Look At The Stars, Look How They Shine For You

Yesterday in the bathtub I sat singing

Coldplay’s “Yellow.” Such a pretty song.

Later, in my blue chiffon I combed

the forest for something cheery for you

– a daffodil shock maybe, or a single lemon,

but came up short – until I remembered

the yellow guitar lesson, the spaghetti thing,

and that I always already have what I need.

Gautami! I just logged back in here for the first time in a few hours and WOW, yes — this is a LOT of yellow! :)

Lynn! Speaking of lovely — there YOU are! have a good one too. I just glittered the outside of 96 votive holders with the wax already in them.

Vered! And it’s TRUE. I’ll remember to remember it whenever I feel I amin some way lacking something.

Secret Agent Woman! Funny how my old camera caught the afternoon light in a haze like that. And the teacher was such a super-nice guy. She was 6 then.

Lancie! Sadly they have taken that sculpture down, boo hoo. I wonder what they did with it? Guess we’ll just have to make one of our own!! :)

Mama Zen. I had NOTHING for a 55 idea, then BB and all his yellow got me going. Whoo hoo- another rabbit from 55 hat pulled. :)

Hi Linda! It was such a cool thing, made of PVC pipes and surgical tubing. But gone now, sadly. I hope YOU have a great one too!!

Hi Aimee– well, this post had the desired effect — to bring some cheer into a winter’s day for many of you. Yep, all is GREAT!! I just be-glittered the lower 2/3rds of 96 votive holders, and after my bath I will bauble up a few more centerpieces. All is very very well. And I hope it is with YOU too!!

Hey, Monkey Man. Yep, all 3 were fun days, these photos. We know no other days to have! P:)

Hi Katherine!! Yes, the melody is so lovely and haunting. And a love song. Nice. Oh, yes, the Comment Luyv — sorry! I’ll get BB on that as soon as he makes my lunch and irons all my ball gowns.

Lovely Jennifer Susannah, golden, yellow — our states of domicile, and states of mind are sunny

Thanks Moondust! I worked 6 hours today. I think I’m done for the night. Have a couple more hours bauble hanging in the a of m. Then a bit of glue-gunning. And that’s it! So sweet of you to remember tomorrows the Big Day.

And TWO inches of the white stuff cancelled school?! We did get lots and lots of it, and it closed our schools down. But it didn’t close the stores down, it was fun at work though… since over 40 people called in they got us pizza for showing up.

    Another fun 55-
I didn’t know you were writing about yellow when I wrote about a heart being yella… I didn’t know guitar lessons could be yellow! I’ve known some nervous recitalists tho-
I’m reminded of the Rolling Stones tune “You can’t always get what you want”’s line “Ya get what ya need!” So true we don’t need so much of our stuff. When I throw stuff out tho, I usually end up needing it!
    Thanks for the yellow cheer!

    Good luck at your Gala!

Oh so mellow yellow, and the Texas state
flower sure does conjure up those
    corn rows, sunflowers, sweating glasses
of lemonade, packs of juicy fruit, school
    buses, golden labradors, pineapple rings,
and my teeth before I scrub them.
Terrific 55, girl, but now Kelly has me
counting the words, and I think you
are poeticising outside the lines again.
No matter, for as you /comb the forest
for something cheery/ you spread the
cheer, the sunshine, and the love.

Brian! A yellow car sounds refreshing! And Xterras very zippy I think.

Talon! Better than all the gold that glitters in the world.

Oooo Suzen! Your new blog updates sound great – I’ll look forward to seeing them indeed! Snow melted yet?? Won’t be long.

Hey K & B — and I added MORE yellow for fun!! And a cheeseburger for the post I’ll hit Publish on after I post this comment. Yep, can you believe TWO inches cancelled school!!! :) Today it’s in the 70s tho, and sunny. Oooo, I LOVES me some pizza!!! And I’m soooo hungry at this moment.

KING!! Yellow so totally ROCKS!! And so great to see you, always a highlight in Funsterland.

Hey, Snag — yeah, cool heart color post you put up. Yella indeed. Yes, I KNOW — thrown stuff is often missed. Gala was great, I’ll most likely do a post on it one day before too long.

Hey, Sheila, now I’m singing the song again, after a few days not. :) Great song, such a plaintivbe voice and melody.

Hey, Adrenalynn, well sometimes I need reminding too! I guess most of us do from time to time.

Anne Bender!! Anne who works in a job outside the home now. Yes, I’m hungry too, the post I’m about to publish is about a cheeseburger.

Glenn!! WONDERFUl list of yellow things I missed. And oh crap — no! More than 55 words again?? I better get with the program, eh? :)

Hey Desk 49!! And yesterday I saw a dandelion growing! can you believe spring is rearing it’s happy head here already??

Hey, Shiny Laura!!! You shine on too, girl, you sunshiney cheery one of great love and joy!

Hey, Alice Audrey, yes the very proper classical guitar position. Yep, I swear, we think we need stuff a lot of time, and as you say, it IS right there. And often what we think we need or want we can really do without.

J.D. Coldplay is GOD-like, like U2. Great tunes indeed!

Fireblossom! how ’bout that, eh? I miss that thing. Wonder where it went? Hopefully to another museum so others can enjoy too!!
