Doesn’t EVERYBODY Practice Guitar In Their Bikini?

I feel soooo good!

I have all 3 song charts printed out beautifully for the studio tonight, thanks to the library.

Thank You, Library!

Thank You, God.

And how are YOU, my wonderful blog reader?

Can you see the corners above and below are actually the same one?

Yep! Above was 1997.

Below was yesterday.  (by iPhone 3GS)

Jannies_chair_Aug_17_2010

Jim, Darling — if you are reading this, (you ARE reading this, arent you?!) Thank you for all the work you’ve done on this beautiful room.  And house.

You are an AMAZING, AMAZING person!  And dearer to me each day.

I know I have my less than stellar moments, but I’m still awfully glad you’re the one I’m with, and plan to be with ’til the end of time!!!

Okay, heard enough mushy stuff?

About this corner…

It’s in a room we added onto our house and recently remodeled into what will be the master bedroom.

Really liking the new stone tile.  Such a great color, only needs sweeping twice a year!  ;)

Poor old carpet had seen its day. We are totally not ”carpet people.”  Are you?

Hey, did you notice the sweet Sisterly Person outside the window in the 1997 corner picture? She was visiting from Canada that spring.

She was 19 then.  And I 33.

And guess what??

“Let’s Drink Up The Stars” is now offcially a love song, for my Jimmy!  The studio deadline really helped me get that tune in shape.  And thanks, Lane — no more “day dancing down to dark!” in the song. Great call!!

I look forward to singing you all a new song on video and posting it soon!  On my next great hair day.

Whoo-hoo!!

So, tonight, songs for my two favorite people — Jimmy and our child who goes sailing like a ship out on the sea.

Hey!  I have a 3rd photo of the room that could round this post out…

Summer_2009

That was last summer.

But wait, I may have a 4th photo up my sleeve. (And a fifth under the seat!)  :)

back_Kitchen_Addition_1995

Now, THAT’S a cool picture to have — 1995, Jim doing trim.  Baseboard, looks like.

And Dudes, I have about 700  more old photos to scan and post for you. So stay tuned!

With loving funsterment,

Jannie

These photos are awesome! Isn’t it cool to look back and see all the changes that have been made? Thanks for sharing this part of your life.

To answer the question you entitled this post with…Well, uh no. I’ve never practiced my guitar while in my bikini. I must admit that I don’t own a bikini, but wouldn’t that make for an interesting blog post (with photo of course) over at my place? LOL Hmmmm

Wooo Weeee! Look at that hot mama in the bikini strumming on her gee-tar!

My mom was forever drawing up plans to remodel this room and that.

I’ve only gone so far as to repaint some rooms. The kitchen is next, but it’s a bit intimidating with all those cabinets and appliances and stuff. But the colors are so pretty… and I really want my light yellow kitchen.

And how lucky you both are doing and taking care of each other like you do. :)

Nope, I don’t practice guitar in my bikini because A) I don’t know how to play a guitar, and B) I look sooo-ooo good in a bikini that even blind women weep. Hey, why are they weeping? :(

Now, is that a carpet I spy on Jim? I’m impressed. I can’t even grow that much hair on my face! Jealous. So jealous.

Nice call, Sheila; had to go back and scope that out,
and yes, the two head shots are soooo similar.
Love to see that Biker Galen, mr. G-man hisself
is just as much of a sentimentalist as Lance and
I, and even Lane on a good day. Hey, that would
make a good TV series; THE SENTIMENTALIST,
starring Michael C, Hall and Tina Fey.
Those Remodel ReDo shots you share really
are the hare’s whiskers, the hornet’s knees.
And of course, Jim the magnificent, back in ‘95
not only was doing trim, but was trim; love that
car salesman tan too. Ten cheers for Jim’s
hammer, and five bags of nails to jingle,
and a load of lumber just for fun!
Jannie, I swear, you minx you. You are about
the only person on the planet of the blond
female persuasion to play her guitar in a
bikini, be sexy as hell, and yet present it
as a wholesome enterprise. But being a
man, I live for those bare midriff and
bikini shots. They seem to improve my
metabolism. Hope old Lane reads his
shout out accolade from you. Surely
Shirley, he will. More congrats on finishing
the songs, and sing the dickens out of
them soon, and oh yeah, we all will be
champing at our restraints waiting to
    hear the funstering results.

No, I’m not a carpet person either. I’m a wooden floor person, for the purely utilitarian reason that it’s easier to clean up stuff that gets spilled on it. If there really were stain- or spill-proof carpets out there I would consider a conversion. As long as I didn’t have to take conversion classes — I’m not that committed to it.

Dearest Doraz — Really? I’m TOO cool? Well, I better back off on my coolness, wouldn’t want anybody to get chilly from my coolness. :) :)

Hey Dearest Keith — Lance has a bikini! Doesn’t he?? :) You sure made me smile with your comment. And I LOVE sharing the bofore and after pix, glad you enjoy them.

Dearest Anne, wasn’t I silly in that pic? I don’t even remember Jim taking that. I think a light yellow kitchen sounds very cheery, if not a daunting task moving all that stuff (just paint partway down the wall!) :)

Dearest Daisy — I hope I don’t sound sad in my other posts, do I? :) :) Yes, I was soooo happy, and we got some good work done on those 2 tunes! Yep — having a great week! And you??

Dearest Tony, Tony, Tony, ye made me laught and laugh and laugh with that comment. Making women weep. Yes, Jim is a hirsute individual, ain’t he? And pretty cute to all who know and love him, which are many.

Dearest Jingle, Bare Fair day! You are ever the poet. And yes, I will go visit three peeps on that link. But I find it too hard to keep up with awards, so forgive me if I bow out of those. But I love YOU!

Dearest Davina. I’m not sure if you meant what I’d be wearing in the studio or for my video good-hair day. Well, last night I wore jeans and a pink draped top. And for the video I’ll most likely wear my blue chiffon. Fully clothed! :)

Ahh, thanks sweet Talon. It was neat in the studio last night. George had great ideas to change up the form of the Drink Stars tune. And it got real jazzy! I likes me some jazz.

Dearest Burly Biker Dude, G-man of Michigan Highway Harley fame, ahhhh, that is very very nice of you to say. Jim and I both thank you. We certainly have our days, but overall very lucky, yes. And YOU — big biker guy, are an Excellent Human too. Looking forward to putting up a 55 next week!

Dearest Ellis, 13 years indeed. Many saw blades gone through, cans of paint, and buckets and buckets of saw and drywall dust. Shoulda set up a 13 year time-lapse camera. :)

Dearest Snaggle, yes, that corner’s come a long way, Baby! And funny thing is I never had gotten around to making a big foam cushion for the window seat as I’d envisioned. Just as well – nice closet there now. I am weirdly a non-sweaty person so bare skin on guitar not much of an issue for me. It WAS fun last night. And before we go in next time we’ll actually rehearse! :)

Dearest Secret Agent Woman, in the back of my mind is an idea to start a separate page on this blog for house before and afters. Possibly. Maybe. Or maybe I’ll just go and make soem donuts instead. :)

Dearest Lynn, thanks! I laughed when I found that old photo of me and guitar. So silly, I am. So very very silly sometimes.

Dearest Ryan!!! Hey — it was fun last night and you SO ROCKED those tracks. Drink Up The Stars is totally Stellar — which is good for a star song, and all! Looking forward to more great tune time.

Dearest Sheila, that ’s true — carpet is nice on the toesies in cooler temperatures. We like to eat in almost ever room in the house. And the pet puke and such was not kind. Yes, I actually did notice my matching picture poses! Looks pretty narcissictic, eh??! :)

Dearest Dr. J. Always great to see you, Sir! As I mentioned to Snaggle above, I am a non-sweaty type (which means I’m supposed to live not as long as my non-sweaty counterparts) so I don’t get that sticky feeling. :)

Dearest William, naked banjo playing, eh? Do you know some of them types?? I suppose at a nudist colony one would see plenty of that.

Dearest Lance of the golden tiaras, and I’m sure a nice bikini too. That was actually a coffee from the grocery store. H.E.B. Nice coffee, organic decaf. I picked it up after I dropped Kelly for her gymnastics camp in the morning. And it was soooo tasty!! Yes, coffee helps in almost everything music, and life wise!!

Dearest Glenn, the sentimentalist — he always gets his girl. Or guy, as the case may be. Jimmy has nails that jingle jangle jingle indeed! :) Oh yes, very very wholesome here always. :) BB is so glad to remake your aquaintance too! :)

Dearest Ellis — let me guess, you’re a Speedo guy! :) :) But are you a carpet guy?? That was a question too. :)

Dearst Vered — wasn’t I cheeky in that? And so silly! :)

Dearest Mama Z! And guess what it’s called “oaklie” so I guess it comes from your neck of the woods.

Dearest Weyrdie — cool! I’ll be here then. Coffee or beer, eh? Hey, it will be very very hard leaving Austin for Canada. I’d just as soon sell the house up there now. But we’ll see how it all plays out!

Dearest Chris — yes!!! Hardwood tile cleams up so easily. I’d just as soon never have carpet again. Maybe throw rugs. Stain master and such, never had that kind of carpet. Had a stain resistant sofa once — it felt like sitting on a teflon pan! ;0

Thanks, sweetie, your support and enthusiam are ever appreciated. Yes, Davina is funny. And deep too. I am so lucky to know you both!! Well, not only know you — but call you both friend.

Dearest Hilary, you made me look up plectrum. Hey — I’d forgotten that term, more widely called a “pick” these days! Nope, I am a fingerstyle-ian. Oh, poor BB he’s been chasing that stallion all over the prairie these past 2 days. But Linda is helping him today (she came up from San Antonio stowed away on a turnip truck.)
