Twitter For Dummies

I still have zero clue most of the time
what I’m doing on Twitter, so please
forgive my unknowing ways and wish

me roses and rhubarb and to never
get my Internet service chopped off.

And please come over to our house, so
I can grill you a steak how you like it!

Unless you’re vegetarian or vegan, in
which case I’ll whip you up my famous

tofu-almond-squash surprise, served
with herbed-roasted red potatoes and
salad. And as much wine as you want!

Just don’t puke on the carpet. But even
if you do, I’ll still love you more than I
love two cold beers on a hot Texas night.

– end of poem

Now that I’ve got that out of my system…

Dudes!  Remember when I wanted a Chris Edgar “Inner Productivity” book, and for my friend to have one toe? Well, I did buy me one of Chris’ AMAZING books, and another for my friend who so far has blessedly kept all her toes.  And fingers! (She did lose her head once, tho. But haven’t we all?)

I’m offering a third copy of “Inner Productivity” on give-away here today. So, who wants it? And why? Persuade me in a comment below!

“Inner Productivity, A Mindful Path To Efficiency And Enjoyment In Your Work.”

Item number 2 on give-away today… “Twitter For Dummies.”  Who wants it today? And why?

Speaking of poetry, here is another item on offer today.  Who wants Billy Collins’ “Questions About Angels?” And why?

And don’t worry!  I still have 5 more Billy Collins from my personal book collection to offer this week  too — so, please don’t give up commenting to win them!   Many of your comments will touch me, but alas I can pick only one person per gift.

And the final item I’ll be giving a persuasive commenter today – my “I Need A Man” cd!

I still have 5 more of my cds to give away here this week, too –  THREE of them on Friday, so – please, please keep commenting  as to why you’d like to give my songs a home, and a cd may soon be yours!!  )

Okie-dokie.

Hope you guys will have a great day.  I know I will, deep in Songwriting Zone, weaving and breathing all those snippets of tunes into complete ones.

…So that I can awake and read my new book of poems by Billy Collins, of course…

And if poetry doesn’t work… would begging? That also happens down on your knees… just like prayer :-)

May the best commenter win! Come on folks… Hubba hubba!

I was just listening to Cat Stevens the other day. :) Now, when blue bunny changes thoughts that will make no sense. lol

Meditation is good for the soul and so much more, but I have a friend who could really use a dummy’s book on Twitter [no, it's not me]. hrmph ;)

Then there is a cd of Jannie singing which may very well be the centerpiece of any musical collection. And I know something about musically collecting with over 4,000 songs gracing my iPod and two musically gifted children. Decisions, decisions, and then how to persuade and convince.

But now time to get off my computer and into some pilates. Woo Hoo!

Congrats Fireblossom on scoring the first BILLY COLLINS book, And with (5) more of them to go this week, I sincerely hope to be considered for ONE of them, enit?
You have rattled my poetic curiousity about old Billy, the Poet Laureate of these US of A’s, so I began to go out there on line looking, and there is a ton of his poetry available. I have begun one of my Poet Salutes for him over on FEEL FREE TO READ, and I am enjoying getting to know him through his poems. If I were lucky enough to score ONE of the Jannie Billy Books, I too would read it in coffee shops, as the sun begins to
shine more here, take it to Liberty Park here in little old Sumner, and sit on a bench (nothing fancy like Jannie’s bench though) and read it in public, and offer
to recite some of the poems if anyone notices what the hell I’m doing, or ride a City Bus for the first time in 25 years and read it coming and going several places, and there is a bench at the Tacoma Mall outside the ice cream parlor where I could people watch and read it in between the interesting ones, and recruit my cat, Keezie Moto, to listen to me reciting some of his poetry, or just stick my thumb out and hitch hike a bit with his book tucked under my arm, reading it in the car, and then promote his work whenever asked about what or who I am reading, and put it for a time in the upstairs bathroom so that it can be throne reading for all guests, or bring it to the office and set it by my phone and just create curiousity about it and him and poetry, or just be so tickled that I too was a Billy Collins book winner that I will break out in a grateful rash
and have to be rubbed down with lotion while I am reading. And yes, I liked your Twitter poem too, even though I have never tweeted or twittered or textded.

You are so very generous with your giveaways, Jannie. :-)

I both find myself and lose myself in poetry and music, so I would be quite thrilled with either the Billy Collins book or your music CD. I’m sure either one would be inspiring and bring joy to me.

Well, I am probably disqualified as “ex officio” from participating in the contest — yes, it’s been a while since I took Latin. But wow, that is some effective advertising for the book! That reminds me, I know a few kids who have actually read and benefited from it. That surprised me because I thought of the book as too dense and weighty for kids, and that I might have to write a new title called, I don’t know, “Inner Productivity for the Elementary School Student’s Soul,” but it seems like it works for readers of all ages.
