What HTML Coding Has Taught Me Thus Far — a poem

What my success with HTML coding
has taught me thus far is I could probably
still be a brain surgeon or an astronaut
or an equestrienne or a master boat builder,
or a Michelangelo of childrens’ face painting.
HTML code — I am so whooping your butt!
(end of deep and enigmatic poem)
If you or someone you love is a poet, please feel free to hop on board Jingle’s Thursday Poetry Rally train. It’s a blast!
Yes, it’s still Wednesday here as I post this, but it’s Thursday in Australia.
And Australia rocks! Can’t wait for my maiden voyage there.
How ’bout you? Have any experience whooping the butt of HTML code?

P.S. Kelly’s face was painted by a gal who does that kind of stuff for a living.

Dearest Sheila — I don’t think I’ve EVER been first commenter over at your place. Yay — kick that code’s butt and keep on kicking it! It CAN be done, I’ve learned.
Dearest Jingle, Oooo — thanks. I like being linked in to the rally. 18 poets? Piece of cake! Can’t wait to get reading them!! Whoo-hooo.
Dearest Talon — HTML scared me too, well, some of it still does. But I looked at a book, and some of it started making sense. And of course, there was a do-or-ie day when my site was acting crazy and something I used to do in a flash from my WP dashboard was not working, so I had to get right on in there are whoop some code butt. And that was my turning point!
Dearest Alexandra, Good question about the air brushing. I’ll have to ask my girl on that, see if she remembers. As I said above to Talon, HTML does make sense when you get to read the language. Knowing how to post a link is very very good, indeed! Take that skill and run with it.
Dearest SuziCate, well, I would not say that I’ve mastered HTML yet, but I’ve certainly come a looooong way with it! LOL on me being brain surgeon material, in the funny way.
I think of all those I’d most like to be an equestrienne, tho I’m not such a horse fan. Not that I don’t like horses, I’m more of a cat and small dog person.
Dearest Tess — ahhhh, thanks. And you are MY hero in so many ways. Like boldness. And love. And such. Well, I still have lots more on HTML to learn but I can do quite a lot that I never could before. Kim Woodbridge has helpeds a lot, and I’ve kind of flown on my own too.
Dearest Alice Audrey — looking at all these kind comments I fear I’ve led you all astray that I am an HTML MASTER. Not the case, really. But I, like you, have learned a lot. And ready to learn more to keep improving my blog and adding in some tricks and treats. Ah, thanks — yes, she had just turned her head and I got that sweet shot, my sweet little angel.
Dearest Patricia, Woodland Park Zoo — I like the way that rolls off the mind’s tongue. Must Google, sounds good. Yes, you and IT Girl are lucky to have each other! And I’m lucky to have you as a buddy. (P.S. No sorting did I do today, but back at it tomorrow.)
Dearest Liara, speaking of Australia… here’s one of my favrite residents of that fair land — You! Well, for me I’m not sure if “love” to work with it is accurate.
But some do love it, and it’s very impressive indeed how they conceive of it and make it all work. Amazing, really!

HTML is way beyond most of us doddering bloggers.
We are lucking to remember how to turn our computers
on or off when they are asleep. I envy your courage in
tackling the technical side of blogging. You are certainly
correct in your self-assessment poetics. You could have
been a physicist, or lab geek, or engineer, or math teacher,
if you hadn’t met Big Jim, and birthed the most wonderful
bundle of pixiedom ever, and settled into a life of constant
construction turmoil and cyber flights of fancy.
I was in residence in Oz for 4 months in early 1977,
as an actor, and I loved it, and would have stayed, but
American actors can’t overstay their visitor’s visas.
Kelly’s pic reminds me of those shots of her on the
butterfly bench. I wonder how many of your many
Kellster images have the butterfly theme?
I agree with Jingle, lady–you move our hearts,
daily, weekly, and forever. You are like a organic
pace maker, zapping our own heart into spasms
of laughter, and tears of joy. I will buzz over, or
perhaps click, to Jingle’s and see what’s the dealio.

Hello Dearest Lane, all those ones and zeroes crying out for heroes like you. Does it really all rhyme? I’ve never taken the time. To ascertain, or to engage my brain.
Dearest Glenn, my courage started as anger towards teh code, then one day I HAD to make it work, or my site would not. Jim lived in Oz for 6 months — in 1969 (I was 5!) He was 27 then. Yeah, Jingle’s thing is pretty cool. I participate once every 4 – weeks.
Dearest Glenn (again) Bb has only recently taken up painting. He says to check back in a day or so to see what he is inspired to paint!
Dearest Ana, I bet you inspired and were inspiring in that landmatters project. Oh boy-howdy — does land matter or what?! The whole thing about this lovely planet, and such. SO good to see you again!

And so grrrrreat to see you again!!

Dearest Chris Edgar, BB is not a fan of shirts, but he does run around in his jean shorts with his various hats. And once he donned his vampire cape to jump off the back of the sofa.
