But hey!  Guess who decorates her igloo looks like this…..??

jannies_igloo

Yep, Big Kid Jannie!!

Took me over 40 hours to “win” coins and decorate my igloo like.  Ahh yes, summer 2009 — when I temporarily went insane and joined Kelly in the Club Penguin craze.

So friends, you can imagine that while our Real House kinda looks like this…

master_Bedroom_Morph-1

and this….

master_Bedroom_Morph-2

(the 2 above of the room that once looked like this like this …)

and…

our Final Living Room (up over our new garage) looks like this…

Final_Living_Feb_2010_a

this…

Final_Living_Feb_2010_b

and this…

New_living_3

and the view from our front door looks like this…

Temporary _Upheaval

… I’ve always got my igloo haven to run to for sanity!

Actually, I’m no longer a CP member — but I could renew any minute to find my igloo with every last palm-treed pixel in place!!  I could even pile 100 giant speakers to my little respite if I were so inclined.  Or 37 TVs!!! How’s that for some life control!!  And all for only $5.95 a month!! No contract required.

How would YOU (do you?) decorate YOUR igloo??  :)

Have you ever played computer games with your kid?

Oh, Kelly wants you to see her new igloo…

    Jannie,
    Castle-liscious!! That’s Kelly’s igloo!

And nice tropical setting for your igloo. Wow, in internet-land, igloos don’t melt in the heat – how cool! (cool!! gosh, I’m a funny guy today!!!)

Hey – those newspapers. You know the ones. On the beams. Are they hard to read way up there? And do you get a daily paper (so you have to change them daily)? Or is it a weekly paper (and you only change them weekly?).

My igloo would have a mailbox. And several slightly used pairs of mismatched socks…

Hi Jannie – I thought Pete was one for simultaneous projects, but I see Jim has him beat! It just never ends, does it? Already I’m starting on the list for thaw, which may need accelerant give we’ve got rellies coming over Easter. I think we all love these kinds of games because we can create and live in a different world for a bit!

My God, gosh, and goodness, with all that project clutter about, what part of the house can you live in?
Just the bedrooms upstairs, the kitchen, the johns?
Yeah, it is cool when you clamp the comments down. With
254,386 hits on this site, according to BB, you have to
be one of the busiests cyber sites going! And hey, you never want commenting and loving the Funsters to become like “work”, right? I still look the emotion within your wedding shot. It brought a tear to the fat man’s eye, and a sly smile thinking of all the bra flinging to come.
Penguin Igloo does not seem as much fun as Duke Nukem or World at War, but perhaps Kelly is not ready, or wasn’t, for the mayhem games. I guess only the Jimmie can climb up on those ladders to read the newspaper pages wrapped on all your beams, enit?

    Hoo-Hoo-Hoo!!

Lance!! They actually pump the cyber heat in for an extra 25 cents a month for your igloo. We use binoculars to read the beam papers, and yes Blue Bunny hops up and changes ‘em each morning!! What kind of mailbox would your igloo have, Lance? maybe an old car, and the horn would go Ahooga when you put the red flag up?? Or an all-natural peanut butter dispensing mailbox? Or one that squirts beer when you open the door?? :)

Betsy!! Hey — I’ve missed you!!! Yes, I think Jim has any guy I know beat in the project department. :) Thus I blog!!! Hmmn, could it end one day? Yes, and then we’ll move to Canada to begin it all again. BUT… we’ll build an apartment first as we live in the main house, then live in the apartment as we work on the main house! So, what projects are on your thaw list??

Hey, Glenn!! Well, actually we do still watch tv in that room ,yep indeed — no carpet but what the heck?? Dining room and kitchen done. One of 2.5 bathrooms done. And rooms for our beds! It works out okay, actually. Well, I know I closed comments on 2 posts this past week but usually I anticipate it will be once once a week, or so. It will work out FINE!!! I’ll still be able to give you a little something to look at here, as I am getting over to and enjoying all you guys blogs. And you are SO correct in that I don’t want this joyful hobby to become work. Binoculars to read the newspapers!! :) “Duke Nukem or World at War” I have not heard of. She is dabbling in a kids site these days called “Our World.” Gee, it’s a differetn world than we grew up in, for sure!

Caity!! I KNOW you have those games you and Josh love, Warcraft, is it? Yeah, Kelly’s igloo is really awesome and well thought out for her being just 8, I think! I like her fish tank and computer. Club Penguin appeals mostly to kids from 8 to 13, I believe (or one big 45-year-old Club Penguiner!) :)

Jeanne!! Consider the RV hookups now installed!!! We can actually interact with each other if you get to be a member!! Wait, or even if you’re not a member, with a basic igloo. We’d just have to know when we were both online, and pick the same server. :)

Jewel!! Yes, I just LOVE my igloo too!!!!!!!!! (As you can tell.) Boarders, of course!! Club Penguin members can visit each others’ igloos and stay as long as they want to. There are dance parties, and feast and all kinds of fun!! PINK?? You know it!! Tons and tons of pink stuff available for CP members — igloos themselves, furniture, clothing, etc, etc!! :) I never played Pac man or Mrs, but I know that them who loves it, loves it A LOT!!

Jingle!! Love your nice /ice rhyme!! Good one, Girl!! Sweet sentiment, thanks! And what? Another award? For me? You are just spoiling me all to pieces!!! Yeah, pretty wild on the house remodelling, eh!? And I will so enjoy posting pictures of it as it progresses! Don’t you just LOVE BLOGGING SO MUCH!!! Whoo-hoo!!

Suzen!! Thanks, I know you would love your tropical igloo as much as I do. Sometimes I just sit there watching my puffles frolic on my screen as I sip my margaritas and munch my chips and salsa. Oh, puffles are little fluffy pets you adopt in Club Penguin. I bet the reno at the lake house looks wonderful! have you been working at it long?

    toodles, Wonderful Peeps!!

I’ve never seen this game before, but will have to give a try. It looks like a lot of fun.

My igloo will have a comfortable reading chair near the fireplace, lots of indoor plants, a puffle or two to keep me company, my computer near a window so I can watch the penguins play and a refrigerator filled with chocolate, JC’s special soup, and apple juice, which I can warm up.

p.s. I liked Kelly’s igloo as I love castles. It looks like a hockey game is up on one of her big screen TVs???? I also love the idea of lounge chair as a computer chair:~)

My kiddos played lots of computer games because I could not play many games with them –math stuff — their games were more like monopoly and Go Fish and we bought software. I know they all play games on line now. And they all have DS players.
I love your igloo and multi projects oh I know them well, and yes they are frustrating We had a port a potty outside by the street for nearly a year!

Hubby’s lastest project is to take apart the raised garden beds and join a CSA…to encourage the local farmers and to save on water bills – take up less of the earth with more friendly environmental beauty. Of course, this will all be done around biking at least 100 miles one day of each weekend.

I am slowly but surely letting go and downsizing my life.
I would be ready for that condo or apt.

Houses- even at this level are not selling for what they are worth right now here….you may be happy to move back to Canada for the health care as you get older ?

Sara!! Jeanne is a woman of interesting words, as you are no doubt learning. Well, I guess I should’ve mentioned that Club Penguin really is more of a “land” a community of sorts, if you will, where you can “waddle around and meet friends” And it’s real cool ’cause it’s all animated. The puffles do funny stuff. But games are certainly part of it. Brilliant money-making idea. Chocolate, soup and apple juice! Add some coffee with cream to that and I think I’ve found my four food groups!!! :) I put the word castle in a song today, (which you may enjoy learning, as you’ve just professed your love for castles.) So far I have”As kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall, as ladies wait at castle walls…” Have you been to many castles? I bet you have. Yes, in deed a hockey game on her right tv, and a penguin snow tube race on her left screen. Yes, I love how she has her lounge chair for the computer. I could totally see one of those with a laptop. Coffee in the a. of m. and beer after 5:00 (But it’s always 5:00 somewhere, right!? :)

Vered!! I quit CP mostly because it totally cut into my blogging time! We only have one computer at our house since my laptop died, but hopefully that will be changing soon, a little notebook one for her.

Patricia!! Sounds like your girls were playing good educational computer. Yes, I bet most kids over 7 with computer access play online. And most probably do have DSs, Kelly got hers for her birthday when she turned 6. She likes it best when she can interface with her little friend who has one too, and if they both have the same game cartridge they can plan that together too. Gosh, I think a porta potty outside would be very very hard. Just off the top of my head I’m guessing a CSA is a Community Sunshine Association? Kind of communal gardens? Ahhh, the biking architect, and gardener! :) maybe awe will both get that downsizing we both wish for, sooner than later! I do like the Health Care in Canada, we’ve always found it very good. But hopefully in time the U.S. will come to some kind of a good plan that makes the most sense for the most people. With love as our leader, all things on all levels will get sorted out.

Hilary!! Really?! You love these pics!! Well, hot dang, it makes my day that I’ve got another satisfied blog customer in my midst! :) Kelly says “SURE!” she has plenty of room in her inn for you! Yes, it really actually was kind of fun playing CP. I actually first joined and surprised her, but she didn’t know it was me for a while until I let the jig be up. Yes, those could definitely look like Christmas cards hanging down there!! Oh, I totally forgot to ention I got your wonderful letter and postcards. THANK YOU!! I will be writing you back. Well, as to closing comments it does seem tofree me up to create new posts and to get around to all your blogs — and that is good enough for this little Jannie Muffin blogger!! BB does do shorthand yes, and he only spells about 90% of the words there, and when he comes back to decipher it , he is lost. So we downplay the shorthand with him. You are lucky NOT to play computer or video games, I think they are being overused. Well, small screens, in general, but that’s another post! :) Yes, no wonder Kelly’s room is really no further along!! :) :) :) I’m with you on kicking worry to the kerb!!

    Nope.

Don’t do computer games with the kids (both grown: wife and mother, and little: daughter).

My den (such as it is) is located some twenty feet from the household computer, and thus, whenever someone is frying out thier brain cells, I politely shut the door to muffle about 85% of the noise.

I used to play a couple of word oriented games, but since my hands have gotten worse, I’ve had to give them up. Good computer game + mouse – speed – manual dexterity = ridiculously low scores.

Hey Talon! Glad to hear you got your Stumble Upon link working. I will be back to check it out, you Extra-Super-Stumble-Worthy artiste you! Patient, me? Yeah, now that I blog! :) . And bask in the glory of my palms. Did you know I’m a palm reader?? Hee-hee!

Lynn!! Yes, I do believe our house will be quite spiffy when done — which WILL happen, eventually. And hopefully our palms won’t be set
ablaze with our torches! Maybe well opt for electric lantern. Or better yet, solar ones!

Momisodes!! You’re welcome at my igloo abode anytime!! I was looking at my igloo pic again and thinking the two chairs could be angled better, facing each other to form a nice conversation area would make more sens. Than how I have things now. Would be worth the $5.95 to fix it.

Rosebelle!! Hi and welcome! Great you could pop in and join the funversation. Little ones can wear a mom down with their pleas, you are obviously much stronger than I and I commend you! Even moreso as CP makes being a member oh-so very incredibly enticing! Way to go!!

Megan!! And some of us have a LOT of kid inside us! Please let’s all endeavor to keep it that way! Speaking of the kid in you, I’ve read that you’ve submitted your car dancing video!!! And Lance says it’s a hit– can’t wait to see it! Kelly and I got ours successfully sent too. What fun. Kelly did a webkins once, a code opens online access. Then she moved on to the same idea but with Little Petshop V.I.P.s. Boy, what a different world from when we were kids, eh? You too– have a hap-hap-happy weekend!!!

Hi Adrenalynn!! Yes, one giant pool, heated, with margarita bar, coffee bar, and personal chef on 24-7 to cook Anything you desire! Consider installed. Oh, and a fun teengirl who will entertain your kids, they will love her and vice versa, allowing you all the uninterupted lounge time your heart desires!
