new plan, yes. Least I hope I can. :) . I’ve got about 1000 pre-digital and 2000 good pictures to choose from, so I’m good on that end of things. And M & F will hopefully keep rolling along. Now… You do bring up a very very good point, that you will check here less often, a definite downside for me. But I am willing to take a chance, in the name of experimentation. HNT, I kind of think maybe-kinda you’re pulling my leg on that, but I can’t say for 100% sure you little rascal. :) . Oh — you like my port?? You should sample my Chablis. And my starboard!! Dippity-Doo never worked for me, hair too fine.

Dear Cinder!! Thanks so much, I never wouldve considered that all- important facet. What a nimble mind you have.

Dear Hilary!! Yes, since I’ve gotten exactly what I wanted — tons of blogging friends and post comments here and I do love getting around to everyone’s blogs, maybe as Patricia says, my not responding directly to Wednesday-Photo comments will allow me that time for reading my friends’ blogs. Speaking of which, and your wonderful blog, I am most intrigued now ad to why and how BB could be famous over there!! Exciting.

Dear Barbara!! You must forgive me, I do tend to make up gibberish words, often quite similar to known ones. Dippity-Dos were all the rage in the 80s, weren’t they? Unlike Brylkreem, a little dab did not do ya for most of the punk styles. Always a pleasure to see you, Barbara.

Dear Joyful Megan!! I’d rather be a hammer than a nail, yes I would if I could, I surely would. I’d rather feel the earth beneath my feet, Id be a forest than a tree, I’d rather be a streetcar than a street. Wait! Am I getting ANY of those lyrics right?? Away….I’d rather sail away, like a swan…. into the dawn, for a coffee!! It’s now 6:24 a.m . I know it’s coffee time!!

Glenn!!! That’s a fact, Jack, on God laughing at the plan. :) We’ll see how it goes. At this moment as I prepare to enter the ring with my blogging dukes up I am feeling cool, calm and collected. Kidding of course — blogging is fun. And will be fun to see how this little ’speriment of mine goes. Nope — Kelly was at school when I snapped that illustrious above shot. And yes, that BB, he is doing a marvelous job!! Thinking of finally upping him to that $2.15 a week!!

Ahhhh, Nadia, you are so sweet. And you can always count on me to read and comment on your posts too. You offer value over there, and that is MY newly-acclaimed mission here too. To offer something of value, whether showing how to stencil a doll bed and put a bottle of wine in it, bring a smile with a photo I like or cause some chuckles with something silly. As this blog has evolved, I asked myself “Does this post add value to someone’s life? Would this be a post I myself would enjoy reading?” Some moments I wonder if I can keep it up, but that is where faith kicks in, faith in my creativity and ability to share what I hope are uplifting things. And faith that the good stuff will continue to come from from a never-ending source! I am buying Versana green tea, with the individually-wrapped packets. I like it so far. Do you think it’s a good brand??

Cindy!! Have I mentioned I’m terribly shy at being photographed sometimes?? And of course, I’d be fine with you using a photo or two of me for your portfolio. I have this incredibly great long-slim skirt suit — midnight blue with detachable faux-fur cuffs and collar — very 40s. I could get my hair all curled up and be looking all semi Veronica Lake for the pictures!! :)

Jannie — I love the picture:~) Also, it’s nice to know the schedule, but since I always have so much fun when I visit your site, the day doesn’t seem to matter to me. However, if it makes you and blue bunny happy, I’m for it:~)

26 votes for a manual can opener?………well that is interesting. Jannie- I swear you sound more Southern than I do and I have been told I have a strong Southern accent. Sister I don’t believe you are Canadian. You can never make me believe it.

Oh, that Dr. degree? Well at the moment that is my dream. I say dream because I just don’t know if I have the smarts for all that (or the discipline). But that is very much in the back of my mind.

Hey, Sara! I think I actually will be posting more often than I have, since I seem to be averaging 2 posts a week now. I’m glad you have fun here, I always enjoy your visits, thanks. And I am hoping to give readers a little something to look forward to, to begin the weekend, and they start the work week.

Jingle! You always say the nicest words, thank you so much. You have a beautiful spirit that touches with happiness and light and it is my deep delight to have found you too. I especially loved what you said… “Simply enjoy what you have, the world will be better place.” In fact if you notice, I have put that up as my quote for the day! Lovely words, thanks.

Tess! I was thinking today how you are not only bold — but beautiful, inside and out. And I am grateful for your presence in my life and for all you share. I specifically remember your comment about me not closing comments on photo posts I was planning. I’m soo excited MWF, MWF!! I like those days for posting a lot! Love you too, Tess! A lot.

Tammy! Yais, ahh am frum the Sau-uth. Not! I bet your accent is as charming as all get-out! I have a friend who is so close to getting her PhD, but has been dragging her feet so she now has to pack a lot of work in to meet her deadline, it’s like anything, I guess, you have to be committed to it.

Kim! And there my iPhone photo was staring at your iPhone gravatar photo. I like my iPhone a SUPER lot. Got it about 6 weeks ago. LOVE it to bits!! Thanks for popping by — always great to see you.

Davina!! I am so sorry, I had missed responding to your comment up there. Please forgive? (I am inserting this n Friday, January 15th Texas Time. I shall endeavor to be more observant! Butt lifts?? haven’t done any in 3 days!! But your words inspire and remind me. I am due to bust it!!

Snaggle, I am laughing so hard that there is HNT!!! What a crazy, crazy world. As much as I joke about bra flinging and such I prefer my blogging fully clothed. My goodness, my goodness. What a world. And I know HNT is probably tame compared with what’s out there, but golly, not a cup of tea for moi.

Jingle! I thought what you said in your comment here yesterday was super-brill, and since I actually missed changing up the quote yesterday, yours will stay up until I post a new quote tomorrow. Cheers!!

Wow. You are REALLY getting organized! Yay, you! I was thinking of blogging less… I don’t know. The kiddos, the husband [traveling a bit more], the house, the dog… feeling conflicted and like my tangible life needs me this season. *sigh* An organized blogging season is in my future, though! Your schedule sounds great to me, although I find myself reading blogs in “batches”. Hope that’s okay with you. XO

Chris!! Yep, I am so kicking some organizational ASS!! whoo-hoo. You do have 3 kids, and I get 8 hours all to myself on Wednesdays and Fridays! (And 5 on the other 3 school days.) Chris any time, any way you are able to come over here, is always a reason for me to cheer! I hope I can keep up fine with my MWF schedule, trying it out, anyway.
