Just One Quick Picture. (Yeah, Right.) :)

Just one quick picture today while BB and I are “werking” on 34 posts, 3 of which are anywhere between 70%  to 90% finished for you.  :)

That was Kelly on her first day of Grade One, in August 2007.  First day at her current school.  Now she’s almost done Third Grade.  Wow.

And here she was this morning, 32 months later. (She had to scrunch up her back to sit like that.)

not_very_mad

I had a better camera then. And that bench did not exist.

She was not happy about sitting her butt on that chilly cubby today.  But she did it for me and I thank her. I owe her.

And I still owe her a response to the 3 amazing comments she left last night on my previous post — the Youtube of me singing my Wedgie Wedding Song .

These 3 comments…

three_comments

I realize I still have comments of yours to answer on that wedgie post, which I will — but probably not until later tonight.

A bath and the green-leafed rest of this gorgeous day await!

Kootchie-kootchie-koo.

I love you.

Jannie

I like the pink shoes, the pink bag and the pink shirt. My how she has grown. Her feet aren’t dangling in the second picture. Remember when your feet used to dangle? I kinda wish mine still could, but my legs are too long now.

It seems that Kelly’s ability to make funny faces improved as she got older. I mean, granted, she’s got some catching up to do before she equals her mother’s prowess at that, but she’s got a lot of time to learn.

Kelly 32 months ago without bangs looks like a different young lady; growing up to look more like her gorguous Mom, enit? Thanks, Snaggletooth, for the hint on the issues of E-Blogger. I just feel so dumb and old and ineffectual when it comes to problems solving in Cyberland. Still think I can salvage FFTR I, but we’ll see. I spent a lot of the weekend, and part of yesterday making formal complaints about the scam letter I received from BROCK MARKETING in Ontario, Canada. Even contacted the problem solvers on our local TV news, the KOMO staff on Ch. 4. Life can be stressful enough without someone ripping you off, mugging you, stealing your car. Too many bent individuals out there. That’s what is so wonderful about spending time in Funsterville–there is whimsy and imaginative twisting of the mundane. Jannie is our gal, and BB is our hare, and Kelly is our huckleberry.

    Zippity-doo-dah!!

Hi Davina!! She was very much a pink girl back then, yes. Now she’s into blue! And Davina, my legs still dangle sometimes. :) I’m only 5′3″, but maybe 5′2″ now? :) How tall are YOU?

Hi Sheila!! Ahhh, thanks. I was surprised to see just how much she had sprouted up. She is very petite for her age. But growing steadily! :)

Hi Talon!! Yes, if we’re still at that school in anotehr 32 months from now, I’ll snap her photo there again. Chances are we could well still be here in Austin, and she will be at that school until she is 11, or 12, depending on when she wants to transition to Middle School. Middle school – yikes! What will I do!! ?? :)

Hi sweet Lynn!! Isn’t she something!? The photos. The comments on my post! Sometimes I still can’t believe she exists! How have I possibly gotten so lucky!?

Hi Vered, ahhh thanks. I bet your 2 are growing like weeks too!

Hi Chris!! “Her mother’s prowess at funny faces?!” Are you referring to this post… :) :) http://www.janniefunster.com/2010/03/23/woman-thinks-shes-taking-stills-with-iphone-unaware-shes-actually-in-video-mode/ ??

Hi Snaggle!! Yes your original comment went into moderation mode, but I released it for you. And I actually reduced 69 drafts to those 34! :) Cra-zee… :) Oh yes, tons of tickles, mostly under the chin when I kootchie-kootchie-koo! And on the sides — are you ticklish there??

Hi Robin!! Ahhh, thanks. And thaks for letting me know about the missing r s! I hate when that happens, must’ve be commenting from my iPhone, with that teeny kepboard. I will for sure correct that!!

Hi Glenn!! Firstly, I am NOT gorgeous, not really at all, but I fake it a bit soemtimes with lighting and mirrors. But thanks! :) Yes, I love Kelly with the bangs, when she had them cut last summer she sais “Why didn’t I do this YEARS ago??” Oh cool, you read Snaggle’s comment. I hope you will not lose any more of your blog, you put so much into it. It’s got to be a temporary snag. And what did that company in Canada do to you?? It doesn’t sound very good. Sorry for whatever happened.

Hi Daisy!! My week? Well, going quite well, yes, thanks. After I post this Im going to check out what new wonderfulness The Pioneer Woman has posted, get a fun new font for my big Jannie Funster, something swirly I think, visit all your great blogs, eat a taco, get stacks of Kelly’s books organized for selling on eBay, get a new post ready for tomorrow, and sweep the floors. And you?

Hi Dot!! Thanks!! I’ve been checking the past week to see if you have a new post up, but haven’t checked so far today.

Hi Suzen!! 26 and 28, what lovely ages. I asked Kelly last week if when she grows up and moves out would she please call me ia week and she immediately enthused, “How ’bout twice a day!?” My girl!! :)

deer page in a book at blogginspots. yes, my jannie gived me papper, nice cotin stuff. it is yelo. and noo. and she evin sharing she good pen wit me, becuz my karrit runned out of inks. i writing things like rosies are redd, vilits are blue, and so iz me. i jist nevir seese to amaze me with my kreativ mind and sutch. :)

Everybody!! I had just gotten as far as answering Alice Audrey’s comment but the whole long comment up and flickered away, as they do sometimes. You know how that goes and you feel irritated? Well, I’m feeling like that now. So these may be a bit briefer than my scintillating originals. Sorry.

Miachel — thank you! She wants to be an actress, and I am helping her with that goal. Why not??

Hilary! Enjoy your green, sorry this is so brief, my long lovely comment just got eaten and I’m allowing that to irriate me. Plus it’s late.

William!! I am so glad to see you again! I had a longer comment to you but it went poof, darnit.

Jingle!! I am glad BB rescued your comment from the treasure box! I miss you too — see you tomorrow! Thanks for everything!!

Tess!! She drew her own avatar. Leafy green it will be. Sorry so short, my beautiful long comment to you just got eaten up. But I’ll survive if you will!! :)

LLCoolJoe!! She was not exactly chipper and happy in that second shot, no. :)

Katie!! I have missed you too. Great to see you — hope you are well. Hope the video eventually worked?

Alice Audrey!! What’s it like having a scale in your head?? :) :) :)

Caity!! Ahhhh, thanks!! You made me laugh!!

Mia!! Is that YOU?? Sorry I’m so rushed tonight. My other comment got munched. :( And it’s past my bedtime. But all is quite well really. :)
