Outside An Ice Skating Rink Yesterday

What a blessing I forgot Kung Fu was canceled yesterday!

That gave us an hour to kill before a birthday party, during which I was treated to a most enchanting concert…

[As I mentioned to Daisy, the volume seems better via headphones, hope you all can hear her fine!]

Hi Jannie .. great – what a fun way to fill an hour .. before a delicious fun birthday party .. presumably for Kelly?! She does look like you – I guess that’s a good thing .. and singing away too .. a natural on the way .. does she play the guitar yet?

I see BB is at home making something for you and Jim .. Kelly will be too full of jelly .. it looks cold – is it? BB’s brand new recipe – I bet is full of carrotties .. with some greens mixed in .. perhaps a new risotto? Enjoy his food – please .. we don’t want to upset him ..

Happy times and hope the birthday party was fun for the young ‘un … here’s to a well deserved glass of vino up a tree after this expedition .. cheers Hilary

    Hi Sweeties!

Dearest Daisy, I hope you could hear it well enough. Funny, but via headphones I can hear her loud and clear, but via my laptop speakers not so well. She does love to sing and make up songs.

Dearest Hilary, BB’s got something in in the oven — and it smells great! Some kind of dessert I think. Nope, Kelly’s party is on the 12th. It was actually very hot yesterday, but in anticipation of the ice skating party she had on her sweater. We had a great skate, she only coming off the ice in 3 hours for pizza and cake. Yes, she started guitar a little over 2 years ago and she likes it a lot!

    Smoochies to you cuties.

This is SO adorable, Jannie. I like the tone of her voice and I’m no expert, but I think, considering that she is so young, there is potential. A lot of young children have very high-pitched voices. Her’s has a soothing quality about it that I like.

    2. Answer these lovely comments.
    3. Put up some new pix of “my” :) bench.
    4. Today, read blogs from 3:30 to 5:35.
    5. Have bath, maybe even go crazy and wash my hair.

    Okay, 5 things!

    What time is it?

And I just planned a song-work-funtime session with Ryan for this Friday! Whoo-hoo!!

What a chip off the old block! Where on earth did that saying come from? Don’t you wonder how these sayings stick with you from childhood. I have this long list of ones I inherited from my mom:~)

I loved the concert, even without headphones. I loved how she twirled her hair in the second video and then the endings in both were wonderful. Kelly definitely knows how to end on a strong note:~)

BTW Kelly has the most beautiful eyes. I assume she wants to be a songster, like her mom?

    Thanks for sharing this:~)

BTW2 – One of your commenters gave you a great typo example…or is it bad to tell on another blogger? Uh Oh, I’m a tattle tale:~) The typo is kind of cute, however.

Wow, she is totally the next Faith Hill! Okay, I’m just guessing this is a “country crossover” style of song, but I am not a connoisseur of the genre. For all I know, it may be “acid jazz dub” or some other newfangled thing the kids are into these days.

Hi, Dearest Sheila — Funny, but my laptop speakers seem about 10% of the headphones volume.

Hi, Dearest SuZen! So glad you enjoyed her sweetness!

Hi, Dearest William — thanks, so glad you liked!

Hi, Dearest Lynn, and I like your smile — even tho I’ve never actually seen it, but I’m sure it’s lovely, like the rest of you.

Hi, Dearest Secret Agent Woman, you must have a better laptop than this $200 one of mine! “Sweetly Serious” is a nice way to put it. And seriously sweet? :)

Hi, Dearest Nessa, always lovely to see you. And I’ve made you a nice sidebar button, which will post before the weekend!

Hi, Dearest Lance, yes, I love that part too!! She cracks me UP.

Hi, Dearest Tony… Johnny’s on the pavement thinking ’bout the government, I’m in the basement, mixing up the medicine. Did I get it right? :) Been a long while since I listened. I’m totally a Blood On The Tracks girl myself.

Hi, Dearest Vered — awesome!! her singing has come a long way, mostly by listening to those singers. The ears have it.

Hi, Dearest Davina — yes, a lovely tone. And I think anyone with ears to hear, good ears like yours IS an expert!!

Hi, Dearest Galen — my Mini Me!! :)

Hi, Dearest J.D. It was a most serindipitous time in the car!

Hi, Dearest Talon, I haven’t been able to stop watching her in these, so sweet yes.

Hi, Dearest Ellis — well, we have no choice — it’s in our bones and blood. :)

Hi, Dearest Sweet Tess — forgive me for being sparse on your blog. On most blogs. The new school year is throwing me for a blogging loop. Donuts?! Did your granddaughter watch??

Hi, Dearest Nadia — yes, with cell phone cameras we can capture video anywhere, anytime. What an incredible difference from when we were kids, eh?? The Judds, eh? Well, maybe something like that someday. :)

Hi, Dearest Jingle. How awesome you are still going strong in Poet’s Rally. Many many wonderful friends came to me via you. Thank you so so much.

Hi, Dearest Mama Zen, yes, she does love to sing. And make up songs. Maybe she and Baby Puppy will be in a band some day!!!

Hi, Dearest wonderful Sara, well I guess that was a lumberjack term? ;) Do you know where the Cold Shoulder saying comes from?? yes, her eyes indeed are fabulous. Her dad’s eyes. Yes, the hair twirling!! I loved that too. And your comment. And you. And please TELL me the typo — yes, please!! Oh, she wants to be an actress.

Dearest Chris, ahh, Faith Hill. She’s great!! The first tune is by Taylor Swift, kinda country and the second pop — Selena Gomez, both just teens.

Dearest Luisa — hi! So great to see you, as always. AGT, yep! hmmn.

Hey, sweet Jingle — poetry positions available?? Sounds interesting. I will click the link and see what is up. September is SUCH a busy month for me. Plus I added in some music things — guitar lesson yesterday, piano session with Ryan today. I think I will actually postpone my next studio session and guitar lesson to try to catch up with what I’m trying to do.
