Everything’s Good. There Is Plenty. (a poem)

Photography, Poetry, Style & Stuff | Posted by Jannie on 20 August 2012 @ 6:11 PM 38 Comments

Everything’s good.

There is plenty.

Everything’s good.

There is plenty.

Everything’s good.

There is plenty.

~~ end of poem

The reason no one on eBay bid on the practically-new Rockport walking shoes Jim bought at a yard sale (in MY exact style, size and color) is……

The Universe wanted ME to have them!!!

Oh yeah, Baby — you know I’ll be stylin’ ’round town in those!

I really like The Universe!

Do you?

stuff 024

I photographed the little figurine above yesterday and put it up on eBay this morning.

She (or he?) sits about 8″ tall.

See my other figure here.

Hey, Ravenblack! Those words just came tumbling out after Jim called this early afternoon and I learned he was having a”bad day.” After I hung up I said those words out loud, and thought – hey, there’s a poem.

GDK. Souls and soles, I’m the luckiest gal I know! And especially now that you’ve found my blog!!!! Life’s now spun full circle, and bursting with so so so much love.

Hey Dear Linda, I too am a thrift store shopper. You never know what you’ll find. Can’t wait to wear my new shoes when the weather cools off. I
l’ll wear ’em with navy socks. whooohoo

    Jannie said,

    Well, howdee y’all!!

NOW… before I say another word, I want to share an additional pic of My Rockports in natural outdoor light which showcases their true color much better than our dining room corner cabinet does. And here they are…

    There, now I feel complete.

    So my darlings…

Darling Brian — yes he (or she?) :) is up for bid now. And if she (or he?) does not sell I shall send him or her to one of my blogging buds on the Massachusetts coast, she seems to like him.

Darling Snaggle — speaking of the Mass. coast… I’ll mail you the figure if no one bites. Yes, a mantra indeed. If you used the same email, you can probably get eBay to send you your old passcode. And I’d put a reasonable But-It-now of $30.00 on the shoes — thought for sure someone would snap them up because I think new they’re like, over $100.00? Size 7s!!! whooohooo.

Darling Lynn — you never know with eBay who will want what. It continues to amaze and surprise me. I just keep putting things up and see what will stick and what does not. Got a bunch of gorgeous art books to list in the next couple days. And 2 pairs of downhill skis. And a size M women’s leather jacket, black.

Darling Eric! As I was saying just above to Snaggle… I was such a “Good” girl. Tho I seriously wanted those shoes for me, I thought of bills to pay, and listed them for $30.00 — thought for sure they’d find a new home. And they did — OURS!! And the Universe said I’d fulfilled my good deed and had no reason to re-list. I’ll have to model me about town, of course, in said shoes doing all kinds of fun and unusual Jannie things. :)

Darling Daisy — what size feet are you? Please don’t say 7, because I’ll be heart-broken that I’m keeping them for myself. :) Yes, there IS always plenty, ans always has been all my thus-far 48 years, even tho I’ve sometimes let myself erroneously think there is a lack.

DARLING THOMMALYN!!!!! I knew you’d come back one day!!! :) And YOU are ever in my thoughts and heart too, you sweet lump of love you. Your big hugs have made me all warm and fuzzier than ever today, thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss lovely, lovely Darling JSD… a boot buying eBay lady in the know who was interested in the Franco Sartos opened my eyes that perhaps boots could be well displayed in photos on actual human legs or a mannequin. So… Jannie dearest needs only to summon the energy to execute said photos. At this moment, Jannie is having fun blogging and drinking coffee — with no immediate photographic footwear sessions planned. But you know Jannie — once she gets in said mood, all boots you speak of will make their way back to my eBay page with renewed vigor and aplomb.

And HOLY COW, Jennifer!!! In the past few days they’ve made me a “Power Seller” AND a “Top Rated” one too. WOW!! Plus, I’m well over 100 stars now!!!!!! As weird Al so wonderfully sings… “They LOVE me on eBay.”

    You know his tune…? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKtlK7sn0JQ

Oh, no worries, I can’t spell Iaasaic either. And still have trouble sometimes with Miachel. See!!!

Hey, you uber-gorgeous beings!! Thanks for popping by.

Manic Daily — nope, did not make the figurine. About the only things I know how to make are the bed, cesar salad from a bagged mix and a lot of noise. :) Yes, I know — I GOT NEW WONDERFUL (Used-but-excellent)SHOES, yay me!!!! :)

Thank you Dear Daydreamer Too. And the Universe brought me a beautiful set of yard-sale midnight blue scrubs – brand new with tags, from a yardsale — so I can go about town with a stethoscope and pretending I’m a doctor. :) Actually, I think I’ll list those on eBay.

STEVE E!!! I TOTALLY know what you mean about loving the Universe and Creation more all the time, as I grown in love and understanding of how totally AWESOME and unending all the good stuff is. Peace to YOU too, Dude-Friend.

DENISE — who knows about deals and such, I KNOW!!!!!!! I’ll climb mountains in those.

Hank — KAYKUALA — “the joy where time and space do not matter” is what it’s all about, you smart sweet soul you. I hope you are always lost in time and space and loving the joy that we are all here to partake of.

That’s it COLLEEN of Floyd!! Threes are magical, fulfilling and round like the planets and stars. I’ll be over to your 3-photo post as soon as I publish this comment. I do LOVE your photography, you’ve got a real talent as I’ve told you many a time. A real joy to behold what your eyes see. Yes, interesting how the artist did leave some body parts out. :)

ALICE AUDREY!! Well, I can send you that in an eMail. And guess what????? It’s selling — as in some zen soul wants that statue!!! Alas, I can’t mail it to Snaggle. Oh well, the Universe has spoken. And my new shoes dance all by themselves.

PAT HATT! Yes, I admit for a moment I was thinking I needed more — bills keep on coming in — so money must keep on coming in too. :) But, it always works out. Seek on eBay and ye shall probably find! :)

AUDREY HOWITT!! Really? You like this post?? Cool!! I’ll have The Hubby keep his eye our for a pair of RockPorts for you?? Size 7? LOVE your energy –thanks. Annnnnd, I’ll be making and coding up YOUR sidebar button in the next couple -few days.

Hey, CLAUDIA!! I LOVE your silly mood — bring it on ANY time. And do you know there are yogi gurus who have not eaten food in YEARS!?? True dat! They live on air, so I guess they are pretty skinny like THIS figure.

Oh my goodness, Susan L.Daniels — can you see me blushing clear all the way over here in the Hill Country of Central Texas at your lovely comment?? And GIRL — I will try not to disappoint you in any of my posts. :)

And PAMELA is back !!! How AWESOME is my life??!!?? :) So great to see you. Yes, your poem really swept me away, as great poetry does. Yeah, dontcha just LOVE my shoes. In fact, after I post this, then visit Colleen’s blog I’m going to sit on my back deck with those shoes and stare lovingly into their eyes. :)

    Bah, y’all!!
