Up My Tree

I am hiding under my blanket as I write this so the marshmallow goblins don’t get me.

Anyway, if you are 1 of the 5 peeps who won a poetry book, whooo-hoo.

And if you are not 1 of the 5 peeps, whooo-hoo.

If you did your dishes lately, whooo-hoo.

If you like shrimp scampi, whooo-hoo.

If you’re a vegetarian, whooo-hoo.

If your socks match, whooo-hoo.

If you like life, whooo-hoo.

If you dance, whooo-hoo.

If you sing, whoo-hoo.

    perhaps ’twas only a dream
    or a begotten scheme,
    that I kept a pet
    of a monotreme,
    not a duck
    down on its luck,
    nor a hen
    escaped from a pen,
    or even a tree
    planted long ago
    by one, somewhat like me
    in angst was I
    in my dream(or scheme)
    for what does one feed
    a monotreme,

    no matter old sport
    quoth I to it,
    I’ve had a thought
    let’s Google your name
lower case,’tis all of the same
then as soon as you blink
we will have named what you eat,and drink

    quick as that’s done
I’ll make the call, place an order,
double the lot with fries on the top
send it to me,we’ll eat on the run
mayo and ketchup,on a sesame seed bun
    before I do that,
best I pass ’round the hat
my wallet is just a tiny bit flat.

Hey Jannie! I’ve got a proposition for you!

No, it’s not THAT kind of proposition, you naughty girl!
    (Wait a minute… you didn’t think that, I did!)

Seriously though, I have a recent post that apparently (according to many commenters) is just begging to be a song, and I was wondering if you’d like to give it a shot?

The post can be found HERE!

    Let me know! Thanks!

The misty mountains are hiding behind clouds. Can’t tell if it’s rain or hail hitting the roof. I’m thinking hail.

Glad you were able to descend the tree without damage or harm…but what a great location to share the winners names And we all know location, location, location is vital to the process and the success.

Thanks for this great kick in the butt post…made for a big smile

All that vocal training is standing you in good stead, projecting to the camera all the way from up your tree! Unless the audio track is dubbed in a totally seamless way, which I would not put past your flawless sound production capabilities! Either way it’s flawless.

Thanks, Chris — you are TOO kind!! :) I think the singing projected better than the talking — a sign to stick with singing, a good thing.

Davina — STELLAR idea, thanks!! Bungee cord? :)
