Just a favorite shot from a dress-up party she went to when she was four.
Birthday girl (in black and purple) was turning five.

Jannie
(Oh, if you’re new here, mine’s in the white lace gown. )
Hey, the tiaras remind me of Lance?!
Remember how he, the Grand Prize Winner of my tagline contest, looked about a year ago?!!
Good times, people, good times.
Like these times!
Like now.

Where did you dig that picture up from, anyway??? (I’m talking about the one of little Kelly!) What a cutie!!! (boy, now I wonder who I’m talking about!)
Psst…it’s Kelly…
I tried to have a party like that…and not one of the neighbor guys came dressed up! They don’t know what they’re missing…right!
Okay…and I really think I need some beer and donuts now! (yikes! sometimes I scare myself!!!)
Hey Jannie – have an amazing and awesome end of your week!!! You and Kelly and Jimmy!!!!

You really know how to chase the gloom away, Jannie. Love this picture! Lovely smiles and so brightly. Now who can say No to those beautiful princesses? They are glowing! It’ll be great to take another snapshot when they’re 17, exact same spot. Before/After snapshots, brilliant?

Hey, Sweet Daisy, I have quite a few pictures from that party. This is the “smilingist” one. It is sweet, isn’t it!?
Like you!!
Hey Lancie… hmn yes, where did I get that photo? Oh, just something that was kicking around the Net.
So… you threw a party and all the guys came but you were the only one in princess garb??
Happy Maine, Lance!! I know you’ll all have a blast up there, as you should! No beer and donuts until after the marathon!!!
Hey Sweet Patricia — you are so welcome! I’ve been sifting through my old photos and so happy to share my favorites with you. Whoo-hoo!!!
Hey, Sweet Luisa — well, maybe grand-daughters you might have to look forward to some day! Life and love have a way of coming full circle.
Hey Sweet Tess — and YOU are one of the funnest girls I know!!!! Megan Bord said you were an absolute hoot from first minute to last.
Hey Sweet Joy — I love your idea of photoshopping you gals into that photo! Maybe with Lance front and center in the blue sequins!
So good to see you sweetie.
Hey Sweet Ching Ya, you know what?? I say YOU are the ultimate gloom chaser on the Internet!! You are always so sweet and upbeat. Oh gee, I wonder if they will ever all get back together again? They were pre-school friends, and went on to different schools. But what a SUPER idea!!!!!
Hey William! Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed my little photo offering.
Hey Sweet Lynn, that little lace dress fit her like a glove. She really wanted one of the sparkly dressed, but was a good sport about it.
Hey Sweet Hilary — yoru comments always make me laugh. yes, BB also has recently planted some hops to make some beer for me. He is on this great economizing kick of late. He likes to buy local veggies too. And the staples in bulk. Happy days to you too, my dear!!

What a truly wonderful capture. It’s good to dig through old photos and remind ourselves of the experiences once exchanged. Very pretty ladies there.
Did you manage to dress up too for the party? Or as it an only little people dress up?
Hope you are having a super summer!

They’re all so cute. LMAO at Lance in the tiara. I read something about him dressing in women’s clothes on Twitter earlier and I wondered what it was all about.

Hey Sweet Ana, no we moms did not dress up. It was quite impressive, really, a lady who does this for a business brought all the gear to the party. having a great summer yes, and you?
Hey Fun Tony! Of course you need those boas — to go with your manly, um, er, well, as per last post… bra.
Hey Cath! Was that in a tweet yesterday about Lance, or before?
LLCoolJoe — I’ll remind you not to DJ for anyone under the age of 37!
Hey Rose — thanks. Mission accomplished on that smile!
Hey Linda — yes indeed. Great to see you again. See you soon.

What a fun idea. The girl in the red looks like she’s having the best time ever.
On 16 July 2010 at 4:52 pm Jannie said,
Hey, Alice Audrey! Yes, the girl in red was so sweet and happy in that shot. I wonder how she and her family are today? I haven’t seen them in a few years. I was lucky to catch Kelly not crying here, as she was a bit sad a while before I took this because the shiny dresses had been snapped up first. Oh well, that’s life!
She still shone!

Hey Alice Audrey! I also have video of the girlsdoing there little parade around the house, Kelly looked so sweet. I have a TON of video, like 60 hours before we switched from the digital tapes to a hard drive video last year. I guess there must be some kind of machine to convert them. All in due time…
Hey, Snaggle! It is unbelievable the types of parties available for kids. Pretty-much anything you can think of can be done, either at your house or at some kind of facility. Glass slippers, yeah! Can’t remember if they had the shoes available or not at that fest.
They did have wine for the moms!!
Hey Sheila, pretty cute, eh??
Wait — I just have to scroll up again, and peek at the pic again…. Yep — cute!
