Over Three Years Now

Over three years now since we all met.

My Uber Blessing Buddy, Kalyani — Fuzzy Pants Lady a.k.a. My Backup Singer (and Wonderful Songwriter,) is the other little girl’s mother.

I’m sure I’ve got good pix of the girls at age 8 somewhere too. But 3 will have to do for today!

“Age 9″ was taken yesterday after a sleep-over here, doing a little landscaping out front.

“Age 7″ was taken at our very very wonderful Barton Springs.

“Age 6″ was taken only a couple months after we all met, after the girls’ first sleep-over.

I like that they are both wearing t-shirts of mine in the Age 6 one.

And how are YOU??

I hope you are having a GREAT day!? (Or evening, as the case may be?)

Poetry book winners announced here as soon as I can.  I promise. I was going to run up my tree and do that earlier, but got side-tracked by this post — glad I did, tho. This post makes me smile.

In other news…

I am a bit behind with blog reading and with comment answering, sorry.  Happens a lot to me!

:)

And BB needs whipped cream, candles, dishes and serving spoons for his feast!!

But it’s all good.

Got some beautiful magical song creating done Friday night in the studio.  I love working with George Coyne!

Planning to get away for a mini-vacation tomorrow and Wednesday.

Then coming back to make and enjoy our Thanksgiving Meal.

But directly after I post this, I shall grab a bath, my lucky blue hat, my guitar and zip to the library to work on song charts.

Hope you are having an awesome moment!!!

:)

Take care!

Love, Jannie
xoxo

Hi Vered! They have had some happy moments, when not fighting. :)

Hi Jennifer Susannah Devore! You’ll never let me live that meeting down, will ya? :) And the squirrels here are so active and feisty lately!

Hi Alessandra! Good buddies make the world go around, I do believe.

Hi Secret Agent Woman! Makes me never want to leave Austin, having friends here like that.

Hi Linda! Sorry to hear you were under the weather. All better now? And comforting to hear I’m not the only one who feels she falls behind with blogging. Like housework — ongoing. :)

Hi Lynn! Yes, such cuties indeed. Hopefully there will be lots more pix to share as they mature, those two who will no doubt break a few hearts along the way. :)

Hey, Dear Katherine! I will do another post one day, as just until the past little while they have fought more than got along. :) Seriously! Kalyani and I are so glad they’ve seemed to work things out. Heavenly now.

Hi Hilary! Songs getting in the bag yes, but luckily not me. :) Appreciate all those hugs — SO much. BB out washing the car today. Thanks!

Hi Lance! Is that chocolate-covered cheese? Or cheese-covered chocolate? Thanks, YOU are awesome too. And very very COMPLETELY so SHINING!! :)

Hi Jeannne! As I’ve mentioned above, those were some sweet moments at ages 6 & 7 interspersed with a lot of fighting between them. So glad they’ve managed to mature and work things out better. Kalyani and I get along so great, it’s more than nice to see the girls finally doing so too!! :) Seriously! Yes, I wore that musical tee I got at Target so much! So sad it wore out. :(

When I was a kid there were three of us that were great friends.

Will that was until a truck run over Phil one day when we were out in the street playing like my mother told me to. Something like (“I got a dam migraine and I wish you kids would go out and play in the street.”)

Anyway, he was killed so I pushed my other friend out in front of a car so Phil would have someone to play with in Heaven. After lots of beatings and 10 years in reform school, I found out that Phil was really my brother, mother had sold him one night when she’d been out on a drinking binge and needed more money to buy another bottle.

Will it’s nice to see your daughter has a friend too.

Dearest Ellis, that is a sad sad story to hear, but sad too to tell. And in the telling to good friends shall we find peace within, whether we create fictions or share things we’ve been keeping inside too long. Thank your for thoughts here.

Dearest Alice Audrey — yes, that looked so cute and sweet on her. I wore the shirt plain out. Bought one for Mardi too. At Target. Mardi was the “other” Funster gal. Spoke with her on the phone today, sweet to catch up and share.

Dearest Joanna, I feel Kalyani and I shall be lifelong pals, and hope the girls will be too. (Who knows where the road will lead us…only a fool would say.) Oh, and what a delicious typo I just got out of that last line to you!! ) :) Fun to see them working things out and laughing. So MUCH laughing this last playdate / sleepover!! I was very happy for us all.

Dearest James, kids are so important! They lead us, they teach us, they show us how to be our best selves. So…. you’re a dog lover eh? Me too. And my cat is AWESOME!!

Dearest Talon, and I hope WE remain friends for life! Happy day to you too, even tho I know you celebrated last month. Yet, every day is Thanksgiving, as you know and live.

Dearest Jennifer Susannah, my less than proud moments about myself have taught me well to not be so judgemental. Mistakes I’ve made and realize I’ve made brought me to this moment. Speaking of beer, heard a funny Youtube video called “Beer Is Good For You.” Silly little catchy song. :) Happy ChristmaHannaKwazica a bit early. (Sorry, bad spelling on that I think.)

Hi Dearest J.D. You are right there IS nothing like those moments. Fun to have in photos. And new moments to create all the time as life unfolds in all its wonderfulness!!

Going to gymnastics, but I’ll take the backroads. I bet your friends are thinking of you too, the ones still alove. And alive!!! Great typo. I had one above in my comment to Joanny, used food for fool. Yes, -noted!! I have about 14 typos now, need to “buckle down” and get a couple pix photo shopped. :) You are very familiar with that song, I’m sure, “When Somebody Loves You.” Sometimes makes me cry that song so beautiful.

Coming to Funsterland a tad tardy,
but always pleased to catch up on
    the zaniness and hearttalk that
show up here like moss in our
lawn on a regular basis. So,
    it is Wednesday here already,
and Jannie is on her way home
from the “vacation” and is getting
ready to launch herself into the
    whirling dervish of Turkey Day.
Do you and Jimmy ever deep fry
the bird? My Texas inlaws picked
up that habit from some Louisiana
    friends. How wonderful that your
friend, Kalyani, her of the fuzzy pants
franchise, has a lovely daughter that
can be Kelly’s friend too. Strange that
when 4-5 day goes by and we don’t
see a Jannie comment on our site,
(one of a 100 you visit), or don’t find
time to visit Funsterville, we get to
    feeling unsettled. Cyber friends somehow
feel like next door neighbors. If you
do not see them, or hear from them
daily, it kicks off panic, and those
    bells can be bothersome.

Dearest Glenn, due to a lower than anticapated cash flow we did not physi8cally travel. But I took some trips and never left the farm. part of being happy is enjoying the horizons we already have. I bake my turkey. Not a fan of those deep fried ones, yuck! :) I get a bit unsettled when you are away too, Glenn. It’s fun being your friend!

Dearest Chris, she is so embarassed now to think she played barbies — so over that whole thing, the first sign when she and the boy next door dismembered and flushed barbies. Mr. Rooter came to the plumbing rescue tho. Yes, a swimming pool! :)

Dearest Moon-sprinkled Moon dust pixie, howdy! Was this fun? I’ll have to re-read this, actually I forget what this post was about other than idea of the 3 pix. It was a wonderful feast yes, thanks. But would you believe I’ve not yet eaten any pie? Be perfect for breakfast!

Dearest Alice Audrey, I do not know how I ever got so extremely lucky in all facets of my life — family, friends, child, etc, etc. My 2 best pals here, Kalyani and Suzie I met through our kids. Waaa, way lucky.

Dearest Caity — I know, I smile at you for your blogging starts and stops, but I always know you are out there being your wonderful self. I myself may start posting only 2x weekly on average, now that I’m spending more time on songwork, and less on blogging. I LOVE blogging (as you may know,) :) But it is easy to let blogging’s fun-loving joys distract me. More time on music, less on blogging is probably a good thing for me, as much as I miss my buds when I am not flitting around as often.

Dearest Joy! Did you get my phonecall? Did you listen to it? Or think it was some total nut with a crank call. :) Yes, very busy, and missing not getting around to blog reading as much, but happy and creating. And may YOU enjoy your every moment, and know that I think you’re AWESOME!!

Hi Dearest Theresa, yes there is no way around it — a blogger only has 24 hours in a day! :) Glad I’m allowing myself to realize that. Yes, a lovely Thanksgiving, thanks. And you??
