Anyhoo…
Thank you Shay Fireblossom for the Scary Clown Award! I apologize for the delay. (I was scared of the word scary, but I think I’m alright now.)
THE SCARY CLOWN AWARD!! “Given to blogs which display a great sense of humor, and just the right leaven of attitude.”
hoo-woo!!
hoo-woo!!
hoo-woo!!
Blue Bunnyyyyyy!!!!
hoooo…
sorree, my jannie. I iz carried away. i taeks my pills now.
Good idea, BB!
Continuing right along… as per the no-rule rules of this award, I’m passing The Scary Clown on to bloggers whose posts consistently chuck chuckles at the world, from light-hearted to downright hootfest-y moments.
And the awards go to…
1. The Zen Of Motherhood. Anyone who knows Mama Z, is well aware that she is, among other amazing things, one funny funny blogging entity. Move over Dooce — Mama Z is in the house.
2. Paradise Valley 2 Hell’s Mountain And Over The Edge! Talking here about Paige (Of A Book,) one of my all-time heroes, who is funny even when she probably doesn’t particularly feel like being so. She’s just that way!
3. Ma Vie Folle. Sheila, this wise-cracker never fails to amuse, and it comes real nattcheril-like to this dear kooky friend of mine, dubbed by her own town mayor as “Snarky.”
4. Interstitial Life. K has a way of writing things that never fail to amuse. It that on purpose, K, or just something you have no control over? (P.S. Her second child, Audrey Ann, is almost 5 weeks old!)
5. It’s All About Joy “Mean” Megan Joygirl Bond!!
(”Mean” because she often typos out the “g” in her first name.) I LOVE this super awesome fantastically authentic and funny woman!!
6. Deeper Issues. Dot has been through a lot of upheaval since I’ve “met” her but she still bats at life with her witty dukes up. She CRACKS me up consistently. And is one of the most honest bloggers I know.
7. Shades of Crimson. Davina! Not just beautiful creative writing in all her posts, but always with undercurrents of rib-tickling bedazzlement and hints of fairy mischief.
8. Mom’s Cookie Jar (Not in any way to be confused with my typo of Mom’s “Cokie” Jar.) Funny snippets, musings and observations on life and love with two little boys. It’s been such a joy getting to know Cookie.
9. Yaya Stuff. Funny. Sweet. Wacky. Dear. In every shade of orange imaginable! And friends, after multiple miscarriages, and the recent heartbreaking newborn adoption that fell through at the last minute, it sure looks like Yaya and her husband will be adopting 4-year Alex very soon!!! So please, please keep your fingers crossed and your hearts and prayers open for this sweet, funny lady.
10. Feel Free To Laugh. (And I always do!!) Lane Savant. Strange as all get out, but just my total cup of wacky tea!! And a talented music composer too.
11. Momisodes. Always some twist of ticklement in her wonderfully well-written wanderings and whimsy. Momisodes — who is expecting baby number two, very very soon!
12. Windows 2 The Soul. I’ve got Blue Bunny. Tammy’s got Psycho Bunny. (Psycho bunny — qu-est que c’est?) Off-the-wall and much loved is my sweet funny Tammy.
13. There is NO thirteen!!
14. Chronic Healing. Another blogger who gets to the heart and soul of my funny bone. She who found Blue Bunny’s brother!! And even when her chronic pain and health concerns get her down, dear Jeanne gets to bouncing right back and making my day, over and over again!
15. Happymaking!! This blog more than lives up to its name! Heather Kephart — a naturally nutty gal I’d like to have holding my hand and encouraging me onwards in any dark alley at night — not that I plan to be in a dark alley at night — but you just never know. Heather would be the one to keep my spirits up.
15. Passing Thru. Betsy Wuebker – blogging on travel, inspiration, house, home, cooking and you-name-it! Wonderful stuff, her writing woven with the kind of unpredictably fun Betsy Wordage that is very infectious indeed.
16. Dream A Happy Life. Jeanne’s a gal of frolicking escapades in more ways than one. And she’s going to arrive here in Austin this Thursday! And stay for 10 days. I love her attitude – “You bring the donuts, I’ll get the beer!” And always so fun to read her comments here.
17. A Little Bit About A Lot Of Things Natalia Burleson, more than a mix of moxie and mirth, more than a myth of magical mystery — this maven of merriment is real as rain. Whether she intends to amuse or not, I always find myself smiling at her posts.
18. CSquaredPlus3 A real treat of a blogger if ever there were one. Chris tackles any topic always from the lighter side, with beautiful writing and an honest pure heart. She’ll take you on a good-humored ride wherever she goes.
19. A Sharing Connection Sara Healey. Dancing atop life’s tables, this lady brings out the fun in all of us with her an ever-present eye twinkle and a giggling heart — just the right mix of sweet and off-beat to keep me coming back for more.
20. Rainy Day Adrenalynn. Who the heck IS this wild and wacky Norwegian woman who’s always clowning and laughing through the mundane and sharing in her most off-the-all way? I’m not exactly sure how I found her — but she’s more than a blast to read.
21. Life Laughs And Lemmings Sami. She dances, you know! With unabashed flashdance abandon on her blog. She kicks senseless random arse with grace and aplomb. She is a rich riot of guts and glory. She will make you laugh.
22. The Levity Project. Katie West. Last on this list but FAR far from least! Public car dancer extraordinaire. Wearer of umbrella hat. Initiator of a laughter project that is indeed sweeping this nation. Katie is sooooooo IT, people for all the fun you’ll ever want or need!!!
So there they are!!
hoo-woo!!
The Scary Clown Award. Recipients may choose to pass it along on their own blogs. Or they may not. But one thing is for sure — they will keep me smiling and lifted in spirits, and hopefully for many, many years to come.
(Stay tuned for the upcoming Kreativ Blogger Award.)
hoo-woo!!
And a bit unrelated, but a very important new feature here (as Blue Bunny and I do endeavor to address your every blogging concern) please feel free to avail yourself of the Jannie Funster Complaint Department. Your input is always more than welcome there!
hoo-woo!!
Oodles of toodles!
hoo-woo!!

Kudos to you, and three hips for Fireblossom who had the good sense to give you THE SCARY CLOWN award! Old pal,
Lane Savant will be tickled nine kinds of pink to realize
you have included him on your hand-picked secondary special Jannie list! I will buzz over to FFTL, and let him know of his accolade. Odd that most of my humor only seems to surface as I comment on your super hilarious postings. You have pulled off another sterling effort to
both engratiate yourself to the Funsters all, but to
include them in your ever growing cyber family. You do have a heart as big as Texas. Hey I am getting heavy into Austin poet Richard Lance Williams. Have you read him much; writes a column for the Austin Chronicle.

Nadia!! I know — who knew?? Then again, who knew about so many strange and wonderful things in this interesting world?? I agree on Megan and Sami, two special sweet funny gals. And Nadia, I will certainly try to uphold my end of the laugh deal!!
Glenn!! And you deserve a special award for funny commenting – maybe I’ll make an award just for you. Richard Lance Williams, no have not heard of him, but I do read the Austin Chronicle — what an awesome tip, thanks!
Heather!! My dark alley hand holding buddie! Ah, yes, my postcard to you, with a photo taken probably 25 years ago on it. Yep, that BB, he cracks me up to no end too. His pills have kicked in now and he’s resting peacefully as I tap this and sip my green tea. Oh, sorry, sold the wig and boots on eBay. My bad.
Lance!! You know I want to make up a special Wonderful Blogging Guy Award for you, right???!! And fun commenter. Yeah — a Funny Commenter Award, you’d tie with Glenn for that spot, FOR SURE!! As to AWESOME — right back at you to the 100th degree.
Mama Z!! Can I hear a million more woo-hoos??? And a truckload of doopity-doos??
Yaya!! I so hope I never have to hear another Dora episode in my life. It’s been 4 years since Kelly watched it, yet it still rings terror in my ears. Of course, I LOVE you !!! As does everybody else who crosses your bounciful Crunking path!!

Also, I love the idea of a Scary Clown Award:~)Congrats on the award and for passing it on to me.
Actually, it fits me as clowns always terrified me. My parents hated to take me to the circus because the minute the clowns came out, they had to leave in embarrassment with a screaming child in tow.
However, I must admit I did eventually mature and took my own kids to the circus…I just shut my eyes when the clowns arrived:~)
I also loved how you and blue bunny were having so much fun in this post. It made me smile:~)

Update… I added in Katie West as number 22 on this list, one not to be omitted, yet I did temporarily. Sorry. Great apologies to Marvelous Mirthful Katie.
Lynn!! Yep, made you look. Sorry. (Kind of.)
Sara!! Shay is just amazingly amazing, a true true talent. She makes me laugh and cry. And Sara, don’t tell anyone but clowns are kinda scary for me too. Sorry for your life-long trauma on those. You are welcome my dear, I love you blog!
Fireblossom!! Jasmeene the skwirrelle has a bit of a cold today, poor thing. She and BB are cuddled up on the futon together on the red velvet pillow watching Spongebob and sipping Throat Coat tea. Hey, and Bord On A Wire coming up in a week or two, I do believe, another group of those amassing.
Avani!! Yes, and poor Katie West, I had forgotten her, but she is now on the list too. She is so so part of the leavening definition. Always great to see you, Avani!! have a super-great day.
Paige!! BB cannot stop talking about the award. (Altho right now, as I mentioned to Fireblossom, he is cuddled up quietly with Jasmeene on the futon watching Spongebob.) But yes, beyond thrilled is he. Did you get it with your tweezers yet?? The award, I mean??
Davina! You cannot go wrong with Cookie’s cute posts. I have not been reading her blog for long, but I am so glad I found it. But of course, the link, my little laughing buttercup of glee. You are well among that number.
Vered!! I just could not put a funny blogger as 13!!!
Jingle!! And when I get to the shore, I’ll dance even more.
Then dance in my car to the songs of the stars.
Then wake with the clouds to fandango in the crowds.
Karyn!! My little buttercup Karyn of Karyn and Barkaly fame!! You have returned to Funster Town with your welcome words. So glad you enjoyed the recent kelly-isms! Whoo-hoo! hoo-woo!!
(Wait, I hope that html works as I have planned, to bring BB’s picture up here. We’ll see..)
Patricia!! Those links will keep you chuckling all the way to the laughter bank, and all the way back again. And they will find wisdom and very very excellent good caring things on your blog.
Cindy!! I know, I know. So many amazingly wonderful blogs and bloggers and only 24 hours in the day, of which 7 for me should be spent sleeping. I’m seriously thinking of elongating the day to at least 36 hours!! ya think?
Tammy!! What a wonderful comment! And no — I have actually not listed my whole blogroll. I think that list has 100 people and I’ve listed only 20 of you bloggers who consistently make my laugh with their natural effervecense (or however that is really spelled. In a way I hate these awards because I know I will have left someone out. Anyway, BB sends his love — and has his walkie-talkie while out peeing in the back yard so I can hear him if he gets in trouble with snakes or what-not.
Anne!! So you have more than one kid, how super. Kelly so wishes she had a sibling. Oh well, can’t have everything. I swear the bloggers I have cited will NOT let you or your funny bones down, they consistently make me smile, each in their own way. I agree — “Scary” Clown aptly named, eeeew.
Lane!! You were a shoe-in for this award, you nutty thing you. An honor? Well, I considered it a great honor to have been chosen by Fireblossom too. Kissed by the hand of humor, what a cross to bear.
Jeanne!! I know what you mean about busy days and not getting to blog as wished. Again, LOVE your poems, and the one you posted in the link, as I mentioned over there — the spacious / gracious and humor / rumor rhymes were freaking brill!!!!! Hyperlink worked perfectly — you’re GOOD! And your French was bang-on, you very multi-talented woman, you. You took French in high school, right?? Yeah, clowns are a bit scary looking. Not my cup of tea, really.
Cinderkeys!! you will have to forgive me but my brain is trying to make sense of which “poem” you are speaking of. When you come back and tell me I’ll be all like “Duuuuuu-uuh, Jannie!!!” But seriously, which poem? (Duh, Jannie.)
Snaggle!! You make me smile most broadly indeed. (And you are tied for tops on my Kreativ Blogger Award to be posted sometime in the next… um… month or so??) You are always cheery here, and a wonderful wonderful friend and I couldn’t imagine my blogging world without you.
Patricia Tweet, thanks!! xo
Natalia!! Yes for YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! I like your blog and attitude very much. Always an upbeat spin you weave into your posts. I hope you enjoy your Scary Clown for all your days to come.

Hilary!! This post did take a lot of energy out of me, and BB too. He’s still zoned out watching Sponge Bob, curled up with Jasmeene the skwrille on the futon, on the red velvet pillow yes. Now, Hilary… when you and Hardwick are announced at Kreativ Bloggers, I shall give you spot number 13?! And will you all be a hooting and hoo-wooing then!! And Hilary… “Isn’t it rich? Are we a pair?…” How’s that for my favorite clown song? You like that one too?
Suzie!! oh no, you sense foes here?
As per your precious typo. “foe” instead of for. I do recommend all these peeps for strange, yet wonderful mind wanderings. I’m sure you know a few already.
Sami!! Will you have it framed for your mom’s trophy wall of you?? Will you have it bronzed or gilded? Actually Sami — YOU so totally rock. And YOU so totally deserve a scary clown award. And hey, RAOKA Wednesday is fast approaching! I better get my gratitude photographed.

I hope the Scary Clown Award is not related to the movie “Killer Klowns From Outer Space.” Based on the picture I suspect it could be, although to its credit it doesn’t spell “clown” with a K. You know last night I thought about something. I wonder if word press found a word in that original comment that it did not like and blocked it. Sometimes sites do that. I was thinking maybe the it did not like the word Nazi. That is the only thing that I can pick out of there that would make it spit it out. It did not reject any of the other comments, just that one.
I am going to try to publish this with the word Nazi and see what happens. If it publishes then that was not the problem.

Momisides!! Now, what’s the title of this post? You made me scroll up and look. Oh yes! A bread-baking thing. You are welcome for the award — and so deservant, of course.
Tammy!! I had not heard about Word singling out words, but it makes sense. That your comments went into spam is just beyond me. maybe the first one Wordpress went glitchy upon , then when it saw dupe content it spammed you. I will never know and I do so humbly apologize and say I am just baffled too. I know it was more than frustrating for you — downright freaky. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again, and I will be sure to check my spam folder more often. And you are right about BB and “going potty”
xoxo

Hey Jannie no worries. No need to apologize at all. And I’ll tell ya, underneath the fire breathing I was doing I was laughing. It was funny……..even if it did make me boiling mad. I need to learn to pipe down anyway. I am going to shoot my blood pressure through the roof. Yesterday I was pounding the desk over the computer. Today I have pounded it over Statistics. I shudder to think what my neighbor is thinking when he hears all this hollering and loud growling going on over here.
He probably either thinks I am into some weird sex and have someone tied up and in pain, or that I am killing someone out of rage. I can be temperamental. Tisk tisk. I need to take yoga or something to learn self restraint.

Into the stew
did one fast twirl
and a couple of whirls
and ate LOBSTER!!
J.D.!! When I can take the pebbles from YOUR hand I will know about being generous. Did that make any sense?? I meant it as a Total Compliment to you!
Jeanne!! But of, course my little buttercup, you are an inspiration to ME and your fine light of fun shines through in every post. Are you here yet?? Yet? Now?
Tammy !! I totally cuss at computers on a very regular basis, and I am sure we are far from the only ones. Ahhh, you Stats course! I thought at first you meant you had or were installing Google Stats on your site. I like what I learn over at Liara’s blog to keep my hollering to less than it used to be… She is at… http://blog.dreambuilders.com.au/journal/ It’s an amazing world she sheds light onto.

LOL! Have you seen that commercial for Walmart with the clown dad who scares all the little kids at the birthday party? Pete and I LOVE that! And now to get a Scary Clown award? Wow! Too funny, Jannie! Thanks for the mention. Right now at 5:30 a.m. I look like a Scary Clown. Maybe I’ll go to the gym, which is usually deserted at this hour, and wait for a victim on the treadmill!

Hi Jannie! Fabulous! Awards are such fun – scary clowns tho? LOL! Kwazy. Kwazy. Kwazy! When I was younger I could have given you a run for your money in the kwazy department, haha! I am conserving my energy anymore – but I will always be cheering you on and laughing with you from my old rocking chair!
Total congrats!

Dot!! Wow, thanks for a shout out.
Betsy!! I have not seen that commercial, no. But I agree, as do most commenters that clowns are just plain scary. I bet you look lovely as you are. I worked out yesterday for 45 minutes, whoo-hoo!! And what’s that “Laying The Keel??” That sounds very interesting!! Thanks for the shout.
Suzen!! I think you’re still pretty buoyant, leavened and nutty! Your “old rocking chair?? Gimme a break, Girl ! You rock in the hippest of ways. I still laugh about your story of the old lady wheeling her Christmas tree out and back again.
Whoo-hoo!!
