Beauty Shop Cutie (Now With “Reveal” Edit!)

See any MS Paint tweaks I made to the first photo? 5 in all? (6 if you count the light switches as 1 thing.)
Feel free to divulge what you think they are. Or not — I am not here to be Miss Jannie Bossy Blogger!
What do you think, Snaggle, you Visual Design (and all-’round) Artist-Poet-Musician, you? My guess is you find them all quickly, with your discerning eye.
For anyone who doesn’t know multi-talented Snaggle, do yourself a favor and check out her photographs which always transport to magical places.
Talon is another amazing photographer and poet!
Anyway, speaking of being transported… back to the Beauty Shop Cutie (Cutie Shop Beauty?) photo tweaking.
And now that edit!!!! “The REVEAL” because I know I’ve worked you too hard over this…
Crazy, eh?
But you know what’s REALLY crazy, ladies and gents?!? My photos are now Ludicrous Wide!! Yes indeed, I upped ‘em another 30px wide!
Isane!
(Whoops, I mean “insane”)
Just how much wilder can this blog get!?!?!
Next I’ll probably be putting up a photo of Kelly looking all Jason Vorhees in a mask she made from a paper napkin at a rib joint a few weeks ago!
But that’s a bit much. Sorry.
Here, let me help you recover from that mask pic with something calmer…
Sleeping angel, age 4.
Ahhhhh. There we go. All better now.
Have YOU ever “painted” anything out of any photos? Do you think it’s “cheating?” I don’t! I think it’s “Enhancing Viewer Pleasure!”
And if you don’t know how to, and want to “Paint” - it’s easy!! I stumbled onto it a few months ago, and taught myself as I went. (Note: I am not sure if MS Paint works on Mac computers, not a computer expert. But I CAN do the highland fling!)
And below — voilà in reverse!! Mustard stained shirt, little dirt on wall. Bits of lunch around her mouth.
Told you it was getting absolutely nuts around here!!!

You’re right… it’s “isane!”
I am too tired to count the 5 now, I’m afraid.
That bag picture was a bit of a jolt. So, thank you for the calming picture for recovery purposes.
Excellent job removing the mustard stain and wall mark. You’re getting pretty fancy, Miss Jannie.
Jeanne
P.S. You couldn’t be bossy if you tried. You’re too nice.

P.S. Kelly REALLY looks like you in that top photo.

That mask photo cracked me up. Kelly is a true original! Has that same famous fabulosity of her mother.
I only counted four things, but that’s because the hour is late and my eyes are tired. I’ll let Snaggle snag them all cuz she’s good at that. You’ve got MS paint skill down, lady!
And thank you for the lovely compliment.

I only counted one thing, or maybe two, depending on what counts as one. I”m tired. Also lazy.

hmmm good thing I put up a new post…! thanks for the kudos. Now all I gotta do is find the fixes! (I didn’t claim to be a mind-reader)!
Two Broom handles brightly pointing to subject (is that 2?)
Ad greyed out on the upper left corner of cabinet
two light switches above the chrome handle on the upper right side
Kelly’s face appears a little darker also, defining the nose n cheek
I prob missed a couple specks of lint, but time is calling me again!
I only remove red-eyes. If I really change the pic, I call it an “image,” not a “photo” in hover notes. I left all the dirt on those recent kid pics, btw.
Anyone else see something besides scary monsters?

Maybe you count the flowerpot handle as another one-

Hey Nutsy Girl,
If we are talking nuts…make mine peanuts butter!! Yum!
I’ll share with Kelly….probably not in that mask, though (yikes!). Did that scare the rib people??
And that’s a mighty big dress that Kelly is wearing in those first two pictures. And that’s what is different, right! The first one is blue, and the second one is yellow. Am I the only one seeing that???

doo-doo-dee-doo.
Mama Z!! You must’ found ‘em all! (your gold star is in the mail.)
Jeanne!! Isane! Ah, golly-gee… (I put in the “Whoops” edit edit ’cause of your discerning eyes.) Yep, pretty-darn “fancy” over here in Funsterland now indeed!! Next I’m gonna have the place gold leafed, and put doilies in all my posts.
Oh, yes, she does look like me, scary sometimes, like looking in the mirror.
Sean!! Yo again!! Yep, Kelly was just fooling around at the restaurant. She’s a case, that one indeed. I never know what she will come out with next.
Talon!! Yes, indeed, she is a true original!! Cracks me up every day. Well, I think I’ve gotten fairly decent with painting things out, little esthetic things that make me happy. I’m also the kind of person who can’t stand a cupboard door left open in the kitchen, if you catch my drift.
Your photos are amazing!! They give such joy.
Cinderkeys!! I think I shall reveal them in a post soon, put little circles around them so you’ll know. ‘Cause I have, um, nothing else to do with my days.
Snag!! You did great! Ye, broom 1, broom 2, cabinet corner, light switches. Not sure if I did anything to the light on her, I don’t think so. But I did add in a bit of a leaf to the plant, where I’d messed up getting the red broom out, that was too too tricky. You are GOOD, tho!!! (As I know you would be.) Nothing like putting you on the spot eh!!
Lance!! All-natural peanut butter coming up. I made peanut butter cookies last night, it kinda was our dinner actually. Yep, you got the 6th and hidden clue!! Her long dress went from blue to yellow, but only on some computers, in some States, and for some people with hyper-conate corneas who have stared at the moon repeatedly in the past week.

Hi Caity!! You got here just after I edited in that amazingly artistic “reveal” photo. Yeah that leaf was super-tricky for sure! On the mustard stain, I think I could actually go a little deeper with it, but it works I guess! Paint is so fun for me!
Hi Vikum!! How great to see you again. I can tell that we are gonna be friends. Yes, NUTS here!!! Totally
Always an angel but always even more so when she’s asleep and Mom can spend time with Dad in quiet
You have fun too! whoo-hoo.
Hi! Sheila!! I probalby would’ve only seen 3 if it had been someone else’s project! The leaf was way way tricky!
Hi Lizzy!! Wow, I got lucky on your blog too! Always a real treat to meet more kindred blog-folk. You’ll love it here! (I hope!) Everyone is having fun and is so nice. Ahhh, thank you on your kind words, it really is one big party here with ongoing conversation! So glad YOU are here too!!

Hi Jannie .. love the composition background – did you write the symphony, or is a prelude, or concerto .. or ??
Re MS paint – well done on all the erases, mix and matches – great fun you must have had .. and I too one day will try that: looks good and useful. Certainly in England we don’t receive colour changes – it’s obviously a one way tube – ours is blue .. though I can believe staring at the moon would turn one dress pale creamy yellow – & I’m sure Lance was howling too!
Blue Bunny seems to have had it .. ah ah I see only a napp – so he’ll be back ..
Ithink I’d have had it if I’d seen Kelly in her mask – Hound of Baskervilles was definitely calling her .. so pleased BB managed to remind her the ribs were good and she’d want some more another day ..
Enjoy the week and laugh with the moon .. Hilary

Mia!! I hope you mean “a whole new perspective” in a good way?
hey, Sweet Alohamorakat!! Ahhh, what a lovely comment. Isn’t that mask picture scary indeed?! She’s a silly one, that Kelly. So you like the before and afters? Pretty easy to do, once you get the hang of it. Oh yes, and my music background! I retrieved it off my hard drive I thought I’d lost forever. I love how its the same color as the restvof mybblog, whoo- hoo! Just one of those little design thing that makes me a happy Jannie!! Thank you for visit and comment — I always LOVE seeing you here!
Evelyn!! So wonderful to see you again! I have been having fun tweaking little visual ” pollutions” out of photos of late, now that I’ve stumbled on how to do it. One day perhaps I shall purchase and dive into Photoshop, have some fun doing new things. Love to you too!
Snaggle!! Sorry, I wish I’d out the “reveal” in the original post. Living and learning, am I. You said you drew your unicorn with Paint, right?? To me that shows an amazing talent. Beyond amazing, really. I admire you artists so much.
Hey Lynn! She was just getting a trim, a little shorter all over. Last month. I used some effects on the pix on my CD with the program that came with. It was fun, but I’m really really enjoying making the tweaks with Paint.
Lance!! The moon was especially lovely Friday. Just a sliver, hanging low over the water tower on the library hill. It was cloudy last night, tho. No moon to see. Yet I have a feeling it was still up there, doing its moonly thing.
Hilary!! Kelly’s cape doesn’t turn from blue to yellow for you? !
probably something to do with the moon’s pull on the Atlantic mixed with the effect of the Northern Lights. I think. Maybe.
my lovely music background? Forget on which site I snagged that free background. I do love it, tho. Obviously. Yes, lots of satisfying fun getting all the little imperfections painted away. I’m far from any expert, but love knowing how to tweak a bit here and there Whoo-hoo. And I’m sure Blue Bunny chimes right in with a few resounding hoo-woos!!
And off into the day goes I to blonde up my hair roots!!

Anne!! I know, I know!! And it’s so EASY. Just pick up a bit of the color and paint it in. The blending is the only tricky part. Sexy arms, that would be something I have to really work on. I suggest 5lb weights! I can almost bet you that there is a free download of something like Paint you can get! I hope my images loaded easily enough on your screen??
Debbie!! Wasn’t she a little doll all in dreamland?? Well, now that I’ve got those ginormous shots, I figure I want them to be as pleasing as possible. (I’m a bit anal that way it seems.)
Jingle!! I’m at the library too. I hope yours is as lovely as here in beautiful Austin Texas!! I sure hope you will have a great rest of the day ans sleep like an angel yourself tonight, to awake dancing and smiling!!
Paige!! Just call me Paint Grasshopper. Yeah, you and Lynn both were expecting to see some fancy new do. Oh, I’d show you how to do the Paint, you’d pick to up so fast! Hugs to you to you sweet bundle of luuuv!

Okay, I had two of them (the mop/broom handles), and I looked toward the light switches, but I was eying the railing instead. So glad you revealed them, because otherwise I might have spent the entire day here trying to figure out which one of those kids was doing his own thing! (Shout-out to Sesame Street. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller…? )
You know, I dated a graphic artist once and I remember the day he picked up my “O” Magazine, on which Oprah looked so svelte and regal, and began pointing out all the areas in which she’d been airbrushed. (sigh) “You mean Oprah doesn’t look that good all the time?” No, sweet cheeks, she doesn’t. I was amazed when he began to show me the places she’d been nipped, tucked, and Photoshopped, and even where they’d made a few clumsy airbrushing mistakes. (He had a ridiculously keen eye for that sort of thing.)
Eh well… It’s a living for some, and just plain fun for others. I say, airbrush the hate away! And replace it with LOVE!

Hi guys! I feel a little bit bad about closing the comments on the Anniversary Post, but I promise I’ll be posting something in the next couple of days you will be able to comment on.
Closing comments occasionally will hopefully allow me to…
1. have more time to get around to read and comment on YOUR wonderful blogs and…
2. allow me more time to create the kinds of posts you will hopefully like a lot! Ones you can comment on, of course!
Anyhoo Sweeties…
Chris!! Hey, totally great to have you pop in, thanks so much for returning the favor of a blog visit — and comment! I look forward to getting to know you better. So… would you sing for bread and water?? I certainly would, both those two things are major blessings.
Megan! Ah, your eye moved towards the light switches, I’m giving you a double-gold star for effort and participation!! “One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just isn’t the same…”
Wow, your graphic artist man was guuuuuuud! Ridiculously keen, indeed. I think Oprah is quite pretty in general. Paint out the hate – and paint in the love. THAT so completely rocks!! And so do YOU as a general all-’round Human Being. I’m really really enjoying getting to know you better and all the time! You are a fun friend, with a great loving depth to you.
BK!! Ahhhh, thanks for such sweet words. Well, what can I say? You all inspire me to be myself and share what I like. And to highland fling on any post I wish.
Sara!! I think it will be fun to occasionally throw in one of those “What did I change on this photo?” posts, and I learned from this experiment that the reveal at the end of the post will be a nice touch. You are amazing to get all 5! Seriously. And thanks so much for the comment on our anniversary. I can’t believe it’s 18 years already! Holy cow. Now, I’ll copy and paste from the first part of this comment… “I feel a little bit bad about closing the comments on the Anniversary Post, but I promise I’ll be posting something in the next couple of days you will be able to comment on. Closing comments occasionally will hopefully allow me to… 1. have more time to get around to read and comment on YOUR wonderful blogs and…
2. allow me more time to create the kinds of posts you will hopefully like a lot! Ones you can comment on, of course! Thanks, Sweet Sara. (I have actually started a snailmail letter to you this morning, as thanks for that calendar you created and sent me! Yes, I totally have! On a notecard I bought in Ireland.)
J.D.!! You always make me smile with your fun sweet comments! How do you do it every time?? Bet it comes as natural to your first motorbike ride in spring!
Stay tuned for more viewer pleasure and wacky napkin masks!
