You Will Wait, in 55 words
Flash Fiction 55, The Pea | Posted by Jannie on 9 March 2012 @ 1:53 PM 36 Comments

You will wait some, yes,
in post offices, airports
and auto repair shops.
You will wait for phone calls,
tulips and checks in the mail.
You will wait for shows to begin.

You will wait and wait
for what seems forever
for babies, answers and
dolphins until suddenly
– there they are!
Within and around you.

That makes 55 words for The G-Man!
Write and post a 55-word fiction and let him know.
It’s a fun, 100% calorie-free adventure.
(Unless of course… you, as I, munch potato chips and swill beer while computering.)
Blessings to all!
Oh, that was in Galveston, TX this past summer, on a dolphin cruise boat. On a balmy 102 degree day.

I just LOVE dolphins, so smart, majestic and powerful and trusting.

Dolphins frolick and remind us to have fun wherever we are. Great lesson that patience is a virtue. What you watch matters less than how you are doing it. Notice the peace within. Be gentle with nature and yourself and watch how the universe brings you everything. Simply open the senses to take it all in.

Thank you, beautiful people!
I’ll be getting around to y’alls blogs this weekend.
Currently sitting in the car on this rainy day, outside Kelly’s gymnastics. Working on songs here. That’s the beauty of songwriting. — you can do it ANYwhere your mind goes. And usually I have my mind with me. Usually.

Hi Jannie, I can only imagine how refreshing that boat trip was on such a hot day! Great poem, as usual, but potato chips and beer? Oh my. Read my blog on chocolate – a better choice

Gorgeous! I love the dolphins. We saw quite a few in the Gulf during our trip to Florida last fall.
Oh, and I’m not so good with the waiting thing.

What do you know? Live your growing up life in a place and never know everything about it. I had no idea there were dolphins in the Gulf. I sure don’t think very far beyond what’s in front of me. Looks like she really enjoyed it. Loved the writing too. You should give that to her some momentous time (graduation, marriage, etc.).

THANKS, everybody.
They pay the dolphins to swim up close like that!
And I did not know Tom Petty was a Floridian.
Off now to practice “78704″
Or maybe look at “Goin’ Down To The River.”

Waiting to see dolphins is truly worth the wait, you get butterflies waiting for them to visit, then when they come along showing off by putting on a show for you, the butterflies start to do acrobatics, amazing feeling, especially in the wilds of the sea

What an awesome thing to wait for! Great pic story, n bet it was tough to get that fast dolphin in there with Kelly-
You also waited n waited for my comment, until I had alot of time to load your page on my very slow computer! I didn’t get to use the fast one this week, seeing as I’m contaminated. I finally was able to taste some french fries for dinner this week- the soup is getting old. No more chip crunching for me!
Tho I tried some sweet potatoe Micro-waved homemade ones a couple week-ends ago. MB has a Pampered Chef kit to make them. No oil!
have a lovely week

I thought it was a cheque in the post?

Hey, Joey, and the boot is in the bonnet. Or is that the bonnet is on the boot? My Easter Bonnet is in my boot, and in my car trunk.
It was quite thrilling to have teh dolfins dance up so close to us.
