Some Feet, a poem

Poetry, The Pea | Posted by Jannie on 10 April 2011 @ 5:55 PM 38 Comments

mystery_feet

Some feet worry holes in floors,
while others sneak in through back doors.

Some feet tiptoe late at night
up the trellis and out of sight.

Some feet rush down subway stairs
to catch fast trains that go nowhere.

Some feet laze by pools where maids
bring fluffy towels and lemonade.

But the bestest feet of all
belong to someone cute and small.

Whoever could that small one be?
My one, my only — Sweetie Pea.

Tell Kelly that when I was ten, I was doing backwards somersaults into the local pool n finally missed- (well, it gets you dizzy) n I had to get 10 stitches in my head! We didn’t have staples in those days. So she beat me! By a staple/ stitch. I do remember a big head ache tho-

Hodwy! You are indeed on KFUN. :)

Beautiful Jo, Beautiful Jo. I’ve repainted my toenails. Not my fave color ever, but I may get used to it.

Beautiful Lynn, Daisy, Tess, Davina, and Talon — yet the photo has to be a sweet classic that will crack many more up to come.

Snaggle, you must’ve been a very active and athletic kid. Sorry ’bout your headache, hers does no longer. The Dr still does stitches too, forgot why he favored staples in this case.

Hey, J.D. — and it’s fun for me too, I never know what Im gonna post next, soemtimes. :)

Aimee!! Thanks for popping in, as always. I hope you and yours are well.

    Ahhh, hi cuties!

Me and Miss Sweet Feet are at the library. Funny not to have gymnastics, and we won’t until her 11 scalp staples come out.

Anyhoo, delighted to read all visits. And wow, a mole has come out of her hole to say hi — a cute, cute, cute mole. :) :) :) Hello Mole!! :) :) :)

And I think I just got the stink eye from a mom whose little boy I just asked if he’d mind please not rapping on the table, as it was distracting. Oh well, I was polite, of course. And someone has to be the parent around here!

Now, I’m off to say hi to a few peeps on my last post — the soap give-away one, then fly to some blogs.

And maybe even check in on FaceBook — its been maybe a week since I’ve darkened the FB doors for that great 5 minute episode.
