Remember yesterday morning I took this picture of MY bench?
And remember I promised to go back that afternoon with my donut and decaf, after the sun had swung around for optimum light, to photograph the view from where I often rest my somewhat toned buttocks?
Well, here you go!
Blogging friends, wait until the leaves fill in! You’re gonna love that view even more!!
awesim, my jannie!! i luvs the bensh mutch too, as yoo kno, playing wit my skwirrle frends there. but back to you, my jannie.
Thanks, BB!
And thanks also to Wonderful Paige – a blogging poet and funny sweetheart – for suggesting I photograph the donut!
yes, page iz almost as mutch awesim as me!
You’re BOTH awesim, BB!
Okay… so it’s not exactly MY bench. But it sure feels like it.
But moving right along…
… go, my jannie, go! yoo so rokking todae.
Thanks again, BB!
Peeps, have you noticed my new “Spring Break Give-Away” button up yonder? This ‘un…
Yep, things will be especially wild here next week in Funsterland!

Could I sell all these personal treasures on eBay and put the proceeds towards my Dream Camera? You bet your rootin’ tootin’ blog buttons I could!
But I’m GIVING them all away.
Because giving is good.

What a delicious set of pics! And this brings to mind my challenge to Fireblossom and Lance to write a poem entitled THE CROSS OF BEER, and there are several other poets who are also Funsters, but I forget their names. Anyway, I accepted the challenge, and my effort is on my blog. Your iPhone pics show off Austin Through the Donut Hole, which itself could be another title for another poem, enit? The day looks winter Texas, cold, crisp, and clear. Hey, next week sounds fantastic as Spring Break starts for some. Actually spring breaks are all over the calendar, including this one, and several more to come.
Anyway, what a treat for we Funsters that would have come to worship at your tennis shoes anyway, Miss J.

Holy donut hole! Yummy, yummy my tummy is as empty as the middle of that donut. Beautiful view, no wonder your buttocks like it there.
That sure is a lots of stuffs to give out! I was wondering who was gonna keep our post offices open and now I know
BB you better be carrying that tazer we talked about, so you can keep yourself and our Funster safe. Which makes me think to ask- do you have one of those European shoulder bags, like the guy in the Flo insurance commercials?

Oh and I can truly see why you love that bench – beautiful indeed from many directions, but especially with a donut and coffee.
Did you know Andrew G Hayes the Edinburgh travel writing blogger is in Austin doing a study right now as I type he is posting words on twitter about his visions. I wonder if he will find your bench?
And you are so sweet…I hope the camera is in your very near future…
I think you take very good pictures right now..
hugs to you thank you for the link

Ahhhh, I just had a Real Coffee. In the late afternoon!!! The wildness of me!
Oh well, it is the last day of school for 10 whole days!! I love how Kelly’s school gets out a day earlier for most long holidays. Of course they go 3 or 4 days longer than the other schools at the end if the year. But that is not at all any price to pay for such awesomeness!!
Lance!! Always a joy to see your shining ones and zeroes here in our midst here. I have missed you. And I did read your latest post over at Megan’s. Beautiful! I still have to comment on that. What would I do if I knew this would be my last day? Very powerful a thought. Probagly take pictures of as many awesome scenes through donut holes as my family could stand!!!
Ahhh, Lynn, thank you. I’m feeling all especially warm and funny now!! Oh! You would not believe how much finageling it actually did take to get that donut steady. The stones under the cup are not even. But I perservered!! I had to do it in the name of this blog post! I did have it on its side for the first couple shots, but I’m glad I went the extra mile.
And Lynn, be brutally frank — what do you think of the yellow up top? I’m not sure if it’s good, or not. Of course, a lot of monitors show colors differently.
Vered!! I know how you love those glazed donuts. And latkes. And chocolate chip cookies!!
Glenn!! You poem made me laugh. And fry!
Actually, it was about 65 yesterday morning when I took the picture looking at the bench front-on. And later that afternoon was about 77 degrees when I want back with the donut!! Spring is out on a lot of trees. Yes, that is funny about Spring Breaks being all over the calendar! My sisters’s kids had theirs last week. Well, kid, as onloy Alyssa is in real school. Get up — get up!! Do not kneel at my shoes, man!!
Paige!! I actually did not get to the hotdog (my comment back to Talon yesterday,) before I ate that donut yesterday, rishking possible migraine! But all was well. I was eating cesar salad with chicken about 20 mins after I took these pix. I know!!!!! Possibly 20 separate packages to mail. But the CDs are light and will be cheap to mail. Plus, the books can go Media mail, cheap too. And I do have a bunch of stamps already. And the balance God will provide. As he always does! BB actually has a canvas backpack shaped like a moose for his stuff. And uses mace instead of tazer.
And of course, he is a yellow belt in Kung Fu!
William!! Yes, loads and loads of lovely sugar. I do admit that sometimes I will munch off only the sugary glaze of a donut and toss the rest. I suppose I should just diip a tablespoon right into the sugar jar. But I do love the glazed texture!!
Have you a sweet tooth, William?
Patricia!! It was a total silly whim how I took t pic through the hole. I was crouching down to get my shaadow out of the way. And the donut hole was there. And one thing led to another. And voila!! I think this could be the first of many donut hole photo posts. Well, as I was saying yesterday, lighting is all in pix. iPhone not bad. Ahhh, the camera? It will alight just when it is ready to. I will have to check out that blogger’s tweets! I wonder how long he is here for? Thanks for the tip. I can almost bet he will find MY
bench!! It has a gravitational pull of Super Awesomeness!!
Diane!! Yes! See my directly above response to Patricia how I stumbled upon the donut hole idea!! We should start a whole club of Through The Donut Hole Photos!!!
Come and let me know if you do a post like that! Okay???

Austin is beautiful! I want to visit there soon — it’s on my list. And that donut is beautiful, too! Yes, the bench is all right, but I’m much more into the view and food/drink items you’ve included. (smile) You know where my priorities are!
Marilyn Monroe postcards, eh? Wow, she’s was a beautiful woman, and one of a kind. I remember reading that she used to use free weights to keep her arms toned, and I thought, “My God, even Marilyn had to work at being beautiful!” It gave me hope as a young girl, and honestly, still does.
Have a lovely Friday, and perfectly peaceful weekend filled with all good things, people & experiences!

Your give away is AWEsome! I would love to have one of your CD’s – it would be a great way to “feel” your soul thru your music and that would be amazing – a whole new dimension of knowing you! There is a part of an artist that really shines in their art. I’m already in awe of your creativity and humor – this would, I’m sure, be the frosting on the donut!

Snaggle!! I was looking at that overhead arch-y thing the other day and notice the iron is really rusting. Or maybe it’s just painted that color, because they actually did that to this bridge… http://www.flaredev.com/jh/images/bridge.jpg …painted it that color. I hope I can keepup with YOU guys next week. Actually, I’m going into Deep Songwriter Mode next week, while Kelly spends a few days in gymnastics camp. Wish me luck! But I actually think I already have the luck part — wish me focus!
Minnie Runner. Thank you!
Sheila!! Well, thanks. We at Funsterment Global do aim to please.
Talon! I ate almost all the delicious pastry, all but the part where my fingers had touched it to set up the shot. I am germ paranoid. I really am.
Davina!! I had to get the bottom of the cup even first — that was a challenge, and add to that balancing the donut. Skill and luck combined.
Thomma Lyn!! You always make me smile too!
J.D.!! And it’s easy as pie to set up a shot like that!
Cinderkeys!! LOL!! I hadn’t thought of that.
Megan!! Austin is chock full of beautiful donut spots. And beautiful scenery spots! Are you planning a trip here?? I remember photos of Marilyn on a beach with her dumb bells. You will be vying for the 4 notecards, I take it??
I hope YOUR weekend is peaceful too and filled with great things! Kelly is off school now for 10 days!
Adrenalynn!! Come on over! Let’s switch! I’ll check out your island, and you can check out Austin. Texas, U.S.A. IT’s getting nice and warm here now.
Suzen!! The TOP of your list? I wonder where the top of my list would be in the U.S. to visit? Probably NYC for all that culture — the museums, restaurants and shows. A nice fancy hotel suite for a couple of weeks? I could relaly go for that. HUGS to you too!! You are so sweet to come over here for all my crazy posts lately. I’m still working my way through my list of sweet blog buddies to visit. It’s just heaven for me to read you guys’ wonderful posts!!
Dot!! I do tend to be rather silly on occasion, but please don’t tell anyone, they all think I’m a paragon of seriosity, and I hear I’m up for a Serious Blogger nomination this year. ! Thanks.

You may be conditioned to live part of your life through the hole other people put you into. You may also narrow your focus at differnet stages and only allow yourself to experience life through a limited perspective. It is always possible to branch out from the hole, to rediscover who you really are. To sense you are a divine and glorious being does not give you the experience such words point toward. As you choose to feel life as it is, you let beliefs go, release opinions of others and even your own. You allow yourself to be free, natural and savor the moment wherever you are. Your scope of awareness expands. You love all that is. You eel part of yourself in everything, always.

Id’ fore sure send you all donuts but they might be a tad stale by the time they reached you.
LL Cool Joe!! Well, the photo from the hole happened more or less by accident. But it did turn out fairly fun — yes!

I live in NH, most people know this is “the granite state”…what most people who haven’t been to NH don’t know, is that it is also the “donut state”…I dare anyone to drive 1 mile down the main roads (at least in southern NH) with out passing a Dunkin Donut shop…it’s unbelievable…when we moved here 11 years ago, we nearly went into sugar shock. Anyway…I still like donuts…and I LOVE your photo!

Dear Snaggle!! You know you’re gonna make me Google Damielson. Ahhhh, Peter Damielson, I see. Yes that beidge I linked you too was designed by college kids. The donut — just a regulation size from Starbucks, but the hole does look big. Focus, focus, focus…
Hilary! Those donuts actually come with those little bite-looking bits already out of them. I suppose the donut makers get hungry too! Will you stick with me as I post spring arriving in a flourish at MY bench?? Of course you will, you’re Hilary and a rabid Jannie fan. Well, probably not rabid-rabid, but you know what I mean!
Jannie!! So sorry for your technical woes. Please be extra careful with that touch-pad.
Laura!! Who knew that about your state!?!? I do love Dunkin Donuts, or at least I did when they offered whole wheat glazed donuts, I’d have those for breakfast. I guess we could call Texas the Dairy Queen state, there’s one on every block.
Hey Jean Purex. How’s it going? You selling lots of drinks? And wait until you see the spot all dressed in green — fascinating!
Hilary! Praise for the singing, praise for the morning, praise for them springing, fresh from the word. Add flowing piano here. Have a hap-hap-happy day!!

Hilary! Thankfully Kelly goes for the non-colored donuts. Yes, chemicals are not good on kids’ brains. Or anyone’s. I am trying to be more percise with my paptop’s keyboard, it’s 89% of a regular size one. Did I mention that?? How are the trees today? good for hanging with squirrels?? Enjoy that spring!
Chris!! That wooden gridwork thing-y is actually made of iron, and seems to be some medieval plant hanger of sorts?
And Chris — YOU are the sunshine of my bloggity life — that’s why I’ll always be around!
Teahouse!! It was fun, fun, fun!!!
Caity!! We aim to please exacting blog readers like you here in Fusterland!!
Shakira!!!! Beautiful comment!!! Thank you. I AM giving to give, and it will be so good for my soul — it already is!!!
Sire!! Donuts and toned buttocks were born on the same day. In fact, many here in Austin tone their buttocks with a pile of donuts perched atop!!
Oh — a statue!! THAT’S funny!!

First things first. I love your donut view of the city and you crack me up!
Great bench! Did Funster Management pay for that? Has it got a plaque bearing your name on it?
Also, I remember you raving about the Chris Edgar book and I would love that! So, please put me in for a chance at that.
Now, moving on to Amos-land…………….
TORI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm. What are my qualifications for applying to win the “A Tori Amos fingerstyle guitar book (comes with CD)”?
1) I have been a rabid Tori follower since 1992.
2) I’ve seen her perform live 4 times.
3) I have run out of Tori CDs to buy since I have every major release plus the boxed set already.
4) I also have DVD footage of Tori.
5) I am subscribed to every YouTube channel I can find related to Tori and Hubby already figured out how connect our TV to YouTube so I can watch Tori live anytime.
6) The lovely, the talented Jannie Funster generously gave me a copy of Tori Amos Anthology (sheet music).
7) K. got a guitar for Christmas from my parents. She starts music club at school this week where she will be learning – wait for it – guitar (among other things).
In essence, I thought I had run out of Tori things to get but you’ve found one I don’t have!
Tori!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and I am hard at work on Endometriosis Awareness Month and… wait for it… Tori Amos has endometriosis.
See? Isn’t it just destined? Fate? Meant to be?
You realize these are all rhetorical questions, right?
How about this? Can you think of ANYONE who reads your blog who is a bigger fan than me? Who met her in person, got her autograph, and has pictures of her posted on my blog from when we met backstage?
Woo hoo! Tori!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I were in court, “I’d say I rest my case”. Since I’m in Funsterland, I’ll just say:
“Sugar Lady, please consider me for the sweet Tori prize that K. can enjoy”…

Jeanne!!!! You cracked me up so much with that wonderful comment! And I know all of it is TRUE. Tori Amos is so lucky to have you in the universe, and I am so lucky to have YOU!!

As I write this comment it’s 11:10 a.m. on Friday March 19th. I’m pretty sure I’ll be picking YOU for the Tori Book!! I am still trying to get caught up with comments here, put together a Kreativ Blogger bobanza post for Monday or Tuesday, and stuff. After I try to answer some of the comments on this post, then turn my Internet OFF FOR A WHOLE TWO HOURS…. I’ll read back through all the comments for the give-aways and decide those.
Does any of that make sense?? I hope so!!!!!
