Kelly Flips Out — Triple Time! (And She Does NOT Break Her Arm In This Video)
The Pea | Posted by Jannie on 4 May 2010 @ 1:33 PM 41 Comments
If you read my last post, you know that Kelly won’t be doing any of that bouncy stuff for many weeks to come because…
… she broke her arm. Again! (Broke it in a bouncy house, not during gymnastics.)
Oy yoy.
In Other Major Woes…
… I’m hungry, VERY behind reading blogs, something’s gone wacko with my Comment Luv, my Windows Movie Maker program won’t recognize any of my iPhone videos, even tho they seem perfectly legit with the .MOV extension. And another video-related glitch has besieged me.
But I’m sure I’ll get it all worked out!
And there’s peanut butter and bread in the cupboard, so off I go.
Oh, and I’m closing in on my “Let’s Drink Up The Stars” lyrics — one of the 2 new songs I’ll enter in Kerrville Newfolk in 2011. So, whoo-hoo on that, People!!! Whoo-hoo!!!!!!!!
Do you eat peanut butter?

Technology is not your friend this week, sounds like. But there is always peanut butter. I do like it, but stopped buying it because I couldn’t keep my finger out of it.
Do you like Nutella?

Hey Jannie,
Okay – that is just crazy!! I would be super-impressed with myself if I could do one of these! Shoot, I’d be impressed if I could do a cartwheel…
Kelly the amazing flipper!!
(and I hope she heals quickly from the broken arm – ouch!)
…as for the PB…well, I just had a couple of spoonfuls before I came here (I did!!).

{{{{soft hugs}}} to our little trooper and you know the ever Nanna that I am; I’m so worried about the strength (density) of her bones; well ya know why bones are special ta me and all.
Yea on the song! yum peanut butter-straight from the spoon; our new PC is windows 7, my laptop is Vista Beloved’s is XP and the issues are rampant as to what will work on which.
BB, I’m impressed, I used to be able to do a summersault but now I just use salt in the summer

Hey Sweet Lynn, it does look as if I have my tech challenges this week, but I’m sure I’ll breeze right through, and come out laughing in the other side. (Eventually.) Nutella? I am not sure I’ve ever had it. Is that fake pb? And hey — you still drinking you rland O Lakes fat free cream??
I keep forgetting to buy it.
Hey Wonderful Lance, now you doing one of those flips we would all LOVE to see! especially if you were in your pink dress, and tiara. And hey I know YOU like pb — I remember from your interview here!! All-natural, as I recall. She is feeling a LOT better yes, thanks. Went back to school today, even did a little writing with that hand.
Hey Sweet Vered, considering she only got one back handspring in February, I think she is, I she mean WAS doing great.
Oy. Hopefully she will pick it right back up again when she is able to go back.
Hey, Wonderful William!! So sorry I am behind (again) getting over to your blog. Just a week ago I was patting myself on the back for being completely caught up with blog reading — now look at me — 4 posts behind. Oh well… Yeah — she’s doing great with her tumbling. She picked it up fast!
Hey Sweet Paige!! Yes, I hear your wild whoo-hoos loud, clear and with happy ears clear over here!! Well, on the bones, people are saying a healed bone is actually stronger than one that was never broken — so maybe she’ll be all new parts one day. Just kidding! Just kidding!! May we have seen the last of her broken bones. But do you use salt in the winter too??
Oh yeah, yay on my song progress. I can’t wait to share it with you all! But you know what _- I’m nervous just at the thought of entering the contest. What the heck is wrong with me???
Hey, Sweet Talon!! Tech stuff — gotta have it, hate when it goes awry, which can be often. Yet, I have to think just how far I’ve come with it in just the past 2 years — whoo-hoo!! Excited about soon sharing it with you all!! I may record me on video and e-mail it to all who sign up for my occasional newsletter. Maybe. I’ll see what my mind comes up with. Betsy of Passing Thru reminded me of the guy who invented champagne saying he was drinking the stars, thus a great name for a title
Kelly is here at the library picking out books!
Hey Wonderful G!! Always awesome to see you here. Yes, you are a commenting FIEND lately!!
Hope you’re feeling well?! Kelly doesn’t like that sugar-added pb, but she does like jelly on hers. A boy in her class will die from contact with pb so none of that goes to school with her.
xoxoxoxoxo to ALL!!

Tisk! I wish I could do back flips like that. I couldn’t even do cartwheels when I was a kid. Not athletic in the least. Love peanut butter, but eat more of it in the winter on toast. Toast, peanut butter and coffee are a great combination.

Missy Kelly is like a slinky–you can bend it all katty-wompus, but it will spring back in no time. The pea is princess, karate kid, mini-blogger, arteest, and 97 other kinds of cuteness. The Funsters will be happy to hear that I cured my E-blogger woes with a 5 buck donation to Google, an annual fee for 20GB of extra room on my web album. My son-in-law solved my crisis in about 12 minutes.
But the technical side of life does bugger the day, does put kinks in our respective tails. Peanut butter is the sludge of the gods. Like Lance I gobble it by the spoonful. Who needs bread? I keep a jar of Jif near my desk at all times. About the only time I could do some kind of flip was while falling down stair a couple of times.

Hi Jannie .. what I like .. is what we adults don’t do .. get up and start all over again .. we would sit down .. have a cup of tea, cogitate, what went wrong and why, then get up and not improve probably! So good on her – I hope she can get back to this level quite quickly .. well I’ll give the coathanger another few weeks to recover?!
Hope all’s improving and you’re both alright – I guess I should include Jim in there too ..?!
Good on you for entering a singing contest, if it was me – they’d close it straight away & move the venue – so new song and lovely little songstress .. should be interesting and fun .. positive take .. & who knows … whoo hooo … next year too I see ..

Nutella is a hazelnut spread flavored with cocoa – so good! And not fattening at all.
No – no more fat free cream for me – I switched back to skim milk for my coffee when I tasted the ff cream one day and realized it tasted really sweet. The ingredients show that it has a large amount of corn syrup. No wonder I couldn’t get off those five pounds! (I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to ruin it for you.)

Daisy!! Isnt’ that cool, her doing those 3 in a row like that? I wish I could do those. I suppose it’s never too late to learn, but I think my gymnastics days are most likely behind me.
Nope, she’s not in pain at all. WOOT-WOOT!!
Davina!! Peanut butter on toast with coffee is a dream come true!! I like mine with jam or jelly usually. Mabey you and I could take gymnastics lessons for the mature set??
Snaggle!! I’m with ya on the lottery winning hopes. But I guess I’d have to buy tickets for that, and I don’t, so chances ar rather slim on that whole plan. avi file, eh? Hmn, I’ll look into that. I wanted to trim her video a bit. Oh well. All in due time!
Glenn!! Get out! Your $5 donation freed all that up!? I didn’t even notice one could donate to Google. I guess 20GB should keep ya hopping for a long long time! maybe afor a week or two.
SO AWESOME you got it sorted out. Nice son-in-law! Do you fall down stairs much?? Gee I sure hope not!.
Hilary!! We go in for a follow-up tomorrow for the “coat hanger.”
At 12:30, but were told we might have to wait 3 hours. Geez!! I asked could we not just come in at 3:30 and she said it would be even a longer wait tehn Lots of broken armed kids the weekend past I guess. yes, kids!! Young and ready for anything. Yeah, poor Jim — he’s the guy footing the midical bills. I think he needs the most TLC of all.
Whoo-hoo on Kerrville!!! Then SXSW!~ Then Leno. Then the Oscars — why not. Soemone has to!
How did you know BB dunks his karrit in the PB!?!? me — sausage for lunch up in the tree, it’s cooking now. And juice. Sausage and orange juice, perfect lunch!!
Lynn!! So THATS shy they are fat free, them Land O Lakes, they’re spiked with corn syrup. Naughty-naughty land-o-lakes.
I actually have been on regular cream for many months now. 5 lbs, eh? I bet you are as slim as a dandelion stalk. Nutella sounds like a dream come true!!
Jingle!! I appreciate your kindness and all too!!! Kelly is feeling much much better, yes thanks. Yesterday we went to see “How To Train Your Dragon, “3-D cute movie. I give a 7.5 on 10, and she a 7. See oyu soon!

Hi Jannie! Breaking your arm doing what she does so well is so sad (especially the 2nd time) but she is a champ for trying! Hope her zest for gymnastics isn’t hampered by this. My kids were both gymnasts – dislocated this and that, sprains, bruises etc. but nothing broken – still and all it took its toll on both of them. I’m sending healing vibes and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Hey, you bunch of raving cuties and beauties!!!
WHOO-HOO!!! Ahhh, always great to get one of those out.
Mia!! I don’t cook much either. So sad. I used to tho. Before blogging.
And I am a damn fine cook when I put my mind to it. And not a bad baker either.
Havne’t had a chance to work on my various cyber woes, but I aim to tomorrow. Today it’s off for a follow-up on Kelly’s arm — could be HOURS at the Dr’s office, as a ton of Austin kids broke various bones this past weekend.
J.D.!!! Ahhhh, yes — I myself built this cyber platform for sharing videos and such.
It is soooooo cool, tho — what amamazing medium to share and get feedback, this Internet thang. I JUST LOVE IT!! And all you guys!
Hey Sweet Alice Audrey!! Kelly was in gymnastics fom age 2 to 4, then switched to dance and other activities. But when she started back at gymnastics in autumn 2009 her muscles had remembered a lot of it! So she had a great base. And has a small strong stature, so I guess that helps. LOL on the pb “jumping” into your mouth!!
i find that happens to my mouth with pb cookies. What’s up with that??
Tony, Tony, Tony… I love saying that with Brooklyn accent…
Yeah, Kelly ought to take up sitting as an extra-curricular thing.
HA!! Not safe if she sits under an anvil.
You cartoon guy you! I guess any open window on any NY street, or any street anywhere would not be a good sitting place — anvils — and pianos do tend to fall from those windows.
SUZEN!!! Is that you?? Really wonderful you??? WHOO-HOO!!!!! I am always sooo happy to see you here. I think she’ll be good as new, upon healing. I know — she loves to be active and tumbling, jumping, running, etc. What’s a parent to do? She broke it this time on a bouncy house tho, not during gymnastics. I’m sure she’ll keep right on with gymnastics as soon as she’s able to, she does love it so. I’ll keep all you sweeties updated on all — you know I will. How long were your two in gymnastics? Did they compete, travel and all that stuff?

Hey, Sire — thansk as alwys for your blog visit! Well, she hopped right out of this kind of a bouncy house…
http://inflatablecombos.com/images/lgimages/2009/ModularCombo_lg.jpg
On the open end she apparently tried to see if she could bounce from one side to the other — which she succeeded in, but took one more ricochet out and onto the lawn.
7 more weeks, or so, before she is back in commission. Sucks. She’ll be fine, tho.
So it’s Mothers’ Day over there in Oz too tomorrow? I know in England it’s called Mothering Sunday, but a different date, I think.

Jeanne!! Yeah, and to think it was only this past February she first got one backspring. Yes, I think walk-over is the term — exactly. I never could do those. I have no gymnastics training, poor little country bumpkin Jannie with a dad who was always working, and a mom to this day never got her drivers license.
But I taught myself to do a front handspring — I can still do it. Kelly videotaped me one night, I’d like to post it, but need to trim it first, its’ a long and winding video of her following me all around the house. Did they teach gymastics in your elementary school?
