That Kooky Kelly

I leaned the wrapped tree against the wall and walked back to pay the lady.

When I turned around guess who was doing what to the tree? Yep!

All less-than-50 lbs of her schlepping that thing to me.

Tree weighs around 30 lbs.

(She did not drop it!)

I like that kid.

Cute as all get out. Even in unimpressive quality iPhone photos.

(I’m pretty sure I overheard elves talking about a better camera coming my way Christmas morning.  But don’t let on to the elves, okay? I’m still on probation with them over that whole whiskey in Santa’s milk thing last year.)

But back to that kid.

She comes in real handy.

Like today, decorated the tree all by herself.

Now that’s my kind of decorating!  I sit in my comfy chair watching The Child create the magic.

Tune in soon for another chapter in Kooky Town.

And have a super, super great day!!

Or night, as the case may be.

Love, Jannie

xoxoxoxo

I am off to bed now.

She did good! Ours is still standing about 4 feet from the door where we brought it in – naked. Guess I’ll have to find some Christmas spirit somewhere and get it decorated – or at least get the lights down from the attic. Wait, we have a wind chill of 17 deg. It’s cold up there! :( Enjoy your holiday.

Beautiful Cindy — hi sweetie! Hope you are well. Hey, let’s meet over the holidays, shall we??

Beautiful Jennifer Susannah Devore — Yep, loving that fir scent. O Tannenbaum — Jim’s older brother would LOVE you for saying that, even tho their ancestors landed 150 years ago, Tom is very fond of his German heritage. Et, a toi, Belle!

Beautiful Caity — It really does look great, and is still about 90% finished. First time we have had our tree in that corner and I like it a lot!!

Beautiful (or handsome) link buikding services. Yes, I guess her gymnastics training is really building up her muscles! And I can relate to link building, that was a goal of mine at one time — not so much now. So good luck on it!

Beautiful Lynn — she’s a natural decorator, and put some garland other places in the room too. And your decorations look so cute! Glad you got them out and put up your little tree.

Beautiful Kimberly! Watch out with those electrically heater long johns. The shorting out can be quite “shocking” I hear. Thanks for the wonderful laugh!! She is quite the pistola, yes, for sure!! Wait until you see my post of her singign Silent Night. Next post, I think!

Beautiful Linda — if it weren’t for Kelly I’m sure our tree would still be outside the door too. She asked me 20 times yesterday morning when we were going to start decorating. I had to clear out the corner first. -17, ouch. :) Good luck on decorating — and enjoy!

Beautiful Secret Agent Woman — Isn’t it AWESOME when they take the reigns. What was seeming like a little “chore” to me put her in heaven! And I know, I couldn’at believe my eyes to see her lifting that. Then again I can believe it — she’s quite the unique kid!!

Beautiful Vered — she picked it out too. Thanks, it is pretty, yay!! Christmastime!!

Christmas trees in TX are always at
a premium. You don’t have them growing
in your back yard like some of us do
here in the North woods. Kelly makes
the holidays tinkle with angel bells
and be sprinkled with fairy dust.
It continues to be such a cyber
privilege to just watch her sprout.
A pea princess for the ages.
The smell of the evergreen is the
clincher for me. It creates the
    frosting on the holidays.

Good for you getting all that done.
That first pic kinda reminds me of the cartoons that show Santa, or the Grinch, or who ever, teetering n picking up huge xmas piled stuff to pop in n out of the chimneys… Are you sure Kelly isin’t really an Elf?
My Mother always had a decorating dinner party, so she’d get alot of help. I have no tree inside except a very small wire one this year.
Remind your Elf Girl to be careful climbing! I wonder if she cleans up needles too…
Also remind Santa how good she was to do so much!

    I’m sure will glow
    My tinsel wrapped

    Now if I could
    only find a place
    to stand it
    so it to all
    I could show
    maybe up on
    the manual
    or on the TV
    it might go
    I’m really not
    sure what to do
    for I want
    all to see
    that bulb shine so
    now do drop bye
    and look in
    my window
    for it will be
    somewhere
    that I know
    for it is not
    the size of
    that little tree
    but what is in
    ones heart
    that shows

    Jannie,

That is too funny! Kelly was ambitious carrying that tree. That man’s face in the background was funny too. I wonder if he could even see her from where he was standing. She’s kind of covered up by the tree and he’s there back a bit. Perhaps he thinks the tree is levitating.

Kelly did a very nice job decorating the tree! I am happy to hear no reports of broken arms in the process too!

Hi Jannie .. me doesn’t see BB helping .. or do the branches hide him somewhere. Me is concerned managimitis is leaving young Kelly to do the heavy work .. mind you I bet he still has to do the washing, dishwashing and web creation?

Still what a little star she is .. lifting all that humungous tree all by herself … and then decorating it .. Cool Mummy lying low – reckon that’s kind a smart!

Cheers – glad you’re getting yourself organised! for the festive splurge .. I’m being kind to birds here .. been out and bought cake for them .. dropped one at the Supermarket – a fellow customer picked it up and said you’ll be missing this in a day or two .. I said .. “no but the birds would” – that stopped a few peeps in their track?! I’m ready when this big freeze comes .. boy have you some big ice-lollies over there – even a lighthouse?! Cooooooollll ..

cheers for now .. hugs to all .. Hilree xoxoxo
