The azaelas happier than ever.

And the cacti. Oh, the cacti.

And the koi — just a-jumpin’.  Well, not really. But they do get lots of exercise, so it seems.

Did I mention the roses this year are AMAZING??

Jannie — I absolutely love that you are sharing your pictures. These were lovely.

My favorite was the the third one. It looks like a professional photograph. You know the ones they take for kids who are graduating. I also really liked the ones with the reflections of Kelly in the water.

Thanks for sharing your Spring with me:~)

Dearest Jingly Jingle, well hi! Thanks for popping by with love and cheer today. I imagined you had visited the Gardens! They only get more beautiful with time and have recently been improved, the koi ponds all newly done. I never tire of that heavenly place. I was feeling a bit antsy before I went there with Kelly, and it calmed me beautifully! Thanks for all your sweetness.

Dearest Dr J, how loveoy to see you here again!! Ahhh, Florida, one beautiful whole state of gardens! I was last there in June ‘01. The west coast we found especially fetching — LOVED the Edison estate. Seriously?? Our sister soul city? Why did I not know that??

My Dearest Caity!! Ahhhh, thanks. Hope I’m not putting you all on rose overload lately. I was jsut now sitting, and thinking I may post something else in between the next Garden post, and this. Like… something a bit wacky. I’m sure I can come up with something. :)

Dearest Hilary, as I mentioned above, I was feeling a bit antsy that afternoon, and quickly swung into the gardens. I felt any negative vibes just float away as soon as I shut the car door. I’ve only been to England once, was hter in late April and May of ‘99 adn I still thik about your garden isle, how the homes are just overflowing with flowers. Yes, the lanes. All just gorgeous. Should I post Part 2 very next, or put a little “breather’” post in between?? :)

Dearest Daisy, I am very much enjoying my Sunday — yes. I am only 2 of my blogs posts “behind” now, in catching up with blog reading. Of course, I realize i’ll mostly likely always be a bit behind, but that’s okay — like stringing pearls on a necklace with no knot in the end. The forever flow of all :) And of course, you must spend some time with me in the gardens whenst you visit here!! :)

And Dearest Sara has slipped in there, just as I was typing the above comment. Hi sweet lady!! A smile always goes through my heart when you alight here. Yes, I like that 3rd one too. And the thing of this is, I really didn’t pose her at all for these. She was just wandering around (as kids will do,) and when she was in a neat spot, I’d sing out “Kelllllly… look at the camera!” And voila. :)

    Hi Jannie,

What a beautiful garden! We love such places and that is another reason why we are moving to a warmer climate (not sure which one yet but we know it will be warmer). Botanical gardens totally rock! :)

And every time I see your pictures, it makes me more convinced to get an iPhone when my contracts ends in a couple of months.

    Love and hugs to you!

Cool cacti — great word isn’t it? Cacti. Those spotaneaous photo shoots are great fun. Since I started blogging everytime I’m out I’m constantly noticing pictures I could be taking. I don’t bring my camera with me everywhere and there are times I wish I had it with me. Like yesterday :-) It was raining so the camera stayed home. There are lots of gardens to explore in Vancouver. Beautiful gardens in Stanley Park and Queen Elizabeth Park to name a couple.

Hi Jannie! Oh how lovely to have botanical gardens close by! The photos are simply gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them. We have a Riverwalk in town that is quite flowery and parklike. I love walking there – so does Mondo – and depending on the time of year, there is always something blooming! There are covered bridges, fountains etc. You are lucky to have yours all year long.

Ahhhh, so lovely to have you all popping by and making my days. THANK YOU!!

Hi, Sweet Nadia! Any chance you might move here to Austin? I bet you would love it. Clean, green and not a soul who’s mean. :) Now Nadia, as you already now the iPhone is very near and dear to my heart. It’s not for macro shots, but in good lighting it does a fab job, I think! Oh, and mine is the 3GS, but I think there is now a 4G coming out??

Wonderful William — hi!!! I am so glad you join us for every post here, it’s always a pleasure to have you pop in. And of course, I LOVE your blog and fun poems!! It is a most beautifu place, yes our botanical garden. In fact, if its’ not raining tomorrow, I think I’ll pop back in for a bit of respite. See things perhaps differently (and quieter,) than with a lively child along. :)

Karyn and Barks!! Hi you guys!! Heavenly have you two sweeties pop back in here. Cute poses, yes! Kelly does her thing and I say “Kelly! Kelly –look at the camera. And that’s it!” Barks, we’d have to smuggle you in, no dogs allowed.

Dear Davina, yes, cacti is a great word. Croci too, don’t you think? :) I’d get more of a sweeping view of teh cacti / succulents next time, as Kelly was quick on the move there. That is one great thing about the iPhone — it’s with me, so a camera is always at the ready for me these days. I am so lucky!! Oh, the iPhone must stay out of the water too! Wow, in 1986 I was in your gorgeous Stanley Park. And went to Vancouver Island to Victoria — MY GOD — it’s freaking gorgeous there. Yoy live in an amazing part of the world indeed.

Lynn, my dear lovely Lynn!! Something tells me your botanical gardens are nothing short of gorgeous and inspiring — like you and your blog. This lovely garden is right on the way home from her school to our house — and it’s even a right turn into the garden, so how can we not?? :)

You must forgove me for slipping away with 2 comments still to answer. Time for Kelly’s piano practice == and bath.

I shall return, o wonderful ones!

    Jannie,
I’d like to make the garden in our backyard a public place. Then maybe we could get someone here who knows what they are doing (and things might grow to be beautiful) (or…shoot…even just grow at all!!!). Our little village doesn’t have a public garden. We do have a gas station, a grocery store (with a floral dept), and a custard stand. The custard stand is my favorite! Of course, that’s veering wayyyy off base from what you asked. I could go into Milwaukee – they have a very wonderful public gardens. I don’t get there very often though. (maybe I need to venture out more!?!?!?) . Oh – and that Kelly of yours….what a photogenic child YOU have!! Takin’ after momma, I see!!!

Roses are red, Roses are pink,
Your public Garden is fantastic I think!

You are lucky to have that place to go to, n to have all the green there already! Too cold for most plants here still- but the sprouting continues-

No we don’t have one- but have different flowers like daffodils, tulips, n ornamental grasses planted on traffic islands n in the small greens- plus a plant container decoration contest all over town spnsored yearly by the Garden club. Right now the one outside the village Post Office makes a lovely garbage repository n ash tray…

Hi Jingle, hope you are well today? Thanks for considering me for the short stories. I have a lot going on this week in Real Life, so much to do — and am not sure if I can devote the time to this it might require. I appreciate you thinking of me, tho. :)

Hey, Lancinator — a custard stand sounds too good to be true! Do they make snow cones too? Do they stay open year ’round? Do they ever have live music? I could come up and strum a couple tunes for the patrons. My only stipulation is a market umbrella, a 9′ one for rain or shine. Hey, I Googled your Milwaukee Zoo and your Boerner Botanical Gardens — wow, quite a place there! I see the Herb Society is having a big do there on May 22nd, you going to that??

Hello Patricia! I Google your Yashiro Garden at 1010 Plum Street SE. Looks lovely. Oh, rain and cold — how I LOVE it so. Currently we are having a blessed cool front, only supposed to reach 70 today — heavenly!! Hope you are feeling well and happy today.

Talon, my lovely friend. Snow flurries can be so lovely. :) As I mentioned just above to Patricia, we are enjoying a lovely cool day today. I do love the sweater weather, would be great for me year ’round! I wonder where teh perfect climate would be, Pacific Northwest, I think.

Snaggle, howdy! You guys don’t need a public garden with all that ocean to enjoy ’round every turn. Roses are red, roses are pink, the best garden of all is the ocean, I think. Ciggy butts in flower pots, disgusting. Cigarettes should be forever banned.

Dear Jan — is that YOU? You have left your tree for a while? Of maybe have wireless at your tree?? :) Thaks so much for popping back ’round. Great to see you!!
