Do not fret that

you couldn’t catch

the yellow’s tail.

Rejoice that you’ll be

first out of the gate when

the light goes green.

trash_1

Do not fret that you

are selling memories

for money on eBay.

Look how Curious Kitty

painted his awesomeness

into art for the Universe.

Look how you get

to spread some Princess

love to other little girls

while financing

your awesome daughter’s

awesome gymnastics.

do not fret.
do not fret.
do not fret.

And should a big unsightly

pole mar your sunset photo,

just paint that puppy out!

    Yeah do not fret
The cat learned that you can bet
All the stress is just crap
That makes you want to take a nap
And all your energy does go
So why bother to let it grow
Just tell it to pound sand
And do things that are grand

BEAUTIFUL kitty cat–I AM a “cat”-Peep! Mine is Bert.

Conversation between a violinist and guitarist, of which I have had MANY:

Guitarist: “How do you play violin?
How do you know where to put your fingers?”

Violinist: “We fiddlers just never have fret!”

Wow, relaxation time in a room I spent 2 hours today cleaning.

The kittens are all trying to nurse. Hilarious. Now SEVEN weeks old, holy cow! We’ll be adopting 2 out in just 2 or 3 weeks. 7 weeks that has FLOWN!!!

    But enough of THAT!

PAT, having animals reminds us to me in the moment, as they are.

STEVE, you fiddlers are as awesome-cool as those upright bass folk.

BRIAN, and the sacrifice the blessing indeed. Great observation, my dude!

LINDA, I am already feeling more of a balance. 30-days, wow, you kick butt!

AIMEE, when I see that writer I’ll pass on that hug, thanks.

JENNIFER, I’m sure I saw Snow at the last Princess Summit, didn’t I?! The one in Tora-Bora??

KELLY, yes, any time I’ve ever worried in all my 48 years it’s been a waste.

DAYDREAMERTOO work — schmerk, I think I’m ’bout ready to retire. And par-tay!!

AMY-Bo-BAMY!! Poor Kit-Kat, he was top cat here for so long. What a trooper that little sweetie is.

CLAUDIA, “Photoshop the crap out of your life…” is a lyric I’ve sang a bit! :)

Ahhhhhh, Elizabeth, you are such an angel. I feel the conspiration. No, wait, conspiracy, there, that’s right! :) IS bringing me many angels, like you.

ROSEMARY!! You Da Bomb, and you will be added to my sidebar button list next. I feel a button coming on. I did curse at a light or two yesterday, but I’m alriiiight now!! :)

PATRICIA! You’re making me Google “austerity…” Ah, good one. Cutting goverenment spending, thus programs. I would like to move back to Canada yes, if O is reelected. But I think too many good people are onto what really works to create a job — so things WILL go back to sanity here yes. :) I DO like the idea of love and doing the right thing as a stimulus for all.

Now, AYALA….. you know THAT is impossible because YOU are the best!!! Thank you. Namaste.

HEAVEN! I think it’s actually the first time with My Good Camera I’ve braved a sunset shot. I rea-[[[[[[[[=222 OKAY — THAT was kitten Karma walking across my lap top. Such a cutie. So curious. Anyhoo… The Day Job. I do what I can, and usually with a smile. I sing there a lot. Gonna take in my guitar to play a song for everybody who comes in soon.

LYNNIE-BO-BINNIE. Just a rather quick job, could feather the clouds a bit more I think. But not baaaaad yes, I suppose for a first draft. Yes, happy moments in the job, and any that are not, I obviously need to change my perception.

GLENNIE-Bo-Bennie, you got IT! I’m a working, wifely-mom selling stuff on eBay on the side to give the kid an opportunity at something she loves. And did you know you are AWESOME!!!??

And Jannie is almost at her bedtime.

RAVENBLACK, Get enough rest, eat green stuff at least a few times a week and notice the amount of time you spend worrying about past and future. Every moment’s a clean slate. And now to have fun in.

FRED!! Awesome is a word I have often told that cat to his face. The shoot with him started when he came up to inspect a Camry tail light. Curled himself up around it. Then stayed for the Dishey scene.

SNAGGLE, it’s all only stuff and there’s an endless supply of all that. An electric violin. A good treasure to have as an asset. Where would you sell it? You adore me? That’ll keep me going for a… lifetime, thanks! Yes, gymnastics money must come after food and shelter. And before chocolate. Yes, even chocolate! :) Yes, that IS KitKat. I know he’s had a low profile here for a good year now, with Mieshka on the scene and this year FOUR kittens. He’s sure an awesome trooper indeed.

Dearest STEVE KING, I love how you are so humble about your fine writing. Some days the words photoshop themselves with more zest than others. Some days are diamonds, some dust so sayeth John Denver.

DAISY, and I can think of no more important things than immediate family. Well, maybe having fun blogging! :) Yes, I did not realize how much competition fees, club dues and meet apparel cost for team gymnastics. Worth it, tho! It’s a top notch training facility, and run by great people. And The Child LOVES it!! Even tho this summer she spends 5 days a week there, she is a very, very happy little athlete.

K? K? That K? MY K? :) What a lovely surprise. The blogging winds bring in all kinds of friends for welcome touch downs. Yes, Kitty is such a Universal soul, spreading his awesomeness hither and yon.

Dearest J. D. Meier, I am wearing mostly sleeveless shirts these hot summer days, so I hide my smoke and mirrors in my flipflops. :)

Dearest Hilary, well, all that small stuff adds up. And I’ve just put an item that was an investment for my parents up which should garner the cost of her flashy sparkly Team leotard and warm-up suit. It’ll all work out. With a bit of time and lots of coffee. :) Be great to have an extra hour or so in the day lately. Cleaning up and feeding all the animals around here adds another hour to my day. Lots of kitten poop to scoop!! :) And the poor parakeets, I’ve forgotten and left their cage out 2 nights and one day I totally forgot to take th cover off their cage in the morning. But they survived all schedule changes! Poor things, that day they didn’t see the light of day til mid-afternoon. But getting a better routine now. 2 of the kittens will be adopted out on or after July 4th. Yep, things DO work themselves out. And always for the better. Oh, enjoy your rain. We did have a good downpour a few days ago for about 30 minutes.

My SARA… And your comments are ALWAYS definitely worth waiting for!!!!! I’m more of a fudgesicle and drumstick ice cream kinda gal. And popsicles without the cream. But love cream in coffee, on lemon cake (and many other kinds of cake,) and in Amy’s boxed macaroni. Yeah, and part of my posts are the thrill I get from new photos and BB with his header. And that art visual junkie thing takes time too. Speaking of which, I’ve taken like 150 pix of Mieshka and the 4 kittens in the past few weeks. Such an adventure those little 4 babies. Falling in love with them all. But (today) planning on keeping only 4. Which will mean we’ll have FOUR cats, TWO dogs, TWO parakeets and a bunch of fish. The fish I’m not planning on spaying or neutering, but the 3 felines needing such surgery will be attended to in that realm, like asap. Oh, the feline in this is actually KitKat, now 5 — our firstborn kitty. We did get him neutered, not that you asked.

And Jannie is going to bed now.

    So…..

I believe I missed a few of you up there.

ANA, ANA, ANA — you’ve probably no idea of how great I feel every time you pop in here!! Tho visits between friends may be few and far between at times, the sentiment remains happy in our hearts. GOLDY — perfect name for him. Ours is one kick-butt feline. Great temperament, loyal, sweet. And extra cuddly at my feel on those cold winter nights. A noble beast indeed. It will be great to see your new site — full of art, beauty and kindness, I’m sure. I really have to MAKE a date to read some blogs. hmmmn, maybe tomorrow afternoon after a few hours on eBay. xoxo

OLD OLLIE, your name still cracks me up. Be ye the dancing monk when not tired?? :) When I make a conscious choice to not worry bout the past or future, all is golden. And it’s really always there for the taking. Sitting and observing the pulse of nature in silence is a nice way to get into that non-fretting state indeed.

So…. DR. J.???? How do YOU do it, manage to post so regularly, plus work and make your blogging seem as easy as breathing? Do you have a maid? And a chaffeur, so you can blog by iPad in your limo to and fro work? I have taken a few “before” photos at that fun place I go 5 or 6 days a week for 3 to 6 hours at a stretch. So… I’ll have to take the afters. A couple weeks ago I did take an iPhone pic of an ink cartridge I sold on eBay. Think I got almost $9.00 for it. Not bad for something just sitting around collecting dust at someone’s yard sale. But you probably have no interest in seeing an HP57 tri-color ink cartridge still sealed in packaging photo. :)

CHRIS WSGAR!!!!!I mean Edgar. Whoops, was one key too far too the left there for a while. And heaven knows — I am SO not a person to the left. :) Now… what was it you were saying up there beside your spy-looking gravatar?? :) Hmmmn, Rum Tum Tugger, was he Tigger’s pal? I think I should know this. Like a cross between Rin Tin Tin and that French comic from the Viking times. What was that — Asterix, I think?? Oh shoot, I so do not know those lyrics. Not that I know, anyway. You’re way too cerebral for me with this commet, my friend. But it’s been educational for me, or will be, as I go off to Google them soon. Red Hot Chile Peppers maybe? eBay takes a lot of time to do right. I love great looking pix in my auctions. The photo shoot, resizing and uploading takes the longest time — but I do enjoy it. Gives me a little extra art adventure to dabble in.

JO!! I knew I loved you before I met you. I think I dreamed you into life. AWESOME song. And every day I am am am am am am so glad you knocked on my door with your letter all those years ago. 1994 — holy CRAP,. 18 years now. NO freaking way!!!???? But yes, t’is true. Holy shit. How awesome are we!!!???

No, nefver seen Cats, but more often than one would guess I hear a lilting voice coe from me singing… “Midnight, has the moon lost her memory… la la la la la la la la la la la la la.” At least I THINK that song IS in that musical? And Send In The clowns? Whicever show that’s in I’ve not seen either. Nor Les Mis, but I guess the latter just played here and was supremely golden.

    Jannie said,

Dearest Patricia, further to your comment, I was just thinking in reference to stimulus money, of what our Vice President said “It takes money to make money.” Which I agree with wholeheartedly, but the money has to come from the private sector.

How is a job created? Say, someone like me starts getting bigger business on eBay she can’t keep up with, so… she hires a helper.

Government stimulus to an initial extent may create paychecks, but only temporarily, obviously. Then we are left with higher debt. Mind you, some business DO catch on from stimulus — and that’s great! But, for the most part jobs are not sustained, because the heart and soul of the business person has nothing at stake. Free money is not so free, after all.

Lower taxes on all business owners would benefit ALL of us. Business owners would be more apt to hire others. Or even if taxes remained the SAME as they are now, it would be far better than piling up more debt.

In a bold and happy free economy the infrastructure takes care of itself with the surplus.

That’s what I feel to be true.

But….. with everything, all organizations are only as good as the intentions in the hearts of the people in them.

And organization can actually be one single organism — like you or I!! :)

    Hi Jannie..
I totally agree that what is the intention of the heart is most important.

Infrastructure Stimulus funds are from the private sector…It is how we get our roads and bridges and schools repaired from our tax dollars. It is not some new budget deficit funding….It is how our Federal government stimulates jobs….with our tax dollars.
The Intention of the Republicans right now is to keep Obama from having any stimulus money to get our infrastructure repaired. This is a Political maneuver and to me that is a bad use of my tax dollars.

Did you know that 700 water mains break in the USA DAILY The infrastructure has not been taken care of for 40-80 years. Let alone the number of bridges that have collapsed over the years. Communities are pouring every penny they have into feeding the poor and they are asking for the Republicans to stop with holding our money…..which they did not do for President Bush.

The folks at FOX news are paid to make it look like this is another stimulus of a different order and they are the voice of the fear mongers and perpetrators…I believe their intention is to scar folks socks off and I think many churches goals these days are attempting to play of fear to take us back to the dark ages.

Our power sources in our state are owned by Australian firms…because of Enron, we pay $76 a month of the legal fees for that debacle set up by a prosperity Republican Group….

We desperately need a balance of power in this country as the checks and balances are being ignored/raped. Dirty politics have been around for our whole history….I am hoping we can get these “NO” folks out the door and truly rebuild the communities
Trickle down economics has never worked….and all of Europe is going to come down hard on us if we do not get our country back on track soon. We are mostly controlled by Germany and China – I do not want to live in the Victorian era either.
It is very important to me, so I am using my time to campaign hard and teach theses days. The Hate mongers have 3 Billion dollars to spend…we have 500 million….In our state the NO sayer has 5 Million dollars from the Hate mongers to spend and the wonderful, intelligent candidate has 1.9 million, none from corporations all from $3 and $5 donations from the people.
I am teaching a lot of history…and talking to as many individuals as I am able.
I am praying my work will make a difference to defeat this ignorance
Have you ever read THE SHOCK DOCTRINE? by Naomi Klein It is happening right now…
We now know that Carter was one of the most honest and incredible leaders of our time….it’s written in history….but that does not mean folks give their meanness any rest about him….what a vicious set up because he was honest, loving, and kind – and a true believer.

Myth and reality are full of misinformation these days I would not want to be raising a daughter in TEXAS these days

I am reminded of what Mr. Kreary, maybe Creary drew out of us the very first day in grade 12 — history is what we interpret it to be.

Texas is a beautiful place filled with so many wonderful people. I am very lucky to be raising our daughter here.

There would not be so many poor people if they could find jobs. And jobs should come from the private sector.

I hope the Republicans hold fast. They were voted in Nov. 2010 for a reason.

You are right on imbalance. There was a big imbalance when the Democrats held all 3 arms of Fed gov’t prior to the Nov. 2010 election. Thankfully the voters spoke.

How often do you watch Fox news? Which shows on it do you watch?

    Always, love and The Best!

And you do realize, Patricia, that Austin is a city that always goes Democrat at elections? Yet, we Funsters continue to live and love it here! :)

    Jannie,
I have been to Austin 6 or 8 times in my working career and it is one of the most beautiful cities on our fair planet. It is a lovely place to live. I did not know that it is primarily a Democratic voting place. But then Texas in the not to distant future was one of the hardcore Democratic states in the Union.

I primarily came to Austin and Texas to talk about Health care issues and I was so happy when you did your posts about Kelly’s broken arm…she got the good SCHIP care that was set up by the Federal Government. That was one of the programs I was helping with on a national level. My last few years I have been working on health care for women, which other than in the large cities, is turning into a National disaster in many state including Texas – As a person who teaches ethics and thinking skills – I just wonder if anyone is truly “thinking” with the recent law changes.

When teaching Ethics at the University level I started watching and taping FOX news because it gave me good homework assignments and gave me great materials to teach debate skills and to increase folks communications skills. I have the habit so about once a week I still scan – I hate to say it but I usually laugh. It is like eating junk food!

I like to watch news shows that make me want to get out the research tools and follow through and Fox always makes me excited to dig deeply and figure out what they are really trying to say.

I am truly an Independent voter, I have little respect for the folks who ignore or ridicule women, children and the hard working people in their communities.

Our Governor has just gotten us free from NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND, which means we can choose our own textbooks in the state. TEXAS has chosen for us for years and teachers here are so relieved. I am so happy that my children finished school without the Texas approved text books….but I am so relieved that they did not go through school with the NCLB books.

If the infrastructure money had been voted on and released our firm would be going out to bid on 21 Federal Projects and be hiring at least 13 new employees…we are not sitting on our hands…but are helping to raise funds to cover teachers and counselors who have lost their jobs and health insurance and to repair schools. Just this past weekend 50 of the neighbors went and prepared the way for mold removal teams to come in a clean up an elementary school. No one paid us – it was the right thing to do and we had the skill to share.

I think opening up 16 million jobs is mighty good jobs creation. So why did the Republicans in Congress vote NO? especially if they are supposed to be job creators? I have to look at other motives.

Have you read David Korten’s book Agenda for a New Economy? I reviewed it section by section on my blog about 3 years ago. Yes local communities will create jobs and build their strengths and personalities – and grow their children well, but without getting our tax dollars back into the communities our only other choice is to not pay our taxes at all and just use the money here. That is a Federal crime, I believe.

I am so happy you are selling your things and that you have found a job…I know that it is scary and we are pretty much in the same position happy each day that we can pay our bills and stay well. Today 2,600 counselors lost their jobs in our state because a huge corporation came in and took away their revenues by putting liquor stores in every grocery store, because they would make money – now there are very few dollars for alcohol rehabilitation programs.

People are volunteering and sharing and educating themselves – I am hoping this is happening in other communities,

I think I would like to go to Canada because I will not be able to afford health insurance at all and the proposed Medicare changes will bankrupt my children…what a legacy to leave them.

I will not do that, I am the only person in my family without duel citizenship and the only one born here.

It is very tough times and most of us are working to do our best, I wish the folks with the 3 billion would do something to help people rather than be so mean and nasty.

hugs to you dear girl…love and hope in your heart are the best wishes I can send…..and maybe a winning song at the festivals!!

Hi Dearest Patricia, yep, Austin is a blue area in a red state.

Not sure about any textbooks, but Kelly loves public school. It’s just amazing how fun they make it for the kids today.

Actually, we’ll be paying off all her medical bills from our own pocket, our health insurance one of the things we let go some time ago. Luckily in Texas, there is no interest added to medical bills and you can work out a low payment plan with the hospitals and such.

I believe one of your dual-citizen daughters could “petition” for your Canadian citizen status. I know here in the U.S. if an immediate family member is a U.S. citizen they can petition. Would you stay on the west coast? So beautiful in B.C. And the climate — heavenly, not too hot.

Yes, sometimes jobs are lost when companies grow and change. But how many MORE than 16 million jobs would be not only created — but sustained and grown, if government got out of the way of free enterprise?

You do know, right, how much debt this president has racked up via stimulus and other nonsense programs, vis a vis all previous presidents combined? Stimulus that’s been overall ineffective.

I did not agree with the stimulus George Bush spent either.

I don’t read books on economics, but am currently reading one on Carly Simon. Very nice read, quite a cast of musical characters.

Fox News — I LOVE Fox News, O’Reilly and Hannity — such awesome guys!

Yes, times are tough for many.

But better days ahead, for sure! And today is a great one. We have food. And still have our house (for now anyway, S.P.S., our mortgage holder has been working with us on the back payments.) Zion’s Bank did foreclose a couple months ago on the building Jim operated his car biz from — got behind on the payments, and in the end they wouldn’t let us try to catch up, even tho we were there 19 years!!

We even borrowed money from my parents a few months ago — I’ve not asked them for money in 28 years, since college. I am using part of it to scout out my eBay finds. TG for my parents, God bless them.

Jim’s now working for someone else, but the economy’s still slow…

Yet, God and the Universe always provide.

I know things will work out for you too.

I hope you enjoy today and laugh a lot! I’m gonna laugh at LEAST 100 times today!! Children laugh so much more than we do, we should be like them for sure. Speaking of whom, I’m going to get her up now. Gymnastics every weekday. We couldn’t afford it for her if I wasn’t selling on eBay. Necessity — the mother of invention, eh?!!

And this mother’s going to make coffee now. :)
