The Kelly Way Of Putting On Suspenders

The Pea, Videos | Posted by Jannie on 29 November 2010 @ 2:12 PM 46 Comments

Hey, Kiddoes!

I had so much fun up in my tree earlier today, picking 5 of you to receive the poetry books, but a technical issue prevents me from uploading that video now, sorry.  (Need to free up a bit of storage first, I think.)

So let’s say… a week from today on that?  Bravo!

Meantime, there’s an elfin dancer for you.

She walked in looking like that night before last, and 30 seconds later I was taping.

She had not danced until the video — lucky us to witness!

How ’bout you, my friend?

Will you hop up now with a little singing dance wherever you are??!

Don’t be shy.  Your co-workers might join in on same!

Oh, her introduction is…

“Welcome to the Nerdy Show.  This week’s topic? You’ll find out.”

(Priceless.)

:)

Love, Jannie

Austin_Trail_Fall_2010

And that’s a photo I took on The Trail this morning – such a soft, refreshing so-glad-to-be-alive morning!

I know one of my good blogging  friends is also having computer issues, so she can at least see the pic, if not the enfin dancer video until she gets to MB’s computer, (if she’s not on MB’s computer when she reads this.)

Temp on my walk this morning about 64 F.

Currently 66, with a high of 76 expected.

I gotta go start my dishes now!

And make a gigantic salad with 10 things in it for my sweet-loving, good-looking Jimmy!!!

Then have a bath!!!

(But perhaps not necessarily in that order.  Dishes may have to wait!) (As usual.)  :)

How cute! I have dishes (and clothes, and a dirty floor and dog kennels) waiting on me. It is easier for me to sit here and lazily wander through my favorite blogs with holiday music in the background and a hot cup of joe. A bath in my future sounds like a wonderful thing..Happy Monday, dear.

Your home videos are so much fun. I loved hearing you laughing as you taped and, of course, Kelly did a great job at her suspender dance. It was like “it’s a wonderful life by Jannie!”

Oh, and I also like the GREAT BIG tree picture…you really do enjoy your camera…is the new one or is that a Santa gift?

Gosh, those pesky chores do call to us,
but thank God we are selective listeners,
and have our priorities set; blogging first,
then brunch, then that shower, then errands,
then back to writing poetry, or reading it
to create mp3’s, watch a movie, do some
scrapbooking, buy a new microwave for
Miss Melva, set the appointment for the
appliance serviceman to fix the Bosch
    dishwasher, play with the grandsons,
chase the guest dog, find the cat,
    and think about dinner/supper–
oh yeah, and wait for the rain to
slacken so I might take a walk
down by the river too, looking for
    my own special tree.

In the meantime, Daddy Jim gets
off the phone, Jannie finds her
    lost tambourine, Kelly trips on
    her suspenders but BB catches
her before she breaks her arm.

Beautiful pictures and suspenders dancing. I wonder what the fascination is for kids with suspenders. My partner’s ski pants have suspenders which were always disappearing for some costume or game.

Loved the tree and walk scene too.

we had a high of 28 today…and it is already so dark I had to turn on the lights already. Wonder if the Seasonal decoration lights will come on – Oh there they are…Wow that was synchronized!

I love to happy dance…I think I will do it next on the way to fold laundry

Jeanne, my Jeanne!!! halooooooo. Ah, thanks. I love your laugh too. And we certainly have shared more than a few over the phone.

Alice Audrey — I get that a lot from Kelly too! Me acting weird, but I think secretly she wouldn’t have me any other way! :)

Hey, Lynn who is flying carry-on only today. Yes, she is something else indeed!! Glad you got a chuckle.

HILARY!! Yes, in Canada we call them braces too!! But the Americans might get those mixed up with the metal things used to straighten teeth, you suppose? I was wondering if she were going to fling that shirt! Snowbound — how cozy!! Kiss the snow for me.
