(Soda can guy is actually a kit.)
That the glasses were pre-owned by Super Special Secret Agent Gage T. adds much to their allure, I think!
Lots of boy energy from that yard sale — fun.
I know I’ve shown y’all that pic of me and Sister Rosie before. Couldn’t find the one I was looking for.
Oh well, one to look forward to!
I still have and sometimes wear the shirt I was wearing up there 18 years ago!!!
(Liara, that was taken on the lower deck of Mader’s Wharf – Mug & Anchor pub in Mahone.
I DID blonde up my roots yesterday morning at 6:30,
I realize KitKat and I have exactly the same hair color,
I bought a new mascara!!!
my blue guitar ended up going for $170.00 AND…..
I still have my little acoustic one to play — how lucky am I!!!!!!!!

Oh, and my toenails will be painted tomorrow morning by light that’ll stream in on angel wings.

The tincan robot looks cool.
Nice pressed flowers on the top there.
If someone gets a letter written on real paper, that person is likely to feel very special. Especially in this age of instant emails and whatsapp.
Cheers to you and your sister, Jannie!

It’s nice to see an actual letter – how lovely that you do that. (I had a mental picture of sending either of my sisters a letter and them wondering why I would do that.
)
Good deal on the ebay stuff!

You’ve been a busy lady, Jannie. It sounds like things are going well with your ebay adventures. Hand-written letters are a treasure and a bit of a lost art, I think. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Hello Beautiful People on an awesome Sunday morning!
Dearest RavenBlack, I bought that paper in that town about the time the pic of Rosie and me was taken, yep! Still have a lot left. Such special stuff, been hoarding it. The tin can robot did not sell the first round, time to relist it! Or maybe mail it to Brian!!
Dearest Brian, the P.S. redaction was nothing too exciting, I assure you! Just a little something to protect the guilty.
Oh, and the light was amazing for toe painting this morning!!!
Dearest Lynn, it’s my very best stationery, bought in 1994 (maybe ‘95) at “The Teazer” gift shop in Mahone Bay. The Teazer was actually a wooden boat that caught fire after being chased by British ships over 250 years ago. I think that’s how the story goes. I bet your sisters would LOVE a handwritten letter!!
Dearest Daisy, yep eBay busy but I love that I can do it from home when I want to — when I’m not running the roads to ferry The Child all over town. let us resurrect the lost art of letters writing!!!
Did someone say “More Coffee!!” ? I think they did.

Oh it’s so nice to see another ebay seller. I hope your things go well. That was great news about the guitar. I mainly sell old clothes, as a family we seem to get through loads. Unlike you I can’t fit into the t-shirt I wore years ago!

Dearest SUPER Cool Joey… fellow eBay Believer….. Oh, I LOVE eBay, as I know you do. The thrill. The fun. The neon lights flashing green when an item will sell.
WAIT until you see my corner, I’ve been taking pix, both with iPhone and a few with my good camera of my store as it is building. The robot sale just ended, did very well. Looking forward to surrounding it firmly but gently in some of the 60 gallons of packing peanuts I just bought on — where else…. eBay!! Gonna get me at least 120 galllons next time. And 500 ft of bubble wrap next order. Hey — takes a little money to make a little more money.
We always wear our clothes OUT, never get to sell any. But we BUY them good-used. So…. your’e skinnier now, and your shirt looks like a sheet flapping in the wind on you??

What fabulous paper! Seriously a keeper.
Do those chaps really work? I’d think teeth would go through anything short of a great pair of boot.

Dearest Alice Audrey. It is nice having the paper. And nice using it too. The chaps are to go over regular pants, but boots are very much still recommended. They’re made from 100% Cordura Nylon, and double thickness from just above the knees, down. Pretty tough. I’m not really up on my rattler stats, tho. Haven’t been close to one in Texas yet, and sure don’t plan on it!
Leslie, Dearest, Blue Bunny is just so happy that my eBaying is enabling me to buy him all the salad he wants! Plus, he’s more into the harmonica these days, anyway! SO HAPPY to see you out and about! Always a life highlight to has a little blog cup of tea with you. Oh, and I’ll miss the robot, he was getting to be quite the pal with all his sayings and mannerisms.
And off into dreamy land goes I!

Dr. J. and Hilary — two of my very favorite people on this amazing planet…!!!
Ahhhh, Dear Dr. J. And i just ordered 2 packs of Zen postcards from The Zen Store, owned by the same gal who makes those Amazing Aventine Hill soaps. Remember the JT lyric… something like “she gets a long letter — sends back a post card. Times are hard.”
Well, Jannie a-gonnna-be sending some postcards — but these days, somewhat uncommon too.
Deerist my hilree — it’s me now — blue Buny.
my jannie and i has mised you so mutch!!! Okay, enough of that, BB. Poor Hilary was probably starting to get her good grammar back again… yes — Jannie now…
And after I post my new poem with pix, I plan on checking into my next gems to put on auction….. Yamaha Digital Drums, an amazing Picnic At Ascot cooler backpack with a detachable insulated wine bottle holder, the latter I REALLY want to keep and use. But Jim won’t let me, boo hoo.
What an awesome kit tho, for a hike. It even has dinner service for 2, plus a cheese cutting board! I’ve also got a mandala metitation art kit, a motorcycle helmet, a men’s like-new Henderson Titanium wet suit and a only-once-used wood and metal bingo set… among other things. have to make sure all the little Bingo balls are with it — so I can represent the auction 100%. Lots of work in the life of an ebayer, eh??!!
I’ll go round back of the liquor store and snag me some mailing boxes. When I can I recycle boxes and packing material. And since the above letter I’ve landed 100 7″x10″ poly bubble mailing envelopes for 19 cents each! And 60 gallons of packing peanuts. LOVE to meet you in the Canadian East — we’ll make sure to plan it when Liara’s there too, so we can all have some jolly good chin wags!!

Now I’m sad you’re selling your blue pig-nosed guitar! wah- I once sold one for diapers, n my ice skates too!
Good thing I don’t need Snake chaps, I’m allergic to fragrance in soaps… Oh well. No poison snakes up here ya know, unless there are pets that get loose- or an occasional lost copperhead.
So that’s how KitKat got that color… I want those robots- I’m a sucker for those gizmos. Don’t you love yard sales? I sleep thru them now- You are so busy!
Good idea multi-tasking Rosie’s note with a post! I bet she gets them much faster online… My sisters don’t do much online anymore. Will see Big Sis this week n maybe a brother too. will be away a couple days, going North near the border for a memorial. Have a lovely end of the week- I shall return.

Dearest Snaggle of the land of many ocean motorcycles… Yeah, and I’ve not yet broken the news to Kalyani, she’ll be a bit sad too. BUT… a really nice guy bought it, a pro musician whose played and toured with a lot of famous names. I am happy the guitar is in safe and appreciative hands. He says he’s getting a bit of feedback from the low E. I guess his ear is way more tuned in to his guitar sound than mine will probably ever be.
I still have my ice skates, tho! Haven’t used them in YEARS. They’ll be there when I’m ready for them, tho.
They tell me there are no snakes AT ALL in Hawaii.
Yes, KitKat’s secret is out!!!!! He ahs me blonde up his roots for him.
He’s really a brunet.
Well, I’m not so much of a robot gal but I did enjoy having him in the hosue a while. Kelly and her pal had fun with him. I LAUGHED at him when I turned him upside down to take the batteries out for shipping — he kept saying “Ouch…” in a voice not unlike E.T.s.
I hope the kid he ends up with has fun with him too.
Yard sales — YES! LOVe them indeed!! Jim’s the one who does most of the buying now, he’s good at scouting out good stuff. And I’m good at the eBay. I love that people are happy with the stuff they get. And I get $$$$!! Sweeeeet.
Yes, seemed like a fun enough note to share with you all too!
Be safe and happy on your Northerly trek to see family members. I know your pix will be GREAT, and your commentary will carry us all away to lovely places.

Jannie, I recognize the Canadian Maritime background of the photo with you and your sister. This image of you reminds everyone human beings are ageless. People selectively forget their immortality. Nice to wake up and remember what matters is not what we are taught to think about. Watch what happens as you drop programming that prompts you to assume aging and death are inevitable.

That’s it Liara! Ageless. Timeless. Lace and Fineness. Beauty & Elegance. Hey, those are Rod Stewart lyrics, as I recall… “You’re in my heart, you’re in my soul. You’ll be my breath should I grow old…” Or something like that. That was actually one of the first ever 45 RPM records I had when I was like 14 or 15!! I also had “Dust In The Wind” and “The Monster Mash.”
Luckily, and a lot due to your blog teachings, I have dropped that death and aging programming. We ARE all timeless beings with the gift of The Golden Now always present.

Jannie — I loved reading your letter to your sister. I am so nosy. I love reading old postcards in vintage stores. I know it’s odd and perhaps a bit invasive, but at least the people who wrote cards are probably not care anymore:~)
I also liked the paper and pressed flowers…WOW. It’s also fun to see your handwriting. It looks very artistic me.
Tin Can Robot looked fun, but what does he do? Was it hard to sell your guitar? I liked the last picture. The colors are really cool, but the couch looks like green paint spilled on it:~) Is that rude to say?
I hope your summer is going well. I know you’re keeping busy because I’ve read the post about eBay. I’m heading back to it to leave a comment.

SARA! I did not see you up there until now, please forgive.
I was checking this post to see if somehow a spammer got though, because every day I’ve get dozens of spams awaiting THIS post, and this post only. Strange.
Glad you’re not a spammer. In fact, you’re one of my favorite NON-spammers of all time.
You know what, Dear Sara, I actually wrote that letter on a straight edge, adding in the “tails” of the y, g, j, etc. after I wrote the words. I don’t like how on unlined paper my writing goes all slanted.
That “green painted” couch has seen a million wars and sunsets, yes. Just part of an old sectional that’s still hanging around. It’s actually velvet so depending on which way the grain is running, it does take on a color of it’s own.
And please tell NO ONE, there are stains on the carpet covered up by that big rug Kalyani gave me. Not a soul now, you hear??
Not sure what the tin can robot does. Hopefully the dishes!
At first, yes, it was hard to sell that little blue guitar. But once I made the decision the Universe took over and I realized it’s just “a thing” and things come and go. It came, it had some fun, it went. And now somebody else will hopefully thrill the world with it!
You are AWESOME!! xoxooxoxoxoxo

How did you manage to dodge the rattlers? Well, I guess it wouldn’t necessarily be that hard. I only ran across a handful in the course of the 15 summers I spent there.
