I played and sang a couple too, on my blue guitar.

A good start indeed! The Nutcracker and a gingerbread house party are parfait pour le commence de la saison! Ours (the Viking and I) commenced last week at the Hotel del Coronado, to be followed by, what else? More Disney and more Hotel Del this weekend!!
    Cheers, Miss Jannie

Well, Dearest Alice Audrey, the kid does keep me hopping. :) And tho I’ve talked about it, we still do not have our tree up. Hopefully chance one this afternoon if I get the prime rib cooking time figured out so I can set the oven before I go get her from choir. The bottom third of the fake tree went missing. MISSING!! I last saw it in the old garage. And see I edited in 2 more pix here?

Dearest Jennifer… I ate SO many of the gumdrops and even those gross little chemical laded teeny hard gingerbread candies that night The Sugar Lady has been eating too much of that. The lemon cake at Mard’s party was SO AMAZING. And she sent me home with 2 big slices of it. Oh yeah, I edited this up to 7 pix. You like? :) I think Kelly looks like Nadia Comenici in that poinsetta pose. It was my first time in the Long Center main room. Nice!! I actually felt a bit of vertigo walking to my seat, yikes. So high up. Hotel Del Coronado. I have a lovely 5×7 card I bought in that area in 1994 of the beach in Coronado. Seriously?? Y’all went to Disney Land. Of course! The lights, my Sparkle Friend. Cheers to you!!! And lovely green lettuce, red tomatoes, crisp cheese. And the most succulent grapes, freshest baguettes, and oldest wine. :)

Oh what a sweet treat…checking off that list for sure. Library Girl wants some money to help pay for a Smart Phone…all the kids she works with are ahead of her – so I think the list has that checked off.

We are trying to help her also get a car, but she does not want one, the weather has been nice..and even in the big city a car is safer.

Enterprising girl just got a managerial position in another city…helped her move – checked off a massage for those aching muscles

IT Girl got her thesis approved she is done! WOW

Check off lots of things here too, but miss those good old days of events

I am happy to say that I am enjoying listening to the CD very much. Have Jannie’s new CD on my list…and everyone is making music this season…

lots of check marks to add on

Dearest Patricia, whose blog I have been soorely neglecting… Hi! Library Girl is a Bicycle Girl too, eh? Yes, safer for sure. And warmer. And drier, a car would be. I had a massage once. When I was done it looked like I’d gottena tan. WOW — thesis done and accepted. A PHd gal? yay, glad you are enjoying your CD, long awaited. I am enjoying some tea. About to e-mail myself 5 of my songs with scratch vocals, so I can listen to them on my walk later via iPhone. Prime rib in smouldering, or whatever it does in there. Jim’s picking up the asparagus and potatoes. And I’ll do the greens. Glass of pinot noir would be nice. A WHOLE bottle, I’ll drink. Don’t worry — it’s just one of those little 187 ml bottles! :) I like to buy those 4-packs. Yep, lots of events. And teh ones remaininig that I can think of are… choir concert, piano recital, party for up to 8 of her friends here / caroling, puppet show performance at church. And lots else I’m sure. Kel and I were going to pick up a tree a while ago, but traffic seemed preclisive tonight. Anyhoo, thanks for your email this moring too, will respond.

Dearest Lynn, well… what keeps me going and chipper is knowing I’ve got lots of photo moments to capture. Yeah, her posing was cute. So serious in the poinsettias. She was a little shy, or whatever with Santa, but it was real cute to witness. And she struck up the praying herself. I had no idea what light setting would be best for the opera house, but anyway… at least I got a fuzzy pic to commemorate the special moment after the show. Her friend Erika was an angel in the show.

    Dearest Ladies, and Gentleman…

I’ll be answering comments tonight between midnight and 1:00 a.m. See you then!!

    Lyrics going good, yes.

Funny how the first CD I had the songs pretty-much all written before I went to the studio. This time ’round I’m putting it all together as I go.

And a tweak-tweak-tweaking the words. Making progress, tho.

    And above all, having fun!!

My goal for tonight is 2 great vocals for the Kerrville NewFolk contest… And 2 to 3 better “scratch vocals” on others. And to drink a BIG beer. Just kidding, just kidding. No beer for me tonight. :) Lots of water and tea, tho.

    Another great pictorial adventure with
Miss Kelly. Two things actually, several
of these images could be photo prompts
    for poetry posting challenges; especially
“posing by the poinsettas” and “praying
with the nativity angels”; fantastic capture
of child, symbol, color, and the season.
One day Kelly will be grown, and we can
all hope that a grandchild will fill the
Funster gap for magical child moments.

Dearrest G — Christmas time is here, happiness and cheer. Fun for all, the chidren call their favorite time of year… :) Merry merry, ho-ho-ho. And guess what I have a book of Tom Lehrer’s song lyrics, yes indeed I do!!!

Hi Deares SuZen… Well, today, and afgter being in the studio last night I’m taking it So easy on the sofa. :) Happily lazy, am I! But plan on revisiting “Love Will Be The Answer” lyrics after I post this, see what combinations of imagery might coalesce. Ahhh, I love the feeling of love ever present. Ever present. hmmmn… gets my song lyrics wheels going. :)

Dearest Davina — yes, I love that gymnastics capture. Kelly was regaling the other two with something great I’m sure — while the one above was trying to master her lotus pose. :) And it looks like Kelly will soon be moving up from recreational to team gymnastics, which she is SO happy about!

Hi Dearest Hilary — and I’ve written DOWN each and every event, so as not to miss any by a minute. Still her choir performance tomorrow, puppets and piano Sunday. And more, I’m sure!! :) MUCH more before the 25th! Lycis for “Mary” went AWESOME, as you may know from a certain e-mail with attachment. Bit by bit, by bit all the songs are coming along.

But now I need a spot of lunch to have strength for more comment answering!! ;0 :)

    left-over prime rib, anyone?

OMG, that made me laugh!!! I don’t feel too bad about the still-missing tree stand now, Alice Audrey. But… you guys have moved so that’s understandable. We’re still in the same house!! :) At least the tree is in a bucket of water in the house now. So, as Kelly said last night when she saw that… “Great — progress!!” AND I have taken a “Before” photo of this room, so that may get me motivated to decorate this room. Go all Martha Stewart. Hmmmn, Janie could cut some evergreen branches to decorate. But nah, that sounds like work. :) :) Still, if there’s a photo op available, I just might go whole hog. ESPECIALLY since I can now work my timer and get the Funster Fam all in a nice holiday shot. I never know how it may go…

    Now… that tree stand??

Oh wait — COOL you MADE your own tree. how big is it? Did you make one for Jack & Jill too?? :)
